For me, it is based on one factor - authentic care for each person, no matter their needs. She has been there each and every day to answer questions, and ensure that I understand her recommendations and guidance. She is able to relate her knowledge in ways to help regardless of your financial literacy. With Melissa, I do not feel like just another account in her client book. She is patient and takes the time to understand me as a person and interpret that into solid financial advice. The level of care and attention didn't stop after I signed "on the dotted line." Schedule a consultation. You won't be sorry.

Melissa George has been a wonderful resource in my planning for retirement; I feel so fortunate to…read morehave found her! I'm an elementary school teacher who lives on a budget but wants to ensure that I am able to live the life I've dreamed of in retirement. Although I have always made pretty good decisions around money and budgeting, there is just so much that I didn't know. For something as important as retirement, 'pretty good' just wasn't good enough. I didn't feel fully equipped to make the right decisions. (I have never been good with numbers, and for this once-in-a-lifetime event I had to be sure that everything was perfect.) Melissa got to know me - my thoughts about money, my needs, my wants, ... my dreams - and delivered a tailored plan that is exactly what I need! It is not only understandable and easy to follow, but it shows me what my financial picture will look like next year, in 5 years, in 10 years, and onward. As outstanding as she is as a professional, I am most impressed with her "people skills". She is warm, engaging, and radiates a true sense of caring that is difficult to fake. She delivers information in a clear and compassionate way; she will not sugarcoat any difficult issues, but she will guide you through them. How rare to find such an outstanding business professional who is also a sincerely kind person! I have already paid her the biggest compliment that I can by referring my sister to her. Melissa George is simply the best at what she does!

Update: Update: Closing was at 11am and as of 3:30 they still haven't funded the seller proceeds…read more We contacted the President Kenneth Igwe and his was response was "All, Please remove me from this email chain." Tomorrow is a bank holiday so I don't know if we're going to get paid today or at all? wasn't the direct client -- I was the seller working with the buyer's lender, Baker Collins & Co. However, I've been very involved in coordinating the closing because I'm scheduled to leave the country for three weeks and wanted to ensure everything was settled before I go. Unfortunately, communication with Maureen Lewis has been unnecessarily difficult. Simple questions -- like whether the office would even be open on Veterans Day -- went unanswered or were met with vague replies and smiley faces and snide remarks like "I'm not the owner" instead of clear information. A two-minute confirmation turned into a multi-day back-and-forth. I understand they handle a lot of closings and that everyone's busy, but professionalism means taking responsibility and providing straightforward answers, especially when a client's (or seller's) transaction is on the line. We still haven't closed yet, so I'm a little concerned about how this will play out -- and that's not a feeling anyone wants before a major financial transaction.
