I used this station before and after watching Manchester City's FA Cup Semi Final fixture against Arsenal. There are four platforms in use at this station with platforms 1 and 2 being both railway and tube, which is strange as they use the same platforms so it can be a little confusing if you aren't from London. After the game, there was some trouble here with Arsenal fans trying to wind up the City fans, meanwhile I managed to prove how nice City fans are by actually giving an Arsenal fan directions with me back to Euston, most trains from southbound platform whether they be tube or rail do call via Euston, The Underground Bakerloo line, London Midland, Overground and Southern all have services from here. Overall, the station is a small station typical of most of London, no shops or anything inside but it is set out more like a tube station rather than an actual railway station. Due to an issue with long trains and short platforms, Virgin Trains don't stop here and might stop nearby at either Watford or Milton Keynes to get a train to here, otherwise you can just carry onto Euston which is probably the best option, which I found out the hard way. The staff at the station seemed mainly unfriendly, apart from one person which I guess is better than nothing. This station caused me so much issues when booking my tickets, to the point where I was on the phone for hours to find out whether this station is accessiable or not, and it is from Platforms 1 and 2 for Overground and Underground services and not 4 and 5 for London Midland and Southern services which is confusing and frustrating and something needs to be done to clear this up and ease confusion. 2 stars for location being so close to Wembley and having probably the most regular trains from the most regular destinations but due to so many flaws I sadly can't go any higher than that for Wembley Central.

Wembley Park is rocking on a match day or for a concert, and then on other days it's slow and sleepy and serves a little windswept community of middle-income Northwest Linden. Match days are when it comes alive and I love it here at both times. It's amazing although I really really miss the old school Wembley, which I was thrilled to visit a very long time ago when I was a very young child by myself - but don't tell my parents - to see a Michael Jackson concert.

It's situated directly off the North Circular Road, and is in London Transport's Zone 3. The line was opened in 1917 by the London and North Western Railway, and was electrified and used by underground trains from the start. The station, which is on an embankment, has had a chequered history: the original station was damaged in the Second World War, and rebuilt immediately afterwards. There is an attractive, small brick-built building at ground level, and modern platforms canopies which provide reasonable shelter from the elements (so long as it's not blowing a north-westerly or south-easterly, in which case the station acts like a funnel). Interchange is provided with bus routes 112 and 440, and the 18 stops in Harrow Road, a few minutes' walk away. Trains run every 20 minutes between Euston and Watford Junction, and about every 6 minutes on the Bakerloo line. NB: The ticket office has limited opening hours, and there is no step-free access. There is an uncovered bicycle rack next to the station building, but no-one seems to dare to leave their bike here. The station provides a great view of the new Wembley stadium over the rooftops of Harlesden!

Due to a lift issue at Harrow and Wealdstone Station, I had to take a half an hour detour out of my…read morejourney to continue on my Southern Railway train to Harrow Station, only to end up waiting for another train to take me back to Wembley Central, which goes on the opposite platform with a working lift, this trip to the station because of this was an unwanted one. Harrow and Wealdstone Station is a train station in the Harrow area of London, and for ticketing it is classed as region 5. This is quite an old station, to the point where it was made a Grade II Listed building in 1990. The worst ever British railway crash in 1952, which killed 112 people also sadly occurred here at this station. The station is managed by London Underground but has both Underground and Overground trains. As mentioned this station is pretty old, and it has nothing too special about it, it doesn't have a lot of shops or coffee-shops in the station. Services from here go into the likes of Milton Keynes, Wembley Central and London Euston, with the London Euston being an Overground or London Midland service, as I recall this calls at Wembley Central, so if you're going to watch a football match at Wembley this station isn't too far away for you in terms of getting a train into Wembley. As mentioned, a decent yet not fantastic overall level of more local train connections run from here to the likes of Watford, Milton Keynes, Wembley and London, and this station isn't terrible but overall as it lacks any special feature, other than being a Grade II listed building, I sadly feel Harrow and Wealdstone Station deserves a two-star rating, which even then is a little generous.

Very quick to get in / out of the station - just mind where you entered and where you exit. Used the Oyster card and found it very easy to tap in / out. The staff working there are very friendly and will help you out if get confused. Just remember they have 4 platforms and the above ground trains help you see that. Found their bathroom & snack shop very useful for the 35 minute trip into London!

During the strike this station was meant to be open which is why I routed myself here 11.30pm at…read morenight, only to find that would not allow people into the station to get on the trains going thru to edgware but they would allow passengers from edgware and Central London to get off at Golders Green! Had to get a bus to edgware which is a long route. All in all a very bad service today I'm afraid you might just as well not bothered opening if you are going to discriminate against edgware passengers or was it just sheer laziness?

Notting Hill Gate is the perfect place to stop if you're visiting Notting Hill because it's right in the center of everything. There are many streets with colorful houses right nearby and lots of little cafes and restaurants to choose from.

We needed to transfer from our usual line to another to explore London a little more. When I walked into the station, I was drawn in by the massive curved canopy and the larger platform landings. This station was built in 1868 and can imagine what it looked like then. Many years before cars, people were commuting through London via underground rail. The place has history and it was cool to see, while you are on your way to see other places.

Willesden Junction is one of North London's main suburban rail hubs. The station itself - and…read moreindeed, its surroundings - are extraordinarily unprepossessing, surrounded as they are by miles of railway yards, industrial premises and major roads. But it's a really useful transport interchange, and set to get busier as the new London Overground services develop. The station has a complex history: the first station here was opened in 1866 on the original main line out of Euston. At the same time, a station was opened on the North London Line, which ran from the City to Richmond. In 1915 services began on the new suburban electric lines from Euston to Watford, which were also used by the Bakerloo Underground line. An electric service was also provided along the West London Line to Kensington High Street. The main line platforms were removed when outer suburban services ceased calling at Willesden in 1962. The West London line service had ceased in 1940, but recommenced in 1999. Today, there are four sets of services calling at the station: - Euston to Watford Junction (every 20 minutes) - Richmond to Stratford (North London Line - every 15 minutes) - Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction (every 30 minutes) - Elephant & Castle to Harrow & Wealdstone (Bakerloo - frequent) Except the Bakerloo line services, since 2007 the other lines have been operated by London Transport and branded as the 'London Overground'. Together, they knit together a wide range of destinations in North and West London, and provide a means to getting between them without going into central London. Plans are in the pipeline to increase the frequency of all services, and the number of trains running between Clapham Junction and Stratford via the North London Line - currently, this happens only at rush hour. Willesden Junction is effectively two separate stations, linked by a walkway and stairs (or a lift): the Bakerloo and Euston to Watford services use the lower station, which is well preserved with traditional wooden awnings. The North London and West London Line services to Clapham use the upper station, which has very short platforms, and modern but slightly tatty buildings. Both levels have small outlets selling hot drinks and snacks, and the station is now fully accessible, thanks to a network of elevated walkways and lifts.
