We completed a full kitchen remodel using IKEA Axstad White Shaker cabinets, and hiring Ivan was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire project. From the very beginning, Ivan was communicative, dependable, punctual, and incredibly knowledgeable. He showed up when he said he would, stayed on schedule, and completed the project exactly when promised. What impressed us most wasn't just his installation skills, but his ability to think creatively and help us improve our original design. Throughout the project, Ivan patiently listened to our ideas and offered thoughtful suggestions that made the kitchen significantly better than we had imagined. He never pressured us, but instead helped us see opportunities to maximize both function and beauty. One of the most challenging areas of our kitchen is a curved wall located behind the staircase. Rather than simply working around it, Ivan embraced the challenge and created solutions that gave the space a true custom-built feel. He carefully modified one of the cabinets to accommodate the curve and suggested replacing what would have been standard upper cabinets with beautiful open wood shelving, allowing the architectural details of the curved wall and ceiling beam to become design features instead of something hidden away. Looking back, this ended up being one of our favorite elements of the entire kitchen. He also suggested adding glass-front upper cabinets to display our dishes. Originally, we were planning on traditional solid white cabinet doors throughout, but his recommendation added warmth, character, and visual interest to the space. We are so glad we trusted his expertise. Ivan also helped us create practical custom touches that would have cost much more through a traditional custom cabinet shop. For example, he designed a pull-out broom and mop storage cabinet next to our refrigerator, making use of otherwise wasted space. He installed lighting inside every kitchen drawer, giving the kitchen a high-end luxury feel. Our pantry area, located beneath the large picture window, appears to have two large drawers from the outside, but inside he installed additional pull-out inner drawers that dramatically increased storage and organization. The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail was exceptional. We had what felt like hundreds of cabinets, drawers, accessories, and IKEA components, yet Ivan handled every detail flawlessly. Anyone who has worked with IKEA products knows they can be surprisingly intricate, and having someone with Ivan's experience made all the difference. Beyond his technical expertise, Ivan was simply a pleasure to work with. He was patient, professional, fair in his pricing, and genuinely invested in helping us achieve the best possible result. He treated our kitchen as if it were his own project. The end result is a kitchen that looks and functions like a custom-designed space, but without the custom cabinet price tag. If you are considering IKEA kitchen cabinets, IKEA storage systems, or any IKEA furniture installation, do yourself a favor and call Ivan. His expertise, creativity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail are truly unmatched. We could not be happier with our new kitchen, and we're incredibly grateful for everything Ivan did to help turn our vision into reality. Highly recommend! read more

Ivan and his son were incredible! I never thought an IKEA kitchen could look this custom. But Ivan really knows the products and how to work with them to achieve a high end appearance. He was always communicative and helpful with suggestions. When it comes to work that is great, fast, and cost effective- people say you can only pick 2 out of the 3. But with Ivan, we got all 3 for sure. read more

This review is long overdue - I am not the one to give 5 star reviews freely, but there is no one more deserving of this coveted spot than Ivan Martinez, owner of Innovation Cabinetry Installs. We found Ivan after searching for the right Ikea cabinet installation company for some time. He was showcased in a custom Ikea cabinet manufacturer page but what set him apart (and ultimately made us choose him vs. others) was the quality and attention to detail that was evident in the pictures from his previous jobs. Our installation consisted of various materials, standard Ikea Sektion boxes, custom acrylic upper doors (push to open), and custom white oak base and tall cabinets. When the job started, Ivan was quick to point out seemingly minor improvements to the original design that made a big difference: we were able to remove/relocate filler pieces that resulted in a cleaner installation. Which brings me to my second point. Whenever there was a decision to be made, however minor, Ivan took the time to stop and consult with us regarding how we wanted to proceed. This is a refreshing take as oftentimes contractors make their own choices without the client's input, resulting in costly changes down the road. Just like the pictures during our installer search, Ivan's work displayed a keen attention to detail. Ivan takes pride on his work and cares about the final product. For instance, after he installed the uppers, we felt that some of the gaps around a corner cabinet section were a bit bigger than the rest. Mind you, this was not a simple door adjustment, but Ivan took the time to remove previously installed side panels to make sure everything lined up precisely. Based on our experience, we would not hesitate to recommend Ivan and Innovation Cabinet Installs to anyone looking for the highest quality cabinet installation around. read more

