Had an okay experience here at Kit Kat Lounge. My girlfriends and I came here for their drag brunch and unfortunately were seated in the back meaning we didn't get much action back there and we weren't seated in a spot to be able to see the TV screen which shows what's going on in the front room. The ladies did a great job though - I just wish we were able to see a lot of it. Because we weren't getting much action my friends and I wanted to talk since we hadn't caught up in a while but the music was fairly too loud to hear anything. FYI make sure you make time for traffic & parking if you go on a day where there's a game. Also they have cash in case you need to get change and they accept card. The food I give a 2/5 The mini beignets were okay but lacked sweetness. The salad was inedible - I didn't touch it after the first bite and tasting very old lettuce. They also didn't put dressing on mine - I should've taken a pic but I was too disappointed too. The steak was cooked very well (a little salty but thats ok) and so was the egg. Those were the star of the meal. The potatoes had shredded cheese but needed lots of hot sauce & ketchup. I will say the service was pretty attentive. They made sure our champagne glasses were filled and we asked for a skinny margarita (included, along with other drinks). I will say that marg was STRONG! We didn't make the plans, but were excited to come to the Kit Kat Lounge for Drag Brunch. I've only been once, but I'd say it's generally a packed house. The place is cute, but it's a tight squeeze. Once we were seated, I was pretty sure I wasn't moving again until the show was over. Next stop... the line for the bathroom! LOL The show was very enjoyable. The performers change multiple times and definitely kept us entertained. Audience participation was a blast. The food was okay. The show was the main attraction, but I was hungry... and I was disappointed. My food was bland. I get it. Just about nobody is there for food. They're there for a show and drinks. Speaking of drinks, the online menu for drag brunch includes one page of food options and six for drinks! 'nuff said. So maybe it would be cool to drink one's brunch, but keep in mind the place is PACKED and a visits from the wait staff were few and far between. I was there with my GF a week ago. I am a long-time lover of this place. It used to be so much better. We were not greeted at the door. After a minute or so, a guy with a dollar bank says, "I'll be right with you." We were seated. We ordered our drinks... My drink used to come with fruit and umbrellas. Not so anymore. Dollar guy solicits us to see if we need change to give to the dancers. My friend offered a 10. "They only come in 20s" Really? DO they?? It used to be that the dancers dressed up in interesting outfits and sang their hearts out. Money was secondary. Now it is more like a strip club. The dancers bounce around holding their hands out. Been there a few times since they moved to their new location (and slightly changed the name). The drinks are really good, my favorite is the Key Lime martini, but they can make pretty much any drink you like, of course. The food is great also, the cheese plate, the calamari, and especially the smash burger! But of course, the reason people go is for the entertainment, and they've really broadened the talent now, it's not just the divas, but also singers and ballet and more. I love the art deco theme and the screens on all the walls really add a pop of personality. I'm not a huge drag person, but from what I've seen on the few times I've been, performances here do seem to be a little elevated - they're also bringing in other types of performances beyond drag too so that'll be exciting to try out. So many different types of martinis and all of them we've tried have been great, but I think the real standout is the new food - very high quality and plated with presentation in mind. A fun and unique dining experience! I came here with a group for a bachelorette party, and everyone had a great time. We went with the party package which included apps, main course, and 2 martinis. Decor (5/5)- The lounge has fun and chic decor, perfect for a night out. Service (5/5)- our server Simian was super friendly, and even let our guest of honor choose her martini off of designated menu. We even got these naked man playing cards when we would get one of our drinks. So fun, perfect for a bachelorette party. Entertainment (5/5)- actually, I think it was a 6/5! The entertainer was so amazing. Not only did she look fantastic and have amazing outfits, she danced so well and was very interactive with the crowd. She really made the night. Queens are a trans cast which just make it that much more of an incredible and inclusive experience. About a 1.5 hour experience, but staff is super organized. Today my wife and friends and I attended a drag brunch at the Kit Kat Lounge. This was my first drag show, however it was not my first brunch. I may have been the most experienced brunch eater in the room, so I figure it balances out. The lounge is great. Comfortble, interesting visually and it feels inviting. Be careful with the chairs, they have a tendancy to tip over backwards. No seriously 3 of them fell while we were there, 1 with a gentleman in it, and I don't think it had to do with