It's closeness to the water, allowed us to find secret spots to relax in close to the water. We also saw seals playing in the water. They definitely drew a crowd, along with photographers but it was such a sweet experience. The beach sand was soft and the water was gorgeous.

It was a nice walk, altho for the 1st half it was wooded and the ground a bit dirty so i should have worn sneakers vs flip flops. The later part is paved and a boardwalk which was pretty. We took the trolley back and it was fast and easy. There are bathrooms at the main parking area as well as at the closest beach parking (resident only). Bathroom was clean and was being cleaned while we were there. The beach is huge especially at low tide. The surf was rough with endless seals swimming by and a shark flag waving. Water a bit cold. We walked 1 mile south during low tide and enjoyed all the tide pools and different shapes created in the sand by the water. We also walked a half mile north and it is very quiet except for the spot next to the entrance. Peaceful and reminded us of being on an island as it was so quiet with not many people around, and unique scenery. Bring your own everything as there is no snack shack.

There are some nice walkways to lookouts over the ocean and the marsh, and also a bike path that leads to Nauset. It can be a bit buggy on those walkways due to the marsh just fyi. There's tons of accessible parking. In fact it's only accessible and resident parking available at the lot right by the beach. My only complaint is that while there's lots of accessible parking, the lot is pretty far away from the entrance to the beach. As someone who can walk, but not for longer distances without a break, it's a bit frustrating. I wish there was at least a drop off point, but there's only a sign that reads "no drop offs at anytime. I've read they have beach wheelchairs in season, but there were none available at the time I was there.

Microwave, Mini Frig, T.V with Cable. Small coffee pot set up. A desk, table 2 chairs. Hangers and luggage rack. There is a great Pool which is a big perk. Unfortunately, this year was to cold to swim. We had swam last year and it was great! There is a Supermarket across the street and the beach not far at all. The motel provides an informative binder. The town center is actually within walking distance for most people about 1/4 to 1/2 miles away. Becareful though, the road in front of the property, at the traffic lights gets very busy. We witnessed a bad car accident while waiting to cross the street, the 1st year. A Continental Breakfast with delicious homemade muffins is served every morning. To be totally transparent and give a 100% honest review these next things were a few minor issues that only happened our last visit. The water pressure in the shower was very slow. No shower liner, (not the problem) the fabric curtian got soaking wet and wet the whole floor, causing a slipping hazzard. The soap and shampoo/conditioners weren't filled. We were supposed to be given a second key that was never dropped off. Had the T.V. shut off at about 10pm while we were watching, out of nowhere. I called the office to let the staff know and got a NOT my problem response, that I wasn't excepting. This year we had tried to book 2 days again, but only one was available. We decide to take the 1 night and pay more then we would have elsewhere. No sure about next year.

It's got sand. It's got water, at least at high tide…read more So it's technically a beach. It's not an exciting beach though. Good for little kids and old people. Like many bay beaches at low tide you might have to walk out half a mile to get to water up to your waist, but at least the water will likely be warm and calm. It's better at high tide. Kids will like the tidal pools at low tide but First Encounter nearby is better for that. Its usually quiet as the parking lot is very small and requires a sticker in the summer. If you live or rent in the area maybe it's worth going but I wouldn't drive too far to come here.

I love when the tide is out, you feel like you can walk forever until you get to the deep ocean water. Boats are anchored out in the water from the beach. Cute beach houses overlook the beach from above. Wooden stair access to the beach from the parking lot. Parking fees apply during summer season. Port a potty set up in parking lot during the summer. Keep an ear out for the ice cream trucks making their rounds, so bring a few dollars to the beach with you. Go back in the evening, it's a great place to watch the sunset. The beach we hang out at when visiting the area.

There is a $30 fee, but it gives you the whole day and all of the beaches there is a fee so it just is what it is. The bathrooms were immaculate! Plenty of stalls to choose from and it was spotless. I felt very comfortable using it. As far as the beach, go early because it does get crowded, but you will enjoy soft sand and rolling waves. Plus you can take a leisurely walk down the beach to get those steps in!
