This is the second time I've stayed in a Premier Inn, and this was certainly the better of the two. Nestled between green rolling hills of sheep just outside of Dover with a view of the castle in the distance, this peaceful location was perfect. The price was right and the rooms were sparse, but very clean and comfortable. The big bathroom featured a shower that was in the 'good enough' range. There's no bells and whistles here, but as long as you want clean and easy (or cheap and cheerful as they say in the UK), then this is your location. There's a very good Beefeater right next door and we ended up eating there 3 times just because it was an easy option. Just be sure to book a table with the front desk so that you get a table for breakfast or dinner. Also, keep in mind that this location is just down the road from a wedding barn, which means that on the weekends, you're going to see a ton of boozed up wedding parties in ridiculous evening wear wandering around. This was a disadvantage particularly at 3am when we were trying to sleep and they were laughing in the otherwise sweet little courtyard outside. But over all, we couldn't complain and we'll certainly go back if we ever head back to Dover. read more
