I'm not sure what to say about Tulsa, OK. However, it is expensive here for no reason. Lol. No…read moreshade, it's a way of life which is different everywhere. Visiting Pinkitzel, I was so excited to see that they have cupcakes. I wanted a sweet treat that was just enough without overdoing it. When I walked into the very cute, we'll decorated and nicely organized shop, I was greeted by the cashier. As you walk in to your left is a cotton candy shelf, straight ahead is the cashier, macaroons, cupcakes, specialty chocolatea, ice cream and, to the right is all kind of bulk candy, modern and old fashioned candies. After walking around the shop that was nicely decorated, smelled good, and had a cute seating area in a bay window that looked out to the restaurants and other shops in the downtown Tulsa. I chose the cookies n'cream cupcake. So cute. The cupcake was moist and soft and had good flavor throughout the cupcake. The topping wasn't overbearing with being too much or too sweet. I've taken several photos of the shop and what it offers. After eating my cupcake, I went to look for goodies for my little one. When I went to pay, I was surprised to see how much I paid for two small items. To me, it was costly. Especially for one of them. I t was alright as they were gifts. I'd say when you come to Tulsa, plan out your budget. Overall, the shop was worth the visit for the experience and yummy treats. Happy Yelping!

On my visit I had the pleasure of a short visit with Chef Amanda, also known around these parts as "The Cheese Wench". If you want a cheesy conversation, she's your person! Sorry, bad joke I know, but she is serious about her cheese.

If you need vegan food prepared, catered, etc. this is a spot you should seriously consider. The service was great as well. Everyone there was kind and executed all aspects of the service very well. Each dish was well executed, seasoned and spiced just right, and everything was well balanced and paired nicely with each other. The mushroom preparations were so tasty. Wifey even liked it and she isn't into mushrooms that can't pull a rabbit out of a hat. The vegan cheezes were also a highlight. This is one of a very few places that offer vegan catering options at all and of those limited options, ironically enough, The Meat & Cheese show is one of the best. I highly recommend this spot for any event or meal for which one must provide non-omnivore options.

You'll know you're there when you see the 20-foot-tall Friendly Lumberjack statue, Meadow Gold Mack, standing outside. Within the store are many different local vendors. I enjoyed browsing through vintage clothes, records, knickknacks , Tulsa-themed tees, and even a tiny bookstore. They have everything from handmade candles, postcards, to original artwork from Tulsa artist. Don't leave without checking out their custom coffee blend, Bucker's Brew. It's such a fun, creative atmosphere that perfectly captures the spirit of the Mother Road. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique souvenir or just a cool place to explore! Also, it's on the same street as Decopolis, a second smaller souvenir store, Bucks, a thrift store and the other giant statues to be sure to capture photos of.

There is a huge selection of merchandise in the place, everything from art, to t-shirts, to vintage goods and jewelry. The Lowdown has been doing some filming here, so that has created even more of a vibe than even normally exists. It's a great energy! Prices vary, but many of the vendors have pretty decent deals on things. The service here is great too! The owner, Mary Beth has created a culture of service oriented fun, added a dash of great music, and made a really fun place to shop!