the alcohol. Speaking of alcohol, they did not skimp! My mimosa was continually filled and I had to slow myself since I was eventually driving home, LOL. And the list of drink options in addition to the 6 or so that come with the brunch is pretty extensive. The food was also good. Started with a pastry that I think was a beignet, and it was excellent. A good caesar salad and I ordered the burger which had bacon and sauteed onions which was good and very filing. The burger came with shoestring truffle parmesan fries which were perhaps the best part of the meal! Now the entertainment, which I'm sure is the main reason to come to brunch here. Both of Melony Munro and Angelica Maria were highly entertaining. The show is very adult in nature, from the outfits worn to the language used. It is always light hearted and often humorous. Provocative to say the least. You are encouraged to bring singles and tip generously and you can purchase singles before the show. My only complaints are to do with the set-up of the venue. Rather than any sort of stage, the restaurant is an aisle with tables and booths on both sides, with a bar taking up half of one wall. The main walkway between the tables is where the show happens but half the people will have their backs to it. There is a mirror along the wall, but it is too short to see the show from. And with no elevation the performer is often hidden by people sitting next to or across from you. They do interact with the audience often and there are little games and patter between numbers to keep your attention. Everybody there was fully engaged and enthusiastic which kept it fun. This review is for their weekend drag brunch. We attended their drag brunch this past Saturday, and had a mother-lovin' BALL!!! Kit Kat is not a big location, so I was curious how it would go, but it was perfect. There were a group of seven of us, and we were seated in the back area. At first I was worried we would miss a lot of the show, but they had a huge screen, so you don't miss any of the front performance, AND the performers did a great job of not ignoring us in the back too! We were able to change our big bills for singles before the show for tips. First course were little donut balls, and they were super tasty. Next Caesar Salad, also delicious. For my entrée I chose the breakfast platter. I am super picky when it comes to grits, but they did a great job with them being well seasoned, creamy, and cheesy. Eggs were perfectly over medium (so many places mess this part up). Sausage and the house jam were my favorite. The performances were AWESOME! There were two performers, but they did a great job cycling through different looks. I also loved that when they performed they didn't just do one song at a time. For instance, when one came out as Lady Gaga, she performed a few Lady Gaga songs, not just one. The queens were GORGEOUS, the outfits were amazing, the show was IMMACULATE. It was my daughter's first drag brunch, and she had a blast. She even got a lap dance from the male stripper. My mimosa glass was NEVER empty the entire time. I also tried an espresso martini flight, which had a peanut butter, a mocha, and a regular espresso martini. All 3 were good, but my favorite was the regular espresso martini. The performance went about two hours, with the option to stay & partake afterwards with the performers. I don't know about parking because I knew I was getting tipsy, so I did ride share. My husband and I just had our third child in May and considering the last child we had was almost ten years ago, we're well...not rusty per se, but for lack of a better description-too old for this sh**! Jk. But we were used to getting a full nights sleep, so adjusting to life with a newborn again, has been a lot. As all parents with a newborn know, it gets to the point where if you and your spouse don't get out and do something other than deal with spit up and diapers, you're going to crack, so naturally my hubby and I decided the perfect family activity would be a drag brunch of course! Nothing says "baby" like boobies and champagne! All jokes aside, the drag brunch at Kit Kat was exactly what we needed and not only was baby welcomed, she was completely embraced, even becoming part of the show! I love how welcomed we were made to feel. Never once were we treated like assholes for bringing an infant, we were accommodated and met with only smiling faces and helpful hands. We were seated in the front, best seats in the house if you ask me, where two full glasses of champagne already awaited us. There is also a carafe of orange juice to mix into your champagne for the bottomless mimosas they offer here. Within a minute, we were greeted by our server who took our drink order (there are many fun cocktails to choose from in addition to the mimosas) and brought us our first course, which was a delightful little pastry. I noticed some people left a review saying the seating here was too crowded and too loud and I just want to say, yes, the reality is that this is a very tight space and it is absolutely crowded, BUT I was there with a freaking newborn and I didn't find it to be a discouraging factor. It's a drag brunch, not a poetry reading, I mean come on! I've been to multiple drag brunches and one thing they all have in common is that they're