Even with a compressed timeline, he took the time to understand the heart behind the brand and what we were trying to communicate. He understood the assignment and delivered. From the first conversation through post-production, the experience felt intentional and white-glove. I'm very type-A and strategic by nature, and Chad balanced that beautifully with his creative perspective. He never made the process feel rushed or stressful, and my clients genuinely enjoyed working with him. It's rare to find someone who cares equally about the final product and the client experience. Chad does both exceptionally well. He captured the images and behind-the-scenes woodshop footage we needed to tell their story and connect with their audience. Getting clients comfortable on camera is not always easy, but he created an environment that made it feel natural and effortless. If you are looking for a photographer or videographer who combines professionalism, creativity, and care, I highly recommend Chad Swinford Photography.

I looked through more photographers' portfolios than I'd like to admit and couldn't be happier with our decision to go with Wandering Heart. They were, friendly, professional, and listened to our needs and wants for our photos. They made us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera, gave great direction while also letting us be ourselves and not look over posed. Getting married can be stressful from planning to the hustle and bustle of the actual day. This husband wife duo are organized and caring individuals making the photography aspect a breeze.

I've lived most of my life enraptured by stories of all shapes and sizes, with a camera in hand. In 2009, after acquiring a degree and experience in photojournalism and fine art photography from Indiana University, I launched Wandering Heart Photography, formally announcing to the world my intent to photograph the glory of love, the beauty of living, and the power of story. Eight years later the same intent is true. It's a sacred honor to enable my clients to relive their wedding stories, to remember their children and growing families, and to see the precious faces that make life worth living with beautiful and timeless photographs.

So much so that my younger sister also had her pictures done by Sean as well! Sean was very easy to work with when initially setting up the logistics of the shoots. I knew more about where I didn't want to have my pictures done than actual suggestions of places, so I definitely leaned on him a lot to help me decide. He has so much experience in different locations and venues, so I fully trusted his input. We decided on the IMA for the fall and Broad Ripple for spring. The first session was shot solely by Sean. I brought a few outfits and my dad's 1950s MG (and my dad). Sean is so creative, and he has a multitude of ideas for shots by just looking around. We basically walked around to different areas, and I really didn't have to do anything. He coached me through all the poses and angles, which was awesome because I had no experience being in front of a camera. My dad loved all the pictures Sean took with his MG because he managed to make it look like I was driving through a field when I wasn't. The second session was with both Sean and Molly around Broad Ripple. It was a lot of fun being with both of them. Molly and Sean guided me around to the areas with the best back drop and took many unique shots. They both have so many ideas and know exactly how to optimize body position, facial expression, lighting, and surroundings to create a multitude of truly beautiful images. The finished product was incredible. They gave me a nicely-bound book of all the finished images, which my parents and I used to order prints. Every image was unique and beautiful, and there were so many to choose from. A lot of senior pictures look exactly the same, but Sean and Molly bring a lot of artistry into their photography. The end result is phenomenal, and I definitely plan to hire them for any future photography.

On top of all that, they were such great conversation and an absolute riot together! Although we had other photographers to meet, deep down, we knew they were the ones for us. We had two engagement shoots, one in the fall and one in the spring before the wedding. They suggested a few sessions so my wife and I could get comfortable in front of the camera. We were blown away by their work! My wife had never looked more beautiful in photos, and I didn't look half bad either! ;) We were so impressed with our engagement shots, we couldn't wait to see what they could come up with for our wedding. We asked Sean and Molly to come down a day early to shoot our rehearsal dinner. The venue was a dimly lit, speakeasy type lounge. Their experience shooting in low light paid off amazingly! The photos they took of our rehearsal captured each moment perfectly! We wanted the pictures to feel organic, and the love and joy in the room was perfectly preserved by the duo throughout the night. Their candid work is unmatched! We don't know how they made every little moment come to life, but they did, and we are so grateful! On the day of the wedding, Sean and Molly were the epitome of professionalism. Prior to the wedding, we had established a game plan for the day with them in order to ensure we would capture all the shots we wanted. They helped us stay on schedule without being pushy, and that helped the day go so much smoother! Their creativity, playfulness with light, and easy demeanor resulted in so many wonderfully captured moments, we couldn't be any happier! We wanted shots with our dog, Swag, check! The groomsmen walking around in silk kimonos, check! Me ugly crying at the first look, check! A special shot at one of my favorite campus landmarks, check! A signature Molin moment, check! (They took an epic shot of our wedding party in the auditorium seats that still has people wondering how it was pulled off!) Each shot was both tender and dramatic and exactly what we were looking for when we envisioned having photos of our day! Oh, and how can we not mention our reception photos?! Sean and Molly were all over the place capturing all the shenanigans going on through the night! From the father-daughter dance to our first dance as a couple, our friends and their dance battles to people smashing late night pizza delivery, nothing slipped past them throughout the night! My wife and I STILL go through these photos regularly, and we feel like we're right back in the mix of the celebration! It speaks to Sean and Molly's expertise and natural talent! To work with a husband and wife team means they are innately empathetic to what you want to accomplish on your day. You won't go wrong leaving the tremendous task of preserving your soon to be most cherished memories in their talented hands! We find ourselves lucky that our paths crossed with theirs in our search for wedding photographers. As we got to know Sean and Molly more, it only enriched and enlivened our experience. We are so happy they were there to capture and celebrate our big day, and we are even more grateful to call them friends. You won't be disappointed hiring this talented duo. We aren't, and we'll be sure to call on them anytime we want to capture the finest moments in our lives! Cheers!

When our destination…read morewedding was impacted by coronavirus we made the decision to get married in Indianapolis, alone, with our families watching over zoom and postpone our big wedding celebration for a year to April of 2021. One of the best decisions we made was finding Stacy and hiring her. We are SO grateful for her work, it made our makeshift elopement real and you will not believe how great the pics turned out. Stacy was recommended to us by a neighbor who knew she did wedding photography and I had not seen her work before but since we desperately wanted someone to photograph our wedding and she was willing to come, wear a mask and maintain a distance so we hired her. OH MY GOD WE ARE SO LUCKY. THESE PICTURES BELONG IN A MAGAZINE. I am not just saying this, she is so good. I have had pictures taken professionally before and it is so awkward, I normally feel so uncomfortable, hate the way I look, my poses, etc. The pictures she captured were flawless. Stacy was professional, prompt, helpful, and boy is she talented - just the best experience possible. It was beyond our expectations. People are still contacting me months after to tell me how great our photos look - like, friends of friends and beyond. People we don't even know are contacting me about these pictures. Hire Stacy! If you are looking at this and would like to talk to me, please ask Stacy for my contact information so I can answer any of your questions, I am happy to connect and give a glowing recommendation. Not only is she is incredibly kind, with a remarkable ability to put people at ease, but she also overdelivers with her images in every way. The way she captured our engagement session and a full weekend of wedding festivities blew us away and is something we'll cherish forever. Even our guests commented on how she really got in the action and captured the dance floor without impacting the vibe, and those are some of our favorite photographs from the night. My parents also could not stop raving about what a delight she was and how painless she made the process of many formal photos. It is true that you will spend more time on your wedding day with your photographer than anyone else - and there is not a better person to have by your side than Stacy.
