Volleyball tournament wrapped up, so we looked on Yelp for options on a Sunday night. Saw plenty of reviews and lots of stars, so we gave Kings Row a whirl. Girls had corndogs, fries, and root beer shakes, while grownups had cheeseburgers and tots with a Diet Pepsi. (You know, gotta be healthy.) If you're looking for delicious grease, this is it! There are some nights in life when all you want is a really good drive-in burger, some fries and maybe some chicken strips. We found ourselves in Selah the other evening and had such a hankering-luckily we found the spot and all was well! The humble digs house some absolute magic inside. One half of the restaurant has old-school table seating well the other half has older school bar type seating. The menu is what you would expect and included burger, Hotdogs, fish and chicken options. We shared a garbage burger which is their version of a supreme burger. This thing was boss! It was big enough for two of us to share, had beef, ham and bacon on it. It was like animals from a magical farm we're having an argument, ended up in a dog pile and then ended up on my burger! The onion rings were also quite tasty. The batter was really nice and they weren't the overly huge ones that end up being eaten lava hot onion first followed by slightly cool breading that doesn't taste as good as it should because there's no skin left on your tongue. The fries were standard, but were made much better by the fact that they brought out fry sauce. They have the recipe perfected here! Not that it's that hard to make fry sauce, but getting that perfect amount of catchup and mayonnaise mixed to that perfect color and taste is something that takes time and it's nice that they've taken the work out of it. This place is a total win! The food is excellent, the prices are good and it's the sort of place where the kiddos can be on the loud side and it doesn't bother anybody. This is a really neat place to go. Especially in the spring or summer evenings. I find this place so relaxing. I prefer to eat outside under the trees with the tasteful music blaring with the tree lights on. The food is good and in my opinion not expensive. After dinner if you have room casually stroll over to little ice cream shop. This place never disappoints. read more

Great little walk up / drive thru burger stand in Yakima Area of Washington ... The price was good, the food was good, they have a cool green grass area to eat outside with plenty of socially distanced spots you can pick and choose... They serve Pepsi Products so I my opinion "Double Score"!!! It is Ma and PA owned so don't expect the cookie cutter McDonald's or Burger King Burgers... Theirs are fresh and hot off the grill... If you're anything like myself: you can top it off with fries and a soda or shake... Hope this helps little tip: Yakima is pretty sunny, depending on the type of day if you park near the fence at the Ice Cream stand or I set the tree at the opposite end of the row you'll have plenty of shade while you eat on a summer day. read more

Was driving by and was drawn in by the small town old school burger vibe. The food was pretty good, prices reasonable and the staff friendly. Food is made to order and special sauce was good! TAKES TOO DANG LONG! I went in for lunch with me and my buddy Pete. Pete and I ordered 2 garbage burger meals and waited. We have 30 min lunches and we were down the street so we didn't think we would be late coming back to work. If fact the meals took 30 min to get and they didn't even say they were sorry about the long wait like it's a normal thing. The food was good but the service is slow. If you have a 30 min lunch you might want to call an hour before to get it right away. Fast food was a little slow that day! read more

I've been wanting to go to this place for years but finally made the effort a few weeks ago and the one thing I wanted was their Garbage Burger. The only issue I had was how long my order was taking. I got there at 6:15pm for dinner and my meal didn't get to me until 7:15pm. However, they were making my burger and onion rings on the spot, nothing in a microwave. I was about to head to the nearby casino for a concert about to happen so a part of me was like "where's my food?" Nonetheless, once my meal got to me, I was happy. Most of the employees looked as if they were high school or college kids and their attitudes were quite nice. The other customers were nice with everyone. I plan on coming back to try something else on the menu so if you plan on stopping in, keep in mind your order may take awhile but once it reaches you, you will not be disappointed. read more

Delicious food. All of the burgers and the shakes are delicious. My only complaints are 1) the drive thru takes a long time. Like 15-20 minutes. At the same time, I can't blame them- they're not McDonald's and they cook their food to order. Just be aware of this. 2) The owner can be seen disciplining the employees in front of the customers, which really puts me off. However, the employees and owner all give amazing customer service and the order is ready when they say it will be. I miss living down the block and waddling my formerly pregnant self here for some quick eats. read more

