LUSH is one of those stores where they have a very specific audience... it's not for your Stepford wives or curated Yorkville Yoga moms. This is not for the subtle ... this is loud, proud, and fun. That being said, the service here is SUPER friendly that anyone walking in, can appreciate immediately. The store in Sherway is interesting, if you remove the actual products, it reminds me of the Canadian super popular brand Ordinary. Clean white subway tiles with strong black lines accenting the store with the nice warmth of wood tables ... they're a nice frame for the rainbow explosion in their soaps, bars, and everything else. Their products are ... VIVID. Like someone on Instagram who just jacked up the contrast to 200%. If Unicorns did exist, it would exclusively shop here for their skincare. I find it so fun to just look around. It feels like a candy store almost. As mentioned, service here is really sweet and nice. No judgement even if you look out of place (ahem ... me). The young ladies are all very knowledgeable and have a shared enthusiasm for what they love. The also listen really well to figure out what you could possible like. There's an immediate gushing while explaining any product. While talking to the staff, I realize that a lot of other places are so jaded... these people actually like their store! As for the products, its a really interesting spin... locally made in Toronto, the products are vegetarian friendly and do not test on animals. They believe in cruelty free. They also try to use as little preservatives and are 'fresh' with their face masks, creams, ... everything. They do sell everything from shampoo to foot cream. So head to toe... they've got you covered. I would say one of the other defining notes of LUSH is their scents... it's bold, strong, and cute. They do have some more 'mature' scents that are more nuanced with spices but a lot of their best sellers are fruity and sweet. With my white bathroom, I was really concerned of staining the grout or anything with the neon shades and so I did the vanilla thing... literally. I got the vanilla scented butterball bath bomb. Butterball bath bomb - I know.. of all the things to buy in LUSH, butterball is the most benign and vanilla looking thing in there. It's a large white round golf ball. No sparkles, no swirls, no neon colours... just a nice light vanilla scent. I'm not a bather necessarily but when it comes to relaxing, i could be persuaded to do this. This is not just for scents, but the actual bathbomb has cocoa butter in it. Just drop the thing in (if you have a smaller bath tub supposedly you can only use half) and watch it fizzle and dissolve. With my winter skin, i'm heading into lizard territory... so I was hoping this would help kick start my skin back into humanity. I would say this was really lovely to smell but did it change my skin noticeably? I would say perhaps but it's definitely would be hard to do unless you do this daily. I'm not a daily bather so maybe this isnt just for me BUT I do love the rounded vanilla scent. 3.5/5 I'm sure there are tons of other items here you can try to find the perfect unicorn for you... definitely a fun place and one that I would say is a good place even for a nice gift to brighten (literally) someone's day.

However, I decided to stop by the Eaton Centre's location on August 14th a little before noon, and quickly realized how unbearable it is to come here. While I continue to love the products (forever obsessed with Solace!), the blonde woman who spoke to me was incredibly obnoxious, pushy, and made the entire experience uncomfortable. It was very apparent to me that she has no genuine interest in the products she is selling, and is more concerned with making sure that I just by SOMETHING rather than nothing. I know this to be true, because I made a comment about their body butters not being that great early on in my visit, to which she agreed. After recognizing that her goal was to coerce me with malicious sales tactics into buying something I did not need, I decided to play a game and revisit the body butters by saying how much I loved one of them. She then went on and on for over ten minutes about how live changing they are. HUH? In addition to that, when I attempted to communicate what I was looking for, she instead decided to speak over me and offer me a pain cream. I told her I did not experience pain, but that I was looking for refills for other products I already have. Instead of being kind, compassionate, and engaged with me like staff has been in my other visits to Saje, she continued to berate me over this pain cream and how it was fine if I didn't actually have pain, because it feels "so good" that it's worth it regardless. I don't know how to encapsulate how disrespected, overwhelmed, and confused this experience has left me. As I said, I adore Saje. I've found their staff to be so kind and welcoming. I can tell that, at other stores, they actually CARE about what I'm saying. All this woman cared about was getting a quick buck. Saje, please reflect and examine what you stand for. I miss the Saje where I knew my wellness was cared about. This history is the only reason I am being generous with my rating here. If your goal is to scam your community into buying whatever so that your pockets get lined, definitely continue with the hiring trajectory you're on.

