Fish to rice ratio, as others have said, is pretty pathetic. Who's the idiots saying you get what you pay for? And that it's a 'fair' price? Can tell they've never eaten decent sushi in their lives. You do NOT get what you pay for here. That amount of rice is MUCH cheaper at a standard Chinese restaurant. Came down to the MYR area for a little one night vaca. We live in Charlotte and have a place similar there so we figured we would like King Sushi. Very good! Everything was tasty and fresh. Came here after a long day at the beach with friends. We arrived shortly before close (we weren't aware of their closing time) but they chose to seat us anyways. Morgan was our waitress and she was nothing short of amazing. A few of the friends were acting a bit childish after some drinking on the beach but she was unphased and did her job well. The food was good and very fast but that might have been because we were the only ones in the restaurant haha. There was an issue with a bill or two but they were super understanding and quick to help/fix the mistake. Last year we tried their other location and were so pleased that we thought we would try this location as it is closer to where we are staying this time. We were not disappointed. For all you can eat and for the quality of food the price is reasonable. The appetizers are good quality well made with a good amount of seasoning, we liked the spring rolls, crab Rangoon and the pork dumplings. Another great eating extravaganza! read more

For $25 per person, save your money. We love sushi so we were really looking forward to eating here. First of all it was early for dinner so it was no busy but the service was slow. We were greeted by one of the waitresses telling the host not to sit us in their section because they were going on break which should have been discussed away from our earshot. It took a long time to get drinks, our plates were not cleared even though we stacked them at the end of our table to show we were done. We had to flag another waitress to get our bill. Again, they were not busy. Our review of the food:The crab Rangoons were mostly cream cheese not crab. The pork dumplings were good and so was the soup. The sushi rolls were small and not very flavorful even though we tried a variety of different ones. Overall, we were not impressed by the sushi that was offered. read more

I NEVER leave food reviews but I could not let this one slide. After ordering various sushi rolls from here I can say with 100% certainty this is the worst I have ever had in my life. I don't even believe there was any actual fish in them. Looked and tasted like a filler of bread crumbs. Spent $82 for a delivery for myself, my daughter and son-in-law where the majority ended up in the garbage- we are now getting pizza! We had a group of four and ate the "all you can eat" - we ordered the - King roll, Richmond roll, Hawaiian roll, Orchard roll, California roll, Spicy Tuna roll (all of which were great!) and then the Crazy Monkey roll (NOT GOOD at all). We also ordered the Spicy tuna salad, Avocado salad, Kani salad, Pork Gyoza, Crab Rangoon and the teriyaki steak and all of those were very yummy as well! The only reason they do not get the full 5 stars is because their service was majorly lacking! We had to get up and ask for our own refills after waiting for approx 20 min and no one coming to the table. What a joke for sushi. Been wanting to try and what a horrible mistake. Most rolls have some sort of imitation crab (minimal). The shrimp is some type of mealy powder. Excellent food. My new favorite place for all you can eat. They use a lot of rice in their sushi rolls, also rice comes with the kitchen meals too. So if you plan on getting everything on the all you can eat menu be wise about the loads of rice. Rushed meal. Soup, rolls, drinks all brought out at the same time. Staff does not remove food from table in time for space of entries. Server brought out food and was asked to carry away some plates and said "no." I thought this was because she had other food on her tray to serve. However, when she returned she served another plate and no longer had food on her tray. I held up a stack of plates to give her and again she said "No!" We then proceeded to the manager and her to hand the plates and were told she doesn't speak English-but it was very clear she understood the request. The manager then told us to leave calling my husband a racist because he said this is America and I expected her to understand. We happily left and will not return to a restaurant that freely uses the word racist to their customers. read more

I love this place ! When we visit South Carolina we typically end up going atleast twice . The dinner buffet price is only $22, which for sushi is cheap. I can't go out to a non buffet sushi place and spend less . My favorite appetizer is the shrimp dumplings ! The salads are good and cute portion sizes . The rolls are all pretty basic but very good. The hibachi is very good but very filling I definitely wouldn't start with it. The food comes reasonably quick. Everything is freshly made to order and you can put in as many orders as you want . But don't waste to much or they will charge you understandably. read more

The only reason I am leaving a two star is because the only thing that was good at this place was the music. Whoever was connected to the aux had a fire playlist. The appetizers were good. The first few rolls we had were mediocre, but then after it started to get busy, they forgot about us and the rolls came out warm from sitting there for so long. I also had to place an order for my dumplings 2 times. And finally they were brought out the second time! And to put the cherry on top of the Sundae, there was a hair wrapped around the sushi a very, very, very long black hair.. We looked back at the kitchen to see who was making the rolls and he failed to have a hair net on, he just had his hair pulled back in a man bun. We were sitting there for about 15 minutes without any refills on our sprite, I turned to my aunt that was there with us and told her I'm glad I did not have a disease where I got thirsty, very quickly and died! This place made me, my aunt, and my friend all sick to our stomachs and we were in the bathroom almost 10 times through out the night/next day all combined. Our waitress did give us a "non local" discount. But our bill was still $100. I would not recommend this place at all unless you want to listen to good music while eating some hot sushi! So after looking on TA for sushi we decided to try Kings Sushi. AYCE dinner is $19 I like the concept of picking what you want, selections get cooked and brought to your table. We arrived around 4p on a Wednesday so we were seated right away however after waiting a while no one came over so I had to get up and get a waitress...tisk tisk I shouldn't have to go get you! After we made our first selection.. We ordered the miso soup which was good a little more salty then I'm used to Shrimp sumai dumpling I didn't like this too much scallion and it was fried which I'm not used to Crab Rangoon mostly cream cheese and wonton wrapper wasn't fried long enough it was doughy in the middle. Pork goyza dumpling was very greasy not a fan. Edamame was good but they're hard to mess up. Beef fried rice was fine Hawaii roll is excellent tho we got 2 rolls along with the shrimp tempura roll too All in all I'd return for lunch and stick to the sushi. read more

This place is really good and much better because everything is made when ordered rather than sitting out on a buffet. I recommend ordering a little and as you go. You can order more! They have a warning posted about wasting food. My only complaint is that they should make 1/2 rolls so you can try more and not worry about wasting. The lunch deal for $12.99 is an awesome deal! Loved this place when it first opened. After time quality slipped. This was my daughter and my favorite place at one point. Until the day my daughter got sick while eating there. Then i check the department of health and it has some low ratings for improper food handling. So frustrating, we love the concept. After many months, we decide to try again. Service was good! All the rolls has more rice than the actual cut of seafood. As many mentioned below, the ratio of seafood vs rice was a joke.
