I appreciate the clarification and understand that one of the cancellations was due to a family emergency. Hope all is well with your mother. That said... scheduling delays, limited availability and multiple reschedules still impacted my timeline and planning, which ultimately led me to move forward with another company. I understand that unexpected situations come up, but reliability and consistency are important factors when choosing a service. Sharing this for transparency so others can make an informed decision.

We found Ivan after searching for the right Ikea cabinet installation company for some time. He was showcased in a custom Ikea cabinet manufacturer page but what set him apart (and ultimately made us choose him vs. others) was the quality and attention to detail that was evident in the pictures from his previous jobs. Our installation consisted of various materials, standard Ikea Sektion boxes, custom acrylic upper doors (push to open), and custom white oak base and tall cabinets. When the job started, Ivan was quick to point out seemingly minor improvements to the original design that made a big difference: we were able to remove/relocate filler pieces that resulted in a cleaner installation. Which brings me to my second point. Whenever there was a decision to be made, however minor, Ivan took the time to stop and consult with us regarding how we wanted to proceed. This is a refreshing take as oftentimes contractors make their own choices without the client's input, resulting in costly changes down the road. Just like the pictures during our installer search, Ivan's work displayed a keen attention to detail. Ivan takes pride on his work and cares about the final product. For instance, after he installed the uppers, we felt that some of the gaps around a corner cabinet section were a bit bigger than the rest. Mind you, this was not a simple door adjustment, but Ivan took the time to remove previously installed side panels to make sure everything lined up precisely. So when Johnny came by he noticed a lot of "mickey mouse" things the flipper did to the house, dishwasher in the wrong place, sink not in the center, etc. So we ended up changing our lay out to be the correct way. In the matter of 2 weeks we had a whole new kitchen. The attention to detail his crew provides is unmatched and his prompt communication is very rare in this type of field.