high energy, a tad raunchy and crowded! If you go to a drag brunch and there isn't a ton of shouting and sass and people everywhere, then you're either not at a drag brunch or you're at a very boring, unsuccessful one. That being said, if you have a problem with sharing space and/or crowds, this probably isn't the place for you, because this is an exciting, lively, fun, engaging and tightly packed event. Expect to be surrounded by people, including people you don't know, but think of it as an opportunity to make new friends! It's a party atmosphere, so if you're not down to party, the library might be a better option for you, just sayin‍. A QR code (I don't love this, but this is how things are done these days and I get it, it saves a lot of money and time) is your menu, so you scan the code and boom, menu appears. I had so much trouble deciding what to get! I was torn between the skirt steak and eggs, the Avocado Toast, the chicken and waffles and the BLTA. Everything looked so delicious! In the end I decided on the BLTA-a bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado sandwich and my hubby had the chicken and waffles. I tried a few bites of his and OMG the chicken is juicy, moist, not too greasy and PERFECTLY crispy and crunchy! Paired with thick slices of Belgian waffles and real maple syrup, this dish is to die for! My sandwich was excellent as well, with thick slices of candid bacon, leafy arugula, juicy tomato, bright green slivers of avocado, and a creamy, tangy lemon aïoli and a fried egg all nestled neatly between two pieces of soft sourdough bread. The food was so good that I kept closing my eyes and making sounds that definitely made our bachelorette neighbors to the left uncomfortable (I think these are the same ladies that complained about how crowded it was, I see you ladies) My only complaint about the food, is I wish there had been more of it, lol. Portions were great, just the right amount. The show was an absolute blast! Squares beware, the ladies do get down to almost nothing, if you're an insecure woman or have an issue with nudity, then this might be too much for you, but for everyone else, come have a blast! The star of the show is absolutely stunning, I'm talking human perfection, 100% flawless and her costumes are so much sparkle my baby was absolutely transfixed by her sparkly costumes. Speaking of baby, we loved how they announced her presence "there's a baby in the house ya'll! Everyone say hi to the baby!" Audience engagement was a huge part of the show and they nailed it. Never once felt uncomfortable or embarrassed about being the only couple in the place with a child, a baby nonetheless! They were so accommodating and friendly! Overall this was a super fun experience and the food was excellent. Service is efficient and professional, as well as friendly without being distracting or overly personal. I would 100% recommend this as a unique way to spend a Sunday! Especially good for Bachelorette parties, Birthdays, or even just a first date post the birth of a baby! Overpriced and Underwhelming "VIP" Experience I rarely write reviews, but after our experience at the KitKat Club, I felt compelled to share. We attended the Taylor Swift: Life of a Showgirl event and purchased the VIP package for $71 each through Eventbrite. Unfortunately, there was nothing remotely "VIP" about it. While I understand this was the club's reopening and a drag dinner, the experience was clearly overhyped and poorly executed. Arrival and Service Upon being seated, the manager immediately approached us, insisting that each guest have $20 in singles ready to tip. This felt uncomfortable and unnecessary, especially since no other tables were approached in this way. Our group came fully prepared to tip the performer and found it insulting that the assumption was made that we wouldn't. Thankfully, Kinley, the performer, was as talented and engaging as ever and truly the night's highlight. Food and Drinks The "VIP" menu included a small salad and a choice of smash burger, fried chicken, or butternut squash ravioli. There was nothing distinctive or elevated about the meal, and it certainly didn't justify a VIP label. The package included two nice martinis, though the service was slow. It was also disappointing to see the bartender repeatedly touching his hair, which kept falling into his face--unprofessional and unhygienic. Entertainment For what was marketed as a Taylor Swift-themed show, there was almost nothing Taylor Swift about it. Over two hours, just one performer (Kinley) came out three times for two songs each. She had reportedly been performing since 10 a.m., and she understandably seemed exhausted by the time of our show. Overall Experience Although gratuity was not included in the $71 ticket price, our dinner bill appropriately added 20% gratuity and tax, which we were happy to pay. However, we were then presented with an additional request for another service tip on top of the 20%, which felt excessive given the overall experience. The food was average, the entertainment minimal, and the overall value extremely poor. Several members of our group had attended KitKat Club drag brunches in the past and said this event didn't compare. It was a boring, overpriced, poorly organized evening where we felt less valued as guests. read more

