Without question, this is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. For £25 per night, I had a single (!) room that shared bathroom and toilet facilities; but there was a sink and coffee/tea making facilities in the room.
The room was lovingly prepared with lots of pillows and expensive (for a hostel) bedding, and I felt welcomed by a piece of candy on the pillar.
I didn't take part in activities as I was in Canterbury to work, but the hostel offers a different activity each night (BBQ's, pub nights...). The kitchen is fully stocked, shared and guests are welcome to cook for themselves. A lounge has lots of DVDs and books to use, a free Internet console, and free Wifi access is given for those who have their own laptop.
A lovely dining room / conservatory where breakfast is served, and a gorgeous garden with a pool table complete a really lovely place. The staff were attentive and friendly. Five stars! read more
