DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!! I really think these people get a kick out of calling your job to harass you if you don't pay them on time. I forgot to pay on the due date, the next day they were calling my job. Mind you, my boss did not like that I was receiving personal phone calls. Is that even legal in Georgia? They call your personal phone once, then immediately call your job without giving you a chance to call them back. People do get busy at work. Oh, and I know that some of their reviews are fake! One of their employees asked me to google Dekalb General, once I did he took my phone and tried to give the company a good review. I was appalled but didn't say much because I needed the loan. The review he did didn't go through (thank God) so he asked me to go home and write a good review. I did not. Although I would love to be writing a good review. They also did not do a good job explaining the fees, the interest is way too much for the small amount of money I received. They also try to get you to go back and pick up money to restart your loan. Dekalb General Finance USED to be pretty good. Even though they had a high interest rate, getting a loan to help pay the bills was always pretty easy as was paying it off. However, now they are just like every other bank, paystubs only. So really you might as well just go to a bank, where you'll likely get a lower interest rate anyways. read more