Went for my cousins 21st birthday for brunch and for the price ($70 a person) the food could've been better. The smash burger was really dry and the bun was crispy, not sure why they skimped on the sauce. The Bloody Mary martinis was good at first but towards the end it just tasted like tomato juice and no vodka was added. The show was good but more upbeat music should've been played. Based on this experience, a more accurate title would be "Midday breakfast with one drag" They charge one flat fee which includes bottomless mimosas, Bellinis, bloody Mary's, and a few other drinks. You start brunch by sharing cinnamon toast bread, that was decent. Second course is a salad. For your main meal you have several breakfast options to choose from and one or two Lunch options (6-8 total options). Overall, the options and variety were good. Once I did get my food, it was luke warm and just okay tasting. The portion size was good and I wasn't coming here with the expectation of excellent food. Our brunch time was 1:15 but we were served last at 2:30. I really wish I had eaten lunch beforehand. One piece of bread and a side salad isn't going to hold you over, but it's better than nothing. The lounge is pretty small. Every table was full for our 1:15 seating time. There's a front And back part of the lounge. We were seated in the back and it felt like the shit seats. You don't see anything that's going On 60-70% of the time. They only have one drag performer who splits their time between the front and the back. Why not have Two performers for both areas so no one feels like they have bad seats? This was the part I was most disappointed in. It was okay, I do feel like I was mislead and ripped off totally. I paid for the 8pm show, the eventbrite says it last two hours for the show. I get there around 8:15, there wasn't a show until about 9:15.. and I only seen ONE show. Mind you, the tickets were $71.15 per person. It was two of us so it came out to $143, I also was very upset that they charged a $32 gratuity as well, then my bill came out to about $75... I only ordered calamari. Also, they charged me $16 in "taxes" but I also paid taxes when paying for the tickets... so what taxes are we talking about? Not really the best in my opinion, food and drinks were average. I just moved to Chicago and came in for the Burger and Martini Wednesday special, not knowing it was also drag queen bingo night. It was still slow and quiet when I came in (6 ish) and the bartender and other staff were so nice and welcoming. I ended up staying until bingo ended around 9:30, not only because it was fun playing bingo but because the staff was so incredible. They really made me feel welcome. We went with friends to celebrate recently getting married. We started the morning with us not being greeted for 20 minutes or so. We didn't get any sort of cocktail until almost an hour in and they were either never run in or forgotten. We then finally ordered food and when it came out one of the meals was forgotten. When it finally came out the eggs were cold, hash browns were fried to nothing, and the toast was bad. Like how do you mess up toast. The performance itself was AMAZING!!!! All of the girls were wonderful, even with a few timing errors. I would go back just for the girls and not eat. The service is what the struggle was. I operate a restaurant myself and it was shared that this was their first day in a new location. I totally understand that. I think what the most disappointing part was that management came over to our table and knew our service wasn't good and did absolutely nothing for service recovery. Finally when the show concluded an announcement was made that they had another show and we were kindly asked to leave, no problem. However, we were asked several times by managers to leave when we hadn't even received our bill. Finally, when the bill came we were charged double. So all that to be said the performance was great but the management team and service needs MUCH needed help. Fun spot to come for brunch and a show! I came to the Kit Kat Lounge this past Sunday for a get together/celebration with some friends, one of whom is recently engaged! On Sunday, Kit Kat has a 'Divalicious' Brunch, with Diva Madame X. We went to the 11am brunch/show, which was packed! Madame X had an incredible wardrobe and performed a bunch of Brittney songs to celebrate the ending of her conservatorship. It was seriously a ton of fun, great energy, and everyone was there to have a good time! Kit Kat has a $30 bottomless mimosa/bloody mary package, which seems to be on the higher end for bottomless brunch in the city. The bloody mary's are served in a martini glass, which is fun in theory, but it gets lukewarm about half way through. The mimosa was cold and bubbly though! Brunch prices were definitely up there as well. $19 for avocado toast, which seems a little crazy to me! I went with the chicken quesadilla which was pretty average. It filled me up and honestly, was there more for the show and drinks then the food anyways! I would definitely come back to a show or recommend it for a bachelorette party! Be warned, the music is extremely loud. We ended up going to a bar down the street after because it is pretty difficult to have a conversation with the music blasting.