If for some reason, you should ever find yourself in Selah, Washington, direct part of your attention to the left side of North 1st Street. Just after you pass the Selah Civic Center, there sits King's Row, the quinessential Mom and Pop's burger joint. From the drive-thru windows (where you can even walk up to the side windows and order) to the local school sports team pictures lined up on the back-wall, this place is a down-home, home-grown restaurant with great food and great service. Many of the employees are after-school/summer hires, another tradition that's been carried down for years. The food here is top notch, offering mouth-watering hamburgers (to include King Row's own Garbage Burger), fries, tater tots, sandwiches, etc. They also offer milk shakes, ice cream, and flavored soft drinks (Cherry Pepsi was one of my staples growing up). For your kids, they offer a junior menu as well. As has been stated in previous reviews, the drive-thru has a substantial wait time, usually 10-15 minutes, but potentially longer, especially during lunch and dinner (5 PM). But the food is cooked when you order, and will be worth your wait. One of the places I miss the most from back home, King's Row has been a staple in my hometown for as long as I've been alive. There is a loyal following here, one that extends a few generations. And should you find yourself in Selah one day, you owe it to yourself to stop in! read more

Sad to say the masks are not worn at this establishment with the cook and prep cook and the you g man bagging the food had a mask but no coverage of mouth nor nose only his chin. Very very disappointed. We asked why and they said COVID 19 cannot be spread thru food and that the temperature of cook line is very hot. Fact they are seating it is so hot. Best burgers in the greater Yakima area, hands down, and I don't think it's even that competitive. The Garbage burger packs ham, bacon, and cheese in addition to the patty (I like to get a second patty if I'm feeling ambitious) on a steamed bun, and it's a work of art. The fries are crispy, and the fry sauce is fantastic. Be sure to ask for extra sauce if you're getting it to go. First, the pros of Kings Row. They have good burgers and they employ Selah School young adults. Now, the con. Their customer service is seriously lacking. Spent 10 minutes in the drive through line in front of the intercom waiting for my order to be taken. No one came on so I thought it was broken. The line finally moves up and now I'm in front of the drive through window. Waited another 10 minutes for my order to be taken. No one came to the window, although, about 4 people passed by but no one bothered to even make eye contact with me. I felt invisible. Instead of getting upset at school age kids, I drove to Burger Ranch. Take away: Students at Kings Row, when you are out in the world employed by corporations, this type of customer service won't be tolerated, you won't have jobs. Don't wait for an adult to tell you what to do, take the initiative to do a good job. read more

If you are passing through it is definitely worth stopping at. They have amazing food here and it may be one of the best burger places in the Yakima area. They have a steak sandwich that is amazing. I grew up and have been eating at Kings Row literally my whole life and at this point I will legitimately NEVER eat here again. I called in an order and said it would take 20 minutes. I arrived at 22 minutes from the time I had called it in. It was busy but not that busy by any stretch. There was 6-7 employees in there. I then waited and asked and at one point the kid said it was 5 more minutes. 12 minutes later, a car that has arrived in the drive thru was brought out their food! I then was PISSED and demanded my money back and a manager. He came over, no apology or anything and I told him that that car got their food prior to me, (I know what they ordered as I was outside and heard what they ordered) so I know it was NOT just a little order that could have gone before mine. The manger said they had a call in order too. So he lied. He grabbed my money, dropped it in my hand and walked away! No apology, nothing. This was one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant in 51 years. I am so disappointed and I would hope that the owners would recognize this and do something about your staff. There was 2 other patrons that were sitting out there that one finally went to window and asked about his food. They brought it to him and he asked if it had been sitting and the guy said no it just came out but then someone inside said, we called Ken earlier. No one came. So again, one lied. What the heck? And I was sitting beside him for 20 minutes and so I don't know if they called out the other window only but the one close to car order line they did not call his name. Whoever you had working at 3:20-4:10 suck and need to be trained better. Also, with Covid, you have all those employees crammed in such a small area with no mask. ?? Sorry that one of my absolute favorite places to go I won't give another dime to unless I hear things have improved. Also, look at what time I was charged and why time he took the money out of register. And then add the time I called (which I have the call log at 3:20 on my phone).
