Unexpected cancellations, poor communication on costs and billing, a seemingly never ending change up in office and hygienist staff. The office staff never really seems to know what is going on. You would think after multiple years that they would know us really well, but on multiple visits we have had to fill out the same health history paperwork like we had never been there before. Worst of all, it's like walking into a used car dealership......the never ending pressure to buy procedures that we felt were unnecessary seemed VERY salesy. We had to decline things almost every time we went in for a cleaning (they did the hard sell on invisalign EVERY SINGLE TIME). You almost feel like you are being shamed when you decline the procedures. We recently switched to a new dentist so my wife has been trying to get our dental records from Molldrem.....3 emails and a phone call with no luck, so the new dentist offered to attempt to get the records on our behalf. After 3 tries, we finally got a response, which was what?......a request to pay them $60 to release the records. Just one last bit of money to squeeze out of us before we go I guess. It's so ridiculous to charge for OUR records, but I guess it's a small price to pay to not have to go in there again. I would avoid Molldrem at all costs, they care more about money than teeth.

His main hygienist is extremely knowledgeable and has always gone the extra mile for me - Examples being, getting me in last minute for emergency care many times, listening and genuinely caring about my feelings of anxiety while never being judgmental, and even driving over 30 miles once after hours to get a prescription to me during a dental emergency last year. The front desk staff was helpful when I explained my insurance doesn't mail cards for us to use at appointments, & they were able to get my benefit info any way. Graham took care of my annual exam, & Kelly took on my cleaning. Both were super professional & better yet, friendly! It was one of the most entertaining dental appointments that I have had because Kelly kept the conversation going & we chattered about high school & college reunions. If you're the type of person who hates conversing with your health care providers, then this isn't the office for you, but if you enjoy a more personal experience & forming a trusting relationship with them (& being treated like a person, not a patient), then don't pass up the Bruce Merry office! I feel they tried to trick me into agreeing to a $937 procedure. I went in for the new patient special - $100 for a cleaning and inspection. They recommended I get a nightguard to prevent my teeth wearing (for $937!). The secretary I spoke with on the way out explained the nightguard, then handed me a piece of paper saying (I'm paraphrasing) "I agree to have this procedure performed at a later date and pay all costs." She told me "please sign at the bottom" agreeing that I EXPLAINED it to you, then let's talk about your next appointment." I said "I'm not comfortable signing because I don't want to go ahead with the procedure." She said "you're just signing agreeing I EXPLAINED it to you, not that you agree to pay and have it done." I said " that's not what the contract says." What if I believed her and signed, chose not to have the procedure done, and then noticed months later a $937 charge on my card? Could I later go back and say "she told me I was just signing agreeing that she EXPLAINED it to me, NOT to pay for the procedure?" They'd say "well, you signed it, so you're screwed." Luckily this didn't happen because I didn't sign, but I had another business scam me like this (Anytime Fitness) and they denied telling me that. The lesson is ALWAYS read what you sign and never trust what they tell you verbally. I can't prove this was the intent but it makes me VERY suspicious. No matter how great their service, this completely ruins it for me.

They will call the lab but according to Isabelle the soonest I can get the guard is Jan 10. Two month after this whole thing started. Why didn't they find this out after I called at the end of week three. When were they going to let me know? The dentist called tonight at 6:00 to let me know they couldn't find my scans. I wonder if I had not continued to call would they even know the scans had not been sent to or received by the lab, Who dropped the ball here? Update One.This is priceless. ONE of my concerns is they do not respond or call back. I posted this yesterday and now they post a reply here (on-line instead of calling me) for me to call them (I called yesterday and again today). My experiences with Dentist of Eden Prairie should be a word if caution to others. First I was charged for a cleaning that I did not have. If I had not checked the insurance form that came to me I would not have known. I had to let the insurance company know and ask for correction from Dentists of Eden Prairie. I do not know if the insurance company was reimbursed. Their explanation was a change in software. Months later on a Friday I needed a root canal and the result was terrible. I had had other root canals when I lived in Missouri - fairly easy procedure. Not with DEP. I bruised and a hard knot formed from my eye socket to my jaw. I called three times to their emergency service before I got a call back. It was a weekend was the explanation. The emergency service said the dentist would contact me within 2 hours or I should call the service again. Three call and I finally got a response. I was put on antibiotics for 10 days. It took nearly a month for the knot to completely dissipate. Then, in November I needed a new night guard. I was told it would take two to three weeks. I paid in full the day they did the scan. That was November 10. It is now December 26 and I still don't have the night guard.When I called after three weeks I was told they would call when it was in. I finally called back today and asked for the dentist to call me. Guess what - no call back. Be warned!
