She was quick to respond to our calls and emails, and answered every question we threw at her. Jenny's knowledge and expertise were matched only by her friendly, yet professional, demeanor. They have screwed me in terms of rent increases without warning, unforeseen or previously reconciled charges, and simply not acting as a professional business. They have no problem billing you for random things, or not refunding. My pet deposit of $400 was non-refundable when I moved in, and I didn't have a choice. I work throughout the week, and once they called me 3 times in 3 hours, leaving messages for me to call them and see if they can schedule an appointment. Seriously, if I don't pick up the first time, I will CALL YOU BACK. There is NO organization, system of management, or professionalism with Applegate. Not to mention they are consistently late for scheduling showing times, and it is not uncommon to have them tell you "Well, we couldn't get there because the visitor is not here." Well have the decency to call me and tell me that. Please, I write this because I care for tenant's rights. Accounting and reporting very difficult to follow; also had a number of significant "mistakes" that resulted in me being grossly overcharged. They also left me with exceptionally low quality maintenance, very long vacancy periods, poor tenant selection....All around disaster! I would really caution against using them. Keep looking - at this stage I have to think nearly any property manager would be better.

The dishwasher was clogged with decayed food, the carpet had a terrible smell, there were 100s of dead bugs, drawers fell out from cabinet, garage doors did not work and later had a power outage (no heat) to an electric short. The we found out the house was unlicensed to rent. We had to go to the court to get out of the lease. And we had to pay Todd $300 from the rental deposit as he found the house was not clean as it was at the final inspection. I dont know how this business is still in business.

I've had two separate encounters with Renters Warehouse, one as a landlord in the Twin Cities three…read moreyears ago, and now more recently (last week) as a rental applicant with the Western Wisconsin and both experiences have been poor specifically regarding their poor communication. I will speak specifically to the Western Wisconsin team as the topic at hand. I submitted an application, including paying an application fee, for a rental home in Western Wisconsin and followed up the next day to get a better idea of the process. The phone call to the agent lead to a full voice mail box (warning signs). A follow up email was eventually replied to basically a day later with no helpful information. I followed up with a question which was not answered at all after a business week. I emailed again, and included the Renters Warehouse Wisconsin owners, and finally got an answer from an owner that my application still hadn't been processed at all (I have credit monitoring so I already knew that) and they didn't know when it would be processed (they blamed the company that runs the checks basically). The lack of professionalism for a paying customer is terrible. There is a clear lack of organization based on a full voicemail box and horribly poor follow up to email. I may be a prospective renter, but I paid for something. The professional thing is to provide basic follow up and just be attentive. Plus, this is something very important like housing. With a competitive market waiting a week to hear something just isn't acceptable let alone waiting a week for for no movement whatsoever and no courtesy follow up to explain the situation. The effort, or lack there of, just screams an unprofessional organization and service and I would not recommend them to either take care of your investment property nor to try to rent a house through them. There are plenty of management companies that would likely at least appear to be professional and organized and Renters Warehouse Western Wisconsin isn't one of them.
