I looked through more photographers' portfolios than I'd like to admit and couldn't be happier with our decision to go with Wandering Heart. They made us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera, gave great direction while also letting us be ourselves and not look over posed. Getting married can be stressful from planning to the hustle and bustle of the actual day. This husband wife duo are organized and caring individuals making the photography aspect a breeze.

I've lived most of my life enraptured by stories of all shapes and sizes, with a camera in hand. In 2009, after acquiring a degree and experience in photojournalism and fine art photography from Indiana University, I launched Wandering Heart Photography, formally announcing to the world my intent to photograph the glory of love, the beauty of living, and the power of story. Eight years later the same intent is true. It's a sacred honor to enable my clients to relive their wedding stories, to remember their children and growing families, and to see the precious faces that make life worth living with beautiful and timeless photographs.

Working with Chad Swinford Photography was an absolute win for me as a marketing agency owner…read more I hired him to handle brand photography and b-roll for Limitless Woodworking during a tight launch window. Even with a compressed timeline, he took the time to understand the heart behind the brand and what we were trying to communicate. He understood the assignment and delivered. From the first conversation through post-production, the experience felt intentional and white-glove. I'm very type-A and strategic by nature, and Chad balanced that beautifully with his creative perspective. He never made the process feel rushed or stressful, and my clients genuinely enjoyed working with him. It's rare to find someone who cares equally about the final product and the client experience. Chad does both exceptionally well. He captured the images and behind-the-scenes woodshop footage we needed to tell their story and connect with their audience. Getting clients comfortable on camera is not always easy, but he created an environment that made it feel natural and effortless. If you are looking for a photographer or videographer who combines professionalism, creativity, and care, I highly recommend Chad Swinford Photography.

We told him that we wanted a photographer who more or less stayed behind the scenes and let things go with the flow, rather than one who was distracting with too many planned shots. He did exactly that on our wedding day! He was funny and calmed our nerves before the ceremony. Turns out that he also moonlighted at our reception venue and knew all the staff! The price is on the high side, but he has a lot of experience in the biz. The shots that we got back were beautiful. Everyone kept on commenting on what great photos they were!