The prices seem similar (sometimes a bit pricey) to similar stores but seem to have decent quality.

I bought the Aroma Zen Ultrasonic Diffuser which comes with two free blends Citrus Dream + Unwind Harmonizing. The diffuser at Saje has a life time warranty. Which I find is pretty amazing. So, if my diffuser stops working I can take it back with or without a receipt and get a replacement of equal value or pay the extra to get something that is more expensive. Staff: 5/5 very helpful and assisted us the entire time. Store: 5/5 clean and had disinfectant at the entrance, smells amazing. I mean, they are usually amazing at every Saje, but I tend to return to this location for the fact that I'm very comfortable with the staff. I usually don't like being approached by staff, but here, I'm super comfortable. On many occasions, the staff have helped me find the best solutions for me or as gifts for my friends. They help me figure out the best deal and not once have I felt pressured to but anything extra or be up sold. They've made recommendations based on what I've been getting, but once I let them know I don't think I'm interested, they don't push the subject at all. They just help me with what I've already selected. I learn a lot from these teams here and even when they sold out of the Safe Hands lotion, they helped me figure out ways to DIY the lotion for the same effects. It was so sweet of them. I'm a huge Saje fan now and I do think the products I've picked up have helped me with anxiety and just being more mindful of how I'm feeling. Peppermint Halo, by the way, works. I don't use it for headaches much but I use it when I have a sore or stiff neck (office worker problems). It 100% relieves my tension and helps with any building migraines. Thanks team!

We were promptly asked by someone if we needed help but we were okay just exploring on our own. It's kind of great that this store specializes in hand sanitizer so you don't have to be wary of germy hands! They have a sink here as in most Bath & Body Works so you can wash up after testing out their different offerings. A lot of the Fall scents are a little spicy this year! Pleasant though. The 3 wick candles were $15 off which were pretty awesome.

I saw this Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM). It was perfect to get some. This SDM used to be Friar's Tavern. I grew up knowing that it was the Hard Rock Cafe. It shut down a few years ago. It is now a drug store. It's also a heritage Toronto site. Its location is decent. It's across from both CF Eaton Centre and Yonge-Dundas Square. There is a Green P parking lot under the latter, so you could technically park and casually shop here. This SDM has two floors. It does have an elevator to get you between the floors. Sadly, it was out of commission when I dropped by. If you require an elevator to get you between floors, you are out of luck here, unless it's now fixed. I walked up the stairs. I liked that it had a mini grocery store. I saw fresh produce, salads, and more. I found my mints. I got some peppermint Excel mints. Yay! There was a single human at the cashout area. I ended up using a self-checkout. I only had mints, so the transaction was simple. I paid with a debit card. I had my PC Optimum barcode scanned from my SDM app. Done! I'm glad that I got mints. They came in handy while watching the concert. I didn't really need a drink, so I saved a bit not getting one at Massey Hall and having minty-fresh breath. This SDM is cool. I like the location. The only downside is that the store closes at 9 pm. As a result, you can't get groceries or snacks after a show. (483)

It's pretty popular and gets decent traffic. The accessories and stationery supplies are pretty affordable. Puzzles, snacks and some of the branded stuff seem similar priced at similar places like Indigo, Lego Store and groceries stores. Some of IP/Brand collabs are on vary in price but are usually on the expensive side (mainly the toys, bags, keychains etc). I am a little skeptical of the tech (at least the ones you need to use frequently). They are on the affordable side. I feel like they will be break pretty easily and may not last very long.
