I was looking for an event type of thing to take my boyfriend to for his birthday and came across…read morethe Disney Drag Show Brunch on Eventbrite. What a fun time! The negative I have is the lack of details for the show. Perhaps I wasn't looking on the website thoroughly but there wasn't anything about show start time, brunch, etc. As it was our first time, it would've been helpful (minor negative). Also, I wasn't aware of the 18% they tack onto the bill for the brunch, but it is on their website, so a heads up. The locations itself is on the 2nd floor above the Cheese Superette and Lüstern. We weren't sure where exactly the entrance was as it can be easy to miss, but the small overhang sign for it can be see. What's more easily identifiable is the pride flag over it. We got there fairly early so killed time before. Security out front checks IDs then let's you in. And it's a short walk up a flight of stairs to get to the Precinct. Pretty decent sized space with several bar areas. The brunch spot was separate from the rest of the space with a stage in front of the video screens. The host scanned our tickets and then took us to our table which I reserved the a hightop for 2. All the tables were set for the brunch service and show. Anthony our server and who I think was also bartending took our order explaining to us that the show was sold out and that ordering early is suggested before it gets busy. We took a look at the menu and decided on the Peach Bourbon French Toast and Coco's Chilaquilles with chicken along with some much needed coffee. Anthony as well as the rest of the staff were fantastic, checking up on us and refilling our coffees and water, seeing if we needed anything else. Food was delicious, Chilaquilles were delicious, lots of chicken, chips crispy under the sauce, perfect over easy eggs alongside my side of bacon which was also cooked perfeclty. The Peach Bourbon French Toast was good as well. Large peach slices that delicous bourbon sauce over lightly fried french toast. The tots was super crispy too. Delicious. Now onto the show. It was fantastic, all the performers were exceptional, I loved how they covered every part of the brunch space really utilizing it as their performance area. At the beginning and in the middle they come around if you need change for $1's which is super helpful if you hadn't brought smaller bills for tipping the performers. Outfits were on point, the host was fantastic, singing their song, interacting with the crowd and also keeping the show moving along. They did invite birthdays to come up and lip sync for their life...well for a complimentary shot. What's not to love with Disney and drag? At the end you could go up to the performers to interact and take pictures...I'm terrible with names but they were so great. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely come again!

You enter through a door and go up a flight of steps to the main entrance. It's a pretty big layout with multiple bars and then a side area for sitting or smoking as there's windows that open up to the outside. I did not drink or eat anything here. I was a little bit hesitant to go because it's a gay bar with mostly males and I didn't want to get the, "What is she doing here?" look, but nobody gave a eff. Everyone was pretty much in their own world and mainly socializing and catching up with each other. In the main room there were go-go dancers and I got to meet Greg since my friend is friend's with Greg's friend and he was my favorite dancer! Aside from that, I surprisingly had the best time!I was planning on leaving 45 minutes after I got there because I was tired and I thought it would be awkward, but I ended up staying until 1 a.m. straight dancing my ass off because the music was that good! I took a break around 12:45 am because it was getting hot in there and when I went back to the dance floor the music got super loud and more crowded and I became super aware and overstimulated and called it a night. If you're looking for a fun time with friends Precinct is a vibe and the people that work there and just overall patrons are friendly and in a good mood. I witnessed no drama when I was there!

It's also a LBGTQ+ friendly leather bar and happens to be one of the favorite spots of beloved Yelp SFV AMB Quintin. I stopped here on a whim with some friends on our way home from a night out. We didn't want the fun to end, so one last night cap was in order. Parking is a bit difficult, but we managed to snag a spot. There is a big bar in the center if the room and a smaller bar out on the patio. There are also two pool tables and a stage for various events. My friends ordered beer and I kept it simple with a vodka soda. They don't serve food but the bartender said outside eats are welcomed. The DJ was bouncing and the staff & patrons were friendly and welcoming. I like the vibe here and would come back. They host nightly events such as: RuPaul's Drag Race Viewing Party on Fridays. $5 Domestic drafts on Sundays, drink specials and free pool on Mondays, $6 Wells on Wednesday and various contests monthly. Check the website for details. *Cash only. ATM on premises.

