The restaurant looks really nice. I'm currently writing this review as I'm waiting to get my waitress's attention. The only person who was really helpful was Craig. He was super attentive. Thanks for that as our waitress hardly checked on us and walked right by without acknowledging us. I couldn't even flag her down for a jug of water or more milk as if she was trying to avoid us. I actually walked to the lobby to get a cup of water then asked Craig for some water as well as the kid's dessert. When trying to get the bill, she stormed right by us in a hurry to get another tables order in... that's great, but it would be great if you could just bring us a bill so we can leave. Obviously, we did something wrong that made you want to avoid us. I didn't even complain that you brought out garlic bread vs the cheese garlic bread. I didn't even bug you for ketchup when my daughter really wanted it. Geez.
For the food:
Chicken tikki curry: ok
Beer battered Haddock & chips: smelled fishy and wasn't warm
Kid's fried chicken jenga: delicious
Rainbow beetroot: ok as I'm not a fan of mustard seeds that were all over it. The pistachio, beets and goat cheese was good.
Overall, nice decor and place. The place seemed lively. The service lacked a bit but Craig made up for it. Thanks Craig. He gets the extra star for this restaurant. He was all over the restaurant and made sure everyone was fine. read more
