Friendly 4 Stars - Solid Spot for AYCE Sushi in the Carolinas! We visited King's Sushi for dinner around 5pm, and I'm glad we did--because by 5:45pm, the place was buzzing! It's clearly a local favorite, and for good reason. The staff was super friendly, service was quick, and everything came out fresh and tasty. As far as All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) sushi goes, this was a solid experience--family-friendly, well-run, and overall satisfying. Is it the best sushi I've ever had? Not quite. (Southern CA girl here--our food diversity out West is next-level.) But for this area, King's holds its own and definitely hits the spot when you're craving a sushi night out. If you're going for the ambience, it's pretty unremarkable. I would personally recommend some music in the background. The place dated, but clean. Would I go again? Yep.

They were short staffed but still delivered great service and food! Our waiter remained relaxed and was helpful and kind. For the price of the lunch buffet it was definitely worth it! I recommend the Kani Salad (cucumber and crab meat salad), the Crab Rangoon, and Steak Teriyaki (no rice or vegetables). I would NOT recommend the Pork Gyoza or Yakisoba Noodles. Also be aware the icecream is a cheap store bought in a cup, but was surprisingly good, even after feeling stuffed!!

Good sushi option in the area. Is it the best sushi I've ever had? No, but I didn't expect it to be. Surprisingly, there aren't a ton of really good sushi options in this area, and I'd venture to say Kings is probably the best one. I ordered to go on a Tuesday evening to bring back and enjoy by the water. It was fast, took about 20 minutes from when I called it in. Speaking of calling in, if you do takeout, call vs ordering online and it'll save you about $8. I've never eaten in here so haven't been able to take advantage of the AYCE deal and can't speak to it but I'd say to strive for that if you can because, of course, it is a much better deal. My 4 rolls were $46. I definitely over ordered but my growling stomach got the best of me, as it usually tends to do :) It's located in the Piggly Wiggly shopping center on the end. Parking was a breeze. The place itself is pretty cozy inside. It's a typical sushi type spot. It didn't seem extremely busy but had some patrons. I ordered a Crunchy, Rainbow, White Dragon, and Orchard roll. They were all good! My favorites were the Crunchy and Rainbow. The fish and shrimp were really fresh. I didn't love the crabmeat, although it did have a peppery kick which was a nice surprise. Prices were pretty fair, especially for the size of the rolls. The white sauce (or yum yum) wasn't my favorite, but it's good! It's pretty standard with other places, I just prefer a whiter sauce (I promise I'm not as picky as I sound!) Overall, I'd come back here. I definitely want to do the AYCE and I'd also like to check out their hibachi. There's plenty of menu items and something for everyone to enjoy.

Let me get straight to the point...The food is good and if Jordan is your waiter, you have hit the jackpot at King Sushi. This is a great date night, family night, or girls/guys night out spot. The winner for me is that they serve Sapporo! If you know you know. Jordan also makes a mean Arnold Palmer. Just the right mix of tea and lemonade. If you are local to or visiting Myrtle Beach, check this spot out. Happy Eating!

Came to $30.93 after tax for all you can eat sushi dinner. I was really happy with the selection and service. Was nice and quiet, rolls/ everything else came out within 5 mins of ordering. Austin was really good about checking on me and customizing some things. It's all made to order and was petty great quality. I know $30 seems maybe like a lot but if you to a sushi place getting 2-3 rolls by itself would be $30 & I got multiple rolls, 2 soups, 3 appetizers, etc.

I got take out and you just don't do that at an all you can eat sushi restaurant. It's not what they do or should do. I love sushi and this was equal to getting grocery store sushi. Lots of rice and just a little meat. Not saying it was bad but just have your expectations. I was looking for a cheap dinner and it fit that and met my expectations. If your looking for true amazing sushi this isn't it but I'll scratch the itch. Very nice staff who took order. Asked for kids chopsticks and they gave me a couple extra, which was nice. Daughter was very happy to use them and work on holding chopsticks. 2 year old attempted which was pretty cute to watch. Big inside. Was not expecting it. Must do a lot of business with the tourist crowd.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised by this place. AYCE rolls, nigiris, sushi & kitchen appetizers, hibachi, and ice cream to top it off. Service was prompt and friendly. We had Caine (sp?) he was attentive and took care of us well. Apps: we like the squid salad, gyoza, shrimp shui mai, jalapeño yellowtail, peppered tuna. We didn't like the chicken Katsu (too thin, heavily bartered, over fried, served with a sweet chili and not katsu sauce too). Worthy of nothing that the salmon bowls are more kani than salmon and it's torched. Not to bad, but just not what we expected. Everything else was pretty standard to what we expected. Hibachi: comes with the proton, side veggies, and rice. Steak was over cooked but it was in small pieces. We enjoyed the veggies and shrimp. Sushi: nigiri came with hefty amount of rice as expected with most AYCE places. However, the rice proportions for the rolls were very reasonable. All the rolls were fairly enjoyable. Only one we didn't like was the crunchy spicy salmon one. Fish didn't have any fishy taste but wasn't the freshest either. Drinks: alcohol was surprisingly affordable here. I think an entire bucket (5) of domestic was $13? Our server let us mix and match which was a plus. For the price point, I think this was an enjoyable experience. Great service & cheap beer is definitely the cherry on top.