Parking situation is a bit of a hassle. Not their fault as it's in a residential area so parking can be a challenge. It was just after 7 when we arrived and the crowd was completely different from the last visit. More mellow as it was still early. Makes it easier to get a drink at the bar. Pool table was already utilized which seemed to always be the case. There were a couple of people inside along the bar area but majority was on the outdoor patio. It was somewhat busy but nothing compared to how this place can be. Especially when there's an event. Drinks are always a good price. We got a pitcher of beer which had a cooling pack inside. The question of the night was, will this thing take up the amount of glasses we could get out of the pitcher...lol... I've been a good amount of time but honestly don't know if they have a dance floor or not. We always spend time on the patio. There's 2 restroom, one with the toilet which the line can get crazy. The other is a communal one where it tends to be more easily accessible. It's cash only for drinks. Service has always been good and the crowds always fun.

Felt as though I were in México, not in Distrito Federal but in a less cosmopolitan city where in the old days Straights and Gays kind of mixed together although in some bigger venues there were areas where Gays had their own corner. Redz Bar is too small for separation, and it makes it hard to determine who is who. I was there on a busy Saturday around 9pm. All the tables were taken by party goers. I stole one of the few bar stools still left. Beer & wine bar: Ordered a Michelada that is bloody mary mix from a bottle, lemon juice, worchester sauce?, Modelo Mexican beer. The lip of the huge mug is lined with a salty, not very piquant chile powder like El Tajín. It's a refreshing, savory, Umami bomb just perfect on a hot day or night. My first Michelada ever. So I look around and it seems like a regular neighborhood Latino bar. If there are any Gays they were sprinkled around and not particularly & obviously visible. The friendly bartendress offered a free plate of antojitos / snacks which consisted of a small Tamal de Puerco con Salsa de Chile Colorado, and a bowl of Bírria soup in consommé w/ a small piece of goat. To me this Bírria tasted closer to a Pozole. Very hospitable gesture by Redz to give out such a tasty mini-meal. Redz caters to an East Los Angeles clientele. It's a liitle piece of México. Music is loud with Norteño & Son Afro-Mexican music from Veracruz tonight. I felt comfortable, and a nice Latina lady sitting next to me talked in her limited English and I in limited Spanish. Nice way to experience the East Los scene. 4 stars.

I love it--it's one of the few places that hasn't been gentrified! It has a very CDMX vibe.read more

Summary of Guest Experience:…read more The overall sentiment reflects a significant disconnect between the pricing model and the physical environment of the venue. The primary grievances center on aggressive markup rates and a chaotic atmosphere that compromised guest safety and comfort. Key Areas of Concern: 1) Aggressive Pricing & Value Gap: The most notable issue is the price-to-product ratio. Charging over $40 for a round consisting of two tequila shots, a Twisted Tea, and a beer (Victoria) represents a markup of approximately 300% compared to retail market value. For many patrons, this premium does not align with the dive-bar setting. 2) Atmosphere & Climate Control: The interior environment was described as physically uncomfortable. High temperatures combined with a "cluttered" and "too dark" layout suggest inadequate HVAC performance and poor spatial management. 3) Capacity & Safety: The venue felt "too crowded," which is particularly concerning when paired with reports of staff (bouncers) engaging in or escalating arguments rather than de-escalating them. This creates a volatile environment rather than a controlled, social one. **Note**: While a 3x markup is standard for the hospitality industry to cover overhead (rent, labor, insurance), the lack of "atmosphere" or "amenities" (like AC or space) makes this markup feel predatory rather than professional. Conclusion: For a bar located in the competitive Downtown LA landscape, the current operating model appears to prioritize high-margin turnover at the expense of patron retention and safety. The combination of high heat, excessive crowding, and aggressive security interaction suggests a high-risk environment for the average customer.

I understand ID policies. I had lost my ID and only had photos of my passport and identification, so I asked politely if there was any way I could come in. I also mentioned I wasn't drinking just there for a friends birthday. What followed was honestly one of the most uncomfortable interactions I've ever had at a business. Instead of giving a simple yes or no, the security guard began loudly berating me for several minutes in front of a full line of people. He repeatedly said things like "what kind of person doesn't bring their ID" over and over again, questioned my intelligence, and spoke about me to my friend instead of addressing me directly. I stayed calm and kept saying it's completely fine if the answer is no - I just needed an answer. But he continued escalating, repeating himself, and making the situation more and more uncomfortable. At one point, people in line were visibly confused and reacting to what was happening. I ended up leaving crying, shaken and upset, which is not something I've ever experienced from simply asking a question at the door of a bar. I have never been so confused and shaken up this is such concerning behavior. Again, I fully respect policies. A simple "no, sorry" would have been completely fine. This review is only about the way the situation was handled. It felt unnecessarily aggressive and honestly unstable, and it created a very uncomfortable environment not just for me, but for everyone standing there. I hope management is aware of how their staff is representing the business, because this kind of interaction leaves a lasting impression.
