If it costs more to have someone show up, charge me more. But don't just not show up and claim it's because you're giving me a deal. That's insane. I had been communicating directly with the cleaning woman assuming I could trust her. My mistake. She went so far as to send fake screenshots to her boss claiming she had shown up. Obviously my building cameras and sign in sheet, along with the real screenshots from my phone, proved her stories false. The owner then sent me a personal friend of hers whom she said was a great gal and would clean for me for the deal I was looking for. Her friend, while very polite, just didn't do a thorough job. Pics show the lack of detail. I even printed out a checklist for her! She claimed it was because I had pets. The shower knob doesn't have water stains because my pets exist. Nope. She also used my $100 hand towel to do the dishes.

While other companies will sometimes be stellar, Maid for You has been completely consistent everytime, and the prices are totally reasonable. Their price is flat: $20/hour per person. So the other reviewer who said that Veronica told him the price is the same whether you have one or two people misunderstood her - the overall rate per hour per person is the same, but you don't pay the same for one person as you'd pay for two. And seriously, he was expecting two people for three and a half hours for $65? So a total of 6 and a half hour of labor for $65? When you consider how much goes to the company itself and insurance and what not, you're left with slave wages for the cleaners. Apparently Veronica felt she was perfectly justified charging her normally low prices instead of slave prices - good for her. Every time I've used them, everything was left gleaming and fresh, without that heavy cleaner smell. They even organized my things so everything made more sense. I really wanted to like them, but it just didn't happen…read more Started off not so hot because they were late by 2 hours. I'm told one of them got into a minor car accident, but obviously I don't know if that's the case. I'm inclined to believe them though-no reason not to. Aside from that, the job they did was okay, but I wasn't that impressed. There was a lot that they missed. For example: The counter tops? Clean. The *side* of the counter tops? Not at all. Nor the cabinets, or the outside of the oven. They also pretty much skipped the bathtub save for a quick surface cleaning. If they cleaned the glass doors to the tub/shower, it was not at all obvious. They looked just as dirty as we left them-and I'd actually cleaned them a few days prior. Of course because my boyfriend had to leave and I was out getting my hair done for my birthday, we didn't get to see where they put some of our stuff. I can't find our cat brush at all and my cats are sorely in need of a good brushing. The worst thing of all? Tonight I found out that these "professionals" put my cupcake holder and a few other pots in our oven. Needless to say, the plastic part of it melted and the $24 I spent on it went down the drain. I just can't understand why people who consider themselves professional cleaners would ever leave things in the oven. With the mess they cleaned up, it was pretty obvious we use it. I've been pretty busy lately, so I haven't cooked-which is why it took me this long to notice they put stuff in the oven. I plan to call them tomorrow about getting them to replace the ruined item. Hopefully they will without issue. So yes. I am angry. It was not done to satisfaction for $120. Things looked relatively clean from far away, but when you got closer, you could see that it wasn't as clean as it looked. I don't know if I'll ever find half the stuff they moved. I forgot to add before: They do offer (looks like this is new) 24 hours in which to call and have them fix anything not done right/well, which I appreciated. Only with my family coming into town and what not, it wasn't possible for me to be around for a second cleaning, and honestly, I would've needed to be. There wasn't much of a point to calling and not being around to make sure it was done right (or at all, in some cases) the second time around.

Elizabeth was professional and attentive in her follow up, and allowed me to leave the keys to my apartment after I moved out. My place was larger than some other 1 Bedrooms, and I left the kitchen fridge and stove in a bit of a mess, so the extra cost ($110.00) was not unexpected. What WAS unexpected was how GREAT a job they did! The place looked spotless, and my landlord was pleased. I can expect a full return of my deposit as a result, and I would highly reccomend this organization for either move-in / move-out or regular services.
