This YHA is in a lovely old building about 15 minutes walk from the centre of town.
Facilities were adequate, the showers I used were individual, spacious, clean and, vitally, not complicated to use (there's nothing worse than trying to decipher the correct combination of switches/knobs/buttons required for steady hot water before breakfast). The kitchen was a little small, I visited in the off-season and so it wasn't really a problem but I can easily imagine squeezing past people would become annoying as it got busy.
The included breakfast was great: bread rolls, croissants (plain and chocolate), cold meats and cheese, yoghurt, cereals, fruit and juice are all provided, which nearly compensates for the relatively steep price for a bed.
My major complaint is that the office and dormitories are all locked 10am-5pm with access only to the downstairs kitchen, so if you wanted to hang around or come back for something you forgot in your room, you're basically screwed. Overall though it was a clean and comfortable place for pilgrims to rest their weary feet. read more
