The title of this review should be what happened to Kirks Pizza? I ordered a pizza at 5:58 PM aTo be delivered, at 7:10.I started calling to find out what's going on? No answer on the phone after multiple phone calls I decided OK it's not coming. At 7:30 the Pizza showed up cold. I asked the delivery driver what's going he said we're getting killed because of this game he apologized but this just doesn't make any sense. This is the second time I've ordered since the new ownership. It will absolutely be the last time that I order. The pizza quality is not what it used to be. There was hardly any cheese on the pizza and the crust is like cardboard. The new owners have a lot to learn about how to run a restaurant. I feel like I just flushed $20 down the toilet. read more

Used to love Kirk's but now with the new owners we are going to respectfully pass. Last 2 times we ordered extra cheese on our pie and barely any cheese to be found. Dropped by today praying things would get better They didn't. Same cheesy-less pizza ordered a Caesar salad and guess what. No dressing! To top it off the 10 coupons for a free pizza have now become 15 coupons. Not sure what the new owners are thinking but we will pass moving forward. read more

Have visited several times in the past 2 months and impressed with the selection available on the menu, the friendly service and the reasonable prices. Have to admit I'm a chili lover and really impressed with their chili, which is a rather new item.... and as the weather gets colder, my quantity of chili consumed will increase accordingly. I have grown up in this area and have seen first hand the transition that local businesses have had over the years. But tonight was a new low for an upper township staple. When the price of a Special (2 slices and a soda) went up to over $5 from our beloved $2.50, it was a sign of the times and something we had to just get used to. Fine. We moved on to the next best thing, the Chicken Finger Special... which, as of tonight, is the furthest from its title. Like many other locals, nothing brought me more joy than a Kirk's after a long practice, a day at the beach, or to meet up with friends and site see. We have come so far from this enjoyment that it pains me to write this, but feel it's my responsibility of a proud resident. Below you will see my Chicken Finger Special. Not the large, crispy chicken strips laid over a heap of French fries for under $10. But a sad, soggy, desolate presentation of weak tenders and fries that were an afterthought. As my friend said "it looks like your wife and kids ate it and saved you the leftovers". A sad reality of where our beloved Kirk's, our childhood, our go-to, and our favorite stop is at. There's no need to wait 30 minutes for these kinds of pizza. Dough is okay but doesn't taste as good vita bellas or giuseppi's. The waiting area is outside with bunch of tables so if it's cold you might have to wait in the car. Too pricey for the products. read more

The staff is very friendly, and the inside is more than suitable for a quick bite on the run. Being a customer since the 80s, I can tell the difference between the new steak sandwiches and the old ones. I have to admit the new steak sandwiches are nothing to be excited about. They are wrapped so tightly in folds and paper that whatever juices were in the meat are sucked up by the bread, making the meat dry. I was very disappointed and most likely will not order a steak sandwich from here again. What was also puzzling was that I ordered at the shop so that our food would be hot after a short ride home. To my surprise, after finally getting our food and traveling less than 3 minutes home, all my food was cold. It almost seems like it was prepared and sitting there until someone decided, Oh, it's time to get this order out to the counter. Haven't been here in a few years. Still a very good cheesesteak and breaded wings. Cheesesteak had a real nice taste to it. It was chopped well with fried onions incorporated. Good amount of cheese was mixed in well and a very good roll. Wings were as I remembered. I like breaded wings and these were good. Will be heading back sooner. read more

I won't go into all the details of the mistakes places make, because KIRK'S DOES IT RIGHT! Call ahead ordering was super easy. Pick up at the side window was a breeze. My cheesesteak with American cheese and fried onions was made perfectly. Just the right amount of cheese and onions, and a ton of steak. I was only going to eat 1/2 , but it was so good I couldn't stop myself from finishing it . This was my first visit to Kirk's and I went specifically for the cheesesteak. Have gone to Kirk's on and off for about 30 years. Lately I've tried almost every pizza/sandwich shop between Marmora and Cape May. Yesterday I ordered pizza and wings and was truly impressed. The pizza was better than most and the wings were great and their price was much less than most other shops. Add to this the fact that I ordered delivery and was told 45 minutes. (A June weekend). My order was at my front door in 20 minutes. From the pleasant woman who took my order to the cheerful driver everything was excellent. read more

Based on all the reviews, I ordered a cheesesteak instead of pizza. Take it from all of us, if you've never been here. I saw the pizza, and I believe every word of how it tastes from the other reviewers without even taking a bite. But I ate the cheesesteak, and it's quite good. It's not quite Philly style, in the sense that the cheese ends up all melted through the steak instead of on top of it, so be prepared for goo in every bite. Tasty goo, though. The portion is excellent for the price. The hoagie roll is not quite up to 5 star cheesesteak standard, but maybe it just needed a little love on the griddle to get warmed up a bit. (It was just too soft and bready, overwhelming the rest of the plentiful ingredients a bit.) I doubt you'll find a better cheesesteak anywhere in the area, or maybe even on the Shore. For being 50 miles outside Philly, this was all I could ask for. read more

we stopped there and got pizza last night , owner was dealing with some obviously intoxicated and extremely ignorant customers but was still able to take care of us in a fast and efficient way. was over the moon apologetic about the environment from the ignorance of other customers. pizza was hot, nice crispy crust and a sweet sauce. will be going there again. read more

Came here for lunch because my co-worker was craving pizza. They have a great lunch special 2 slices and a media soft drink for 4.50. Unfortunately the pizza isn't worth 50 cents. I like this place. I don't order from here a lot but when I do I usually get the chicken tenders and french fries. Over the years the price has gone up a good amount and I actually just had it tonight, I honestly had a half hand full of fries. No where near what the usually have in the special.