Loved this place so much that we went twice during our MB vacation! Perfect spot for families! It's super easy to order because you just mark the paper with all that you want. The servers are very attentive! Amber was great! It's worth the all you can eat especially for dinner so you can get unlimited yellowtail jalapeño and salt and pepper tuna - so good!! Highlights to the meal: Christmas roll, spider roll, orchard roll, hibachi steak, hibachi shrimp, katsu chicken, shrimp tempura. yummy yummy sauce, spicy Mayo. The kani salad is kinda dry but you can add spicy Mayo to it and it's delicious. The hibachi entrees come with veggies and fried rice- the steak was tender and the shrimp was juicy! The ice cream for dessert was hit or miss, both times mine was a bit freezer burned but my family didn't notice it in theirs. If you're looking for a good sushi/hibachi all you can eat, definitely give this place a try!

If you ever had good sushi before don't bother going to this one, you will not like it. We couldn't finish our meal because it was not good at all. Customer service was great tho they didn't charge us for left overs and gave us a discount.

The quality of the sushi was pretty good for an all you can eat sushi place! Such a wide selection of rolls with extremely fast service. Our orders came in no time. There is plenty of seating as well, and we were able to get seated immediately during lunch time. So satisfied with my meal!!

I'd give negative starts if I could. Worst sushi I have ever had. Dingy old establishment with overcooked rice and frozen tasteless fish.

The peel and eat shrimp was the reason we returned. Instead of the typical boiled flavor you find at most places, this tasted almost broiled, giving it a richer flavor that immediately stood out. It was absolutely phenomenal and easily the star of the meal. On our first visit, my boyfriend had the fish and chips and I ordered the catch of the day sandwich, both very good and well prepared. The view is beautiful, there is shaded outdoor seating, and the service was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Because we enjoyed it so much, we came back again and started with the peel and eat shrimp once more. We also shared the wedge salad, which we had ordered the first time as well. It was fresh, crisp, and the blue cheese was excellent. We added the oysters Rockefeller and the tuna pizza, both packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. To finish, we ordered two sushi rolls, and once again everything was balanced and thoughtfully done. The flavors complemented each other beautifully. Every dish felt carefully prepared, and the overall experience was memorable from start to finish. We were extremely happy with both visits and will absolutely return next year.

AMBIANCE = 3 The environment was nice. Good amount of open space. Outside deck seating. Nice bar area. 2. FOOD/DRIINKS = 2 We had clamira, wedge salad, Seafood plates. One beer IPA. The veggie selection was not appetizing in appearance. The fish selection was good but nothing special. The 2 was the result of the veggie selection looked burnt overcooked. If this had not been the case it would have been a 3. Next time I would request to have it returned and do without. Mash potatoes were good. 3. SERVICE = 5 Our waitress was attentive and engaging. The food came quickly and was a good temperature. 4. BATHROOM = 3 Clean and maintained. 5. PRICING = 2 The appetizer $16. Salad $16. Meals $42. Beer 20oz $11. Tax is 10%. Plus tip. $169 for 2 people. I would recommend to drop appetizer by $4 and wedge salad to $12. Beer how can a 20oz cost $11.00 for Sweetwater 420. With the push to get wait staff to $15 per hour. Someplace has to give and it will come in the tip area. So think of this it 10% for taxes and 20% for tip. I do not tip on full bill. Only food and beverage without taxes. That is a lift to see 30% for a couple of hour dining experience. If more alcohol from wine to mix drink it would be expensive. 6. OBSERVATION With some Does not meet expectations for food and price. The environment ok. I think at least for the team that took care of us made a difference. I would probably not choose to eat here again as there are a number of options in the area to choose from. The parking was good. Need to get your parking pass signed off by resteraunt. It is free. If not the parking value is $30.00. 7. I typically don't order rolls, my go-to is a sashimi platter, but they didn't offer one, which was a big disappointment. At that point, I wasn't sure what to order, so I ended up getting a couple of rolls along with some sashimi pieces. Unfortunately, everything was pretty mediocre, at best. Hamachi sashimi pieces were good, but way too small. =(( When we arrived, we told the hostess we'd like to sit outside. She told us to seat ourselves at any table. After sitting down, no one came to check on us, no server, no hostess, no one. Eventually, my boyfriend had to go ask for service. Regarding the ambiance, I can't speak for the inside, but the outdoor seating, where we sat, consisted of just a few picnic tables. Our bill came out to a little over $100. They had already added an automatic gratuity (I believe 18% or 20%), and then still prompted for an additional tip with suggested amounts like 18%, 20%, and 25%, which felt excessive. To top it off, I was still hungry when we left. Some people seem to like this place OK, but for myself, I will not be returning.
