My wife and I recently hired Progress Kitchen and Bath for a full master bathroom renovation in our three-story condo, which included a full Schluter waterproofing system, floor-to-ceiling porcelain tiles, and a new double vanity. While we are absolutely thrilled with the final look, there were a few minor bumps along the way that kept it from being a perfect 5-star experience. Here is the breakdown of our project: Design & Prep with Helen Huff Helen was fantastic from day one. We brought her inspiration photos of the aesthetic we were going for, and she immediately pulled porcelain tiles that perfectly matched and refined our vision. She offered creative layout solutions for the double vanity, the shower, and the niche. Throughout the material selection process, she was patient, responsive, and extremely knowledgeable, even providing us with websites to browse on our own time. A massive bonus: Helen went above and beyond to ensure I had all the specific documentation my insurance company needed to process a related claim. Project Management with Justin Bici Justin was a stellar project manager. We were initially quoted 15-25 business days, but the team finished ahead of schedule in just 10 business days. Justin visited the site almost every day to ensure the job was on track, and he was incredibly responsive to all of my texts and calls. Every timeline he provided was met exactly as promised, and he offered a lot of great insight based on his experience. Even when the vanity sub-contractors did a mediocre job on the caulking, Justin informed me he would remediate the issue and would schedule someone to come out and fix it. Albert & the Crew & Technical Execution The technical execution of the shower itself is top-notch. The crew manager Albert clearly had years of experience and knew exactly how to handle and properly install the Schluter waterproofing system. The precision of the porcelain installation is beautiful--the cuts and edges are incredibly clean and precise. Seeing that floor-to-ceiling tile go up and the double vanity finally set in place was easily the absolute best moment of the project! Areas for Improvement (Why 4 Stars) Because our master suite is on the third floor, the crew stored their materials in our bedroom. While this made logical sense so they didn't have to carry things up and down the stairs constantly, we wish they had been more cautious. Unfortunately, we found a couple of chips in my wife's makeup vanity from materials being moved in and out of the room. Additionally, the post-renovation cleanup was lacking. We expected the floors to be restored to their pre-renovation condition, but we found scuffs on the floor that couldn't easily be removed with regular soap and water. The Verdict Helen, Justin, Albert and the tile crew delivered a beautiful, high-end bathroom. The design, project management, and tile expertise were exceptional. If the crew had been just a bit more careful with our personal furniture and the final site cleanup, this would be an easy 5 stars. I still highly recommend Progress Kitchen and Bath. read more

Shortly after I contacted KBS' corporate office about my issues mentioned below, the project manager reached out to schedule repairs and completion. The crew has worked steadily and the project manager has been in regular contact since. At least in this instance, KBS appears to be making a good faith effort to improve their service and the quality of the work. I will update further after the project is fully complete. read more

On 10/30/2021 I went to this location, as I am planning to remodel two bathrooms in my home. The posted hours advised that the location opens at 09:30AM. I got there at 09:45AM and the doors were locked. I called the location on the phone multiple times and no one answered. I left and went to Sam's club and at 10:45 AM I called the location one more time and someone finally answered the phone. They stated that I can come in and they should be there "after 11AM". I returned to the location at 11:05AM and the door was still locked. I called the location again and no one answered. This place does not seem very professional or reliable. This company deserves 0 stars. There have been so many, many issues with this company. Since I feel safety is important I will describe how they view customer safety first. SAFETY They (Berke the salesman, Mark the contractor, and Mr Tanner team lead) were given a key on start date of October 12. Berke told me before the project started that they would provide a lock box for the key. This never materialized. He chose not to respond to any texts the way he told me to communicate with him (which is my preferred method of contact). The first day the workmen were there they left the front door and patio door UNLOCKED. I told Mark and he said it wouldn't happen again. They came twice during a 2.5 week period. By October 31 they had LOST THE HOUSE KEY. I had to provide them another one and I found out from a worker they were storing this key under the front door mat. The patio door was left UNLOCKED one more time and the kitchen window was left UNLOCKED once. I told Mark I was not comfortable with the key being left under the front door it was still left under the mat. TREATMENT OF FEMALE STAFF There was a helpful young woman in the store who was working on organizing the job dates when I started the process of hiring this company. I saw the salesman treat her with contempt. I thought if he does that in front of me what does he do when there are no customers in the store? She resigned shortly after and the salesman was quite surprised at her departure and told me he thought "she was happy" not acknowledging his behavior towards her in any way. THE RENOVATIONS I had kitchen completely redone and 2 bathroom cabinets replaced. The project was to have taken 3-4 weeks it is now 6 weeks and 6 days and is still not complete. On thanksgiving day the stove was still not yet installed. Mark doesn't respond in any sort of timely manner, it can be days before he responds. He will tell me workmen will arrive and they don't. I have no idea if and when anyone is going to show up. There is a language issue - I have worked with many clients /students where English is not their first language. It has never been an issue to figure out a way to understand each other until now. I arrived home one night to an angry French speaking man in my living room who thought that since I didn't understand him that he should get louder and louder and start being more emphatic with his body language. This did not help in my understanding him. He had me use my phone instead of his to call a contractor other than Mark. I am assuming he communicated there was some sort of problem with the install of cabinets. There are mismatched handles on the cabinets and many of the cabinets have damage inside them. I am supposed to have a set of glass doors on a kitchen cabinet and they are still missing, I have 2 short pieces of 4" backsplash in kitchen and have no idea where the rest of it is.. the contract says 44 as a quantity. LACK OF RESPECT FOR PROPERTY They used my new dining table as a work bench and damaged my porch floor with something white that I can't remove. There are 3 contractor size trash bags in my dining room - which is actually less of their trash than what was in there for an entire month. The doorframe molding in one bathroom is dented from banging something into it. I haven't inspected the floors yet (installed one year ago) I arrived home from work and found out they had taken out a fairly new faucet (which they had not finished installing) I had in one of the old bathroom cabinets and put in another one very different from what I had. Not the style I wanted for that bathroom and the faucet I purchased is gone. This has been an absolutely horrible experience I could add pictures but I think readers can get an idea of what kind of workmanship they do at some jobs. I realize there are some people that had a good experience - I don't know what was different for them. What is a different contractor? More expensive job? Would encourage you to keep in mind the safety issues. Would you trust them with a key to your home? read more

they have great customer service. I got my hall bathroom remodeled lasst year and my kitchen remodeled recently and here in a couple months I will definitely be going back to get my master bath redone as well they have great showroom samples and quality materials! this place is amazing! read more

I believe I posted earlier and possibly taken down. If I could give no stars I would - simply spent 17k for bathroom remodel that was started 2 months ago and still not even half finished! Definitely don't look at the showroom and believe they have contractors that do that work! They are not reliable several days they didn't show and then would show up without letting us know. The Project Manager said he would be in touch daily and doesn't show up until we call and then doesn't respond in a timely manner. the tub was installed and they left plastic on it and have since caulked and painted. The pipe on the shower faucet wasn't cut short enough so instead of cutting correctly the caulked the faucet. the grout work is awful and if I could figure out how to post pictures you could see. when planning we had molding and quarter round and they tiled and it looks industrial- something in a department store bathroom- I could go on m, but will leave with this- make sure they are reputable and their work is really theirs!
