I called her, assured her I was very ill, and she got very negative, saying because it wasn't 24 hours I owed her not only the price of the appointment, but her tip- totaling to $225- I told her I was extremely ill ( which I was- five days of being in bed) and she told me she was " done with me" and hung up. I tried to call her back, left a message, and never received a call back. Customers are everything. Also, if that is her policy, she legally needs it posted so no other loyal clients have any questions. Had she called me back, I was loyal enough to not only pay for the missed appointment ( but have given her the usual tip) I understand fully how challenging it is to run a salon with her talent as a solo act. I actually referred several people to her.. yet she chose the low ground. i am very disappointed, as in this businesses climate, I would expect her to be able to understand how having someone so ill would not be someone she wanted in her shop at that time. I have been seeing Angela for my cuts and coloring ever since. I went to her for coloring right after summer started. I haven't had any color in my hair since 2001. I absolutely love it. I love the results of the cut, the coloring, the experience when in session. Angela understands the complexity of hair, people, personalities, and the human condition. She also loves my dog Hachi which is great :) The ambience and energy of the space is welcoming and inviting, yet intimate and personal.
