Over an hour after the schedule time, no one from Kingsway had shown up. I called and asked to speak to Farra who I had made the appointment with. I was told she were in a meeting. I explained we had been waiting over an hour for someone to show up. They took my message & said someone would call me back. It's been 2 days & not one call from anyone at Kingsway. I would not recommend this company. If they just don't show up to do an assessment, and do not call to explain why not, how can you trust them to take care of your loved ones?

The RN behind the counter sincerely cares for patients you can tell she is doing anything she can to get people in. We will wait a bit longer and give a second update. There was NO reason to be here four hours for what I needed to be seen for. The only reason to come here was because nothing else was open at the time and my primary told me to.

My fiancé was in Ellis Hospital since early Monday morning for chest and stomach pain. He got told…read morethat he needed surgery to get the stent removed which he did and the surgeon told us everything went well. The next day he got told that he had an infection and they were giving him antibiotics which was fine. Within a few hours later i spotted 2 big black and blue bruises on his leg and hip that was no where near the stent removal.(HE DID NOT HAVE BRUISES WHEN HE WENT IN) They kept giving him medication that was not working and they said that they don't know what one was doing the job so they kept giving him more which was making him drowsy and sleeping all day. They also negotiated him and letting him sit in his own bodily fluids not only that they refused to feed him for 24 hours and left him starving all day and they did nothing about it they also did not let him use the bathroom when needed they kept him in bed and not allowing him to walk around and stretch. When he asked for something it took the nurses and doctors hours to respond to him. The doctors and nurses do not care about anyone in the hospital they rather chitchat to each other about themselves.

I gave birth to my first child at Bellevue…read more Prior to that, my fiancé and I attended the Prepared Childbirth, Breastfeeding, and Infant CPR classes on site. All were well done and informative, taught by knowledgeable staff. When I arrived, I had to check in at the front desk and fill out paperwork, even though I was very obviously in labor. Annoying, considering I had preregistered to avoid this. Labor and delivery could not have gone better. The room was comfortable and quiet. All nurses (especially Beth) and Dr. Tang the anesthesiologist were amazing and so supportive. I was handed my son right away and got lots of skin to skin time. I wish I could've stayed on the l&d floor for the rest of my stay because the recovery floor was not so great. The bed was older than dirt and just as uncomfortable. I actually slept in the recliner the second night. The room itself was noisy. I could hear everything going on in the hallway and next door, all day and night. The shower was smaller than what you'd find on a cruise ship... not fun for a new mom in pain. Staff was mostly good. Our night nurse was apathetic, but our day nurse (I wish I could remember her name!) was fantastic. Dr. Levine and Patti the lactation consultant were also great and spent a lot of time with us to explain everything in detail. The food was actually really good (mac and cheese!), but I wish food for spouses was free. Poor fiance got less sleep than I did; paying for meals just added insult to injury. I was disappointed that I wasn't wheeled out and had to walk out. I mean really? Two days postpartum? I barely made it to the car parked right outside the front door. I did appreciate the Halo Sleepsack parting gift though, that thing was a lifesaver the first few months. Despite its flaws, I'd recommend having your baby at Bellevue. Just be realistic with your expectations. It's a hospital, not the Four Seasons.

The day RN was all but cold to me obviously more interested in dealing with mother baby patients.. Even had the nerve to ask me if I needed the plastic surgery or did I just want it.I felt very insulted. She offered no assistance with locating my husband or showing guidance in the process. I even asked her if they took me out in a wheel chair ect... Her response was "you walk in you walk out" I am an RN myself and was horrified with her treatment. I took my belongings and tried finding my way to the lobby, I was very light headed and weak two staff members noticed I was not doing well and questioned me why I wasn't in a wheelchair, I told them what the nurse had said , they righted her wrong and were extremely apologetic.

After the 3rd fall in her home, my MIL was sent to Baptist after a stay at Saratoga Hospital…read more After speaking with doctors and specialists at Saratoga Hospital, the plan was for her to go to BH until we could make arrangements for her to go to an assisted living facility. This plan was created by her family, her PCP, the social workers and the geriatric specialist because it was no longer safe for her to live alone. Baptist was an absolute nightmare of bone-chilling proportions. Once they had her, they changed the plan against our wishes. They took advantage of her dementia, refused to allow us (her only son) to remove her from their facility, and at the same time refused us to allow to transfer her to a facility closer to us! They even revoked my husband's POA, which had been signed and established YEARS ago. Thankfully, adult protective services stepped in to help us. I wish someone had warned us... Baptist, in my opinion and based on our experience, is as bad as it gets. I would NEVER let anyone I cared for step one foot in the door.