I am so glad I found this company and will be using them again on our next install. This review is for installation of IKEA PAX closet system with custom doors from The Cabinet Face. I interviewed four others and after checking out his photos, and talking to him, could tell he has a real passion for his work and it really showed when he was here. I also have uneven flooring and a very uneven closet cavity that he was able to work with. Ivan did a series a complex cuts for the wood to fit so precisely. He cut a piece of trim to have waves and curves in it to align with the top wall! Also, he made sure to use cutting techniques that make the wood joints seamless. He really has crazy attention to detail. I am really happy how our closet turned out! Also his pricing was more reasonable, other contractors were trying to charge me for things I didnt need. I thought the work and attention to detail was so good I ended up adding more money to my payment. I just felt what we got was more than worth what he quoted me and I never do that. I def will use Innovation and Ivan's services again for another project and will be reccomending him to others. read more

Ivan is a rock star!! Our IKEA kitchen install required meticulous precision. Ivan literally had less than 1/4" of flexibility to work with given the large beam at the end of our kitchen. Not only did Ivan succeed in installing the cabinets with precise accuracy, but he also discovered a small error in our design. Ivan literally saved the day. We are sooo happy with the way the cabinets turned out. Ivan loves his work and he loves people -- a winning combination!! We are so grateful to Ivan and Innovation Cabinetry Installs!! Reaching out to Ivan for our IKEA/Semihandmade kitchen installation was the best decision we made throughout our tumultuous remodel process. He was extremely responsive, professional, and detail-oriented every step of the way. He also referred us to an amazing countertop fabricator, Jose, who was an absolute artist when it came to creating a seamless look with our quartz counters, backsplash, and waterfall island. Ivan and Jose truly brought our project to life and we can't thank them enough. 10/10 would absolutely recommend! read more

Ivan was quick to respond via a Yelp inquiry. I provided pics of what was needed and details so he could provide an accurate quote. Price was very fair and competitive and we scheduled for a Saturday to install some IKEA BESTA cabinets in our kitchen. Ivan communicated his arrival time, showed up early, but asked if it was ok, so again, very professional and communicative. Ivan installed 4 cabinets and his attention to detail is amazing. Came out beautiful, level, and no issues. While here we asked about a few other things we were looking to get done and he took care of those as well. Everything came out perfect. Highly recommend this company and the owner, Ivan. read more

I contacted INNOVATION and Ivan with a call to help me finish a kitchen that was left undone by a previous contractor. Ivan was super responsive, communicating with me well into the night and adjusted his schedule to get to me ASAP. INNOVATION arrived and were very professional, respectful of my home, and quickly got to work addressing my requests and creating unique solutions to address the oddities that my former contractor left. I have been a Construction Manager for over 25 years, have worked on projects at New York's World Trade Center to mega plants at Intel in Oregon, and have worked with the biggest Contractors in the business, literally. Unfortunately, it is becoming rare to find subcontractors that are truly committed to providing quality work but, INNOVATION, Ivan and his team prove that there are still high-level, professional, crafts people out there and it is a joy when you find them. read more

Ivan of Innovation Cabinetry installed our Boxi by SemiHandmade cabinets in the kitchen and two bathrooms of our condo. He's an expert on these systems, having worked for Semi Handmade previously in-house, and he's been in the business for more than two decades. He's a can-do person: if there's an issue that comes up during your install (and there always is), he can find a workaround and ensure that your project stays on track and that the result looks beautiful when it's done. We found his prices very reasonable, too. read more

Ivan did the most beautiful job on my kitchen installation. I had ordered new cabinet doors, drawer fronts and panels to update my discontinued Ikea cabinets. I hired Ivan because he came highly recommended and offered me very valuable guidance during my design/ordering process with the manufacturer. Ivan's extensive knowledge saved my project on numerous occasions, solving issues as they came up during installation. He further enhanced my project with additional fixes beyond the call of duty. He also ordered and installed pull-out shelving, saving me another step. Regarding the cabinet knobs and pull hardware, he was very precise in drilling holes and the placement is perfect. He is very reasonably priced in this industry but the real value for me is getting the job done so well! If you want your kitchen done the right way, give Ivan a call! read more
