Pool opening a complete disaster this year. Spent less than 10 minutes at the house and it really shows. The pool was as green as a pond from the winter. kings did the closing , I did find a hole in the cover but is seems like the water was not treated in any way... hmmm ... I guess a dumb guy like me expects some water treatment for over $300 in fees. The opening ... I left , shock , chlorine and DE earth for the filter. I go to work and my wife calls asking how she should add the shock. My pool is green, the shock is sitting on the deck and I am paying you to open my pool, can you at least ask my wife if you can add it ? Or better yet, just add it, I clearly left it for that purpose. When I arrived home, I saw the pump trickling water and zero flow coming out of the jet. I thought maybe the algae had backed up the filter already so I primed the pump and that helped a little but it was still not filling all the way up. I reached down and tested the handles on the basket and they were barely tightened !!! Give me a break. I tightened them and that solved the issue for a while. I came back an hour later and the pressure was spinning way to high , no flow from jet and now water dripping all out the top of the filter, screws not tightened there properly either. Since the pressure is increasing so quickly I am pretty sure the DE was not added or added improperly. Lastly, he did hook up my chlorine distributor and he even filled it with tabs that I left but he left it in the off position. Today I am left with the task of learning how to do this myself. I left a bag of DE and it looks untouched. The screws are not tightened properly. The pressure rises as you watch, leave for vacation on Thursday. We also bought a new liner from them last year. There lead worker is not a nice person at all but they did a good job. Did not win us any points on openings and closings though, there lead guy just doesn't seem to like us. I'm going to just take care of it myself, it's an expensive service and I am really upset over the simple stuff not being done with any type of professionalism and their workers being rude and uncommunicative . To recap my grievance's , no talk or explanation on why it was so green. In other years it has been perfect, not every year but nothing like this. No 2 minute chat about anything , did not add shock or ask if he could , did not turn on chlorine dispenser, did not tighten the screws properly on the filter or even bother to twist the handles on the basket all the way and did not add any DE. I'm not even sure how much to add but I'll let my boss know I'll be late today while I figure it out .... Hope he doesn't mind. Just very confused and upset with Kings. Just got off the phone with Mike, he stands behind his workers but was completely indifferent to my complaints. Blamed me for filling form out wrong and did zero to address the poor job and bad attitude. It's not worth $250 dollars to half tighten a few screws and throw a few scoops of DE in the general direction of the skimmer. Actually his indifference to my complaints just made it worse. Really bad bad customer service, he blamed it on to many customers lol. Well he has one less one to worry about, no big deal obviously they don't care about their customers. read more

If you are looking to support a local small business, this isn't the one. We called in December 2023 to get on their schedule to open our pool for this Spring, it is now mid June 2024 and we have yet to have our pool be serviced. Last week, my daughter called to see when they were planning on coming, considering it's been so long since we've heard anything. The woman on the phone was extremely rude and nasty. She basically said they service big money customers before anyone else. My daughter then asked if there was any discount to be given considering we're nearly halfway through pool season and the woman laughed and continued to be nasty to her. so even though we have planned extremely ahead, we continue to get bumped down the list. This does not sound like a fair way to treat your customers. At this point, we may have 2 1/2 good months to use our pool. I understand this is a seasonal business and I am sure they are busy, however, how are you supposed to plan more ahead than December for the summer? This is not a way to do business. I will never use this company again and will make sure all of our friends know so they stop using them as well. Extremely disappointed read more

Had a couple of issues getting started but after talking with Mike got them straightened out and got started replacing the liner on Wednesday. They were great people to work with and we were swimming by the weekend. I will use them again read more

The staff at King's Pool & Spa has been nothing but wonderful since we bought a house with a pool 3 years ago. I can't say enough good things about them. I am a fairly new but loyal customer. Last spring I bought a home that had been empty for over a year with a large inground pool. The pool hadn't been taken care of for over a year. Needless to say it needed a lot of work. I had never owned a pool before and didn't know where to start. Mike came out and showed me how to run the filter/pump, how to treat the water, how to vacuum the bottom and clean the liner, etc. He was patient and kind, answering all my questions, knowing a was a novice. Also the guys and ladies at the store were very kind, knowledgeable and helpful every time I called. Other issues arose during the summer--needed a new pump, needed water added, needed a solar cover, etc. They helped me with every issue. We enjoyed the pool all summer and in the early fall Mike and crew installed a new liner, and closed the pool for the winter. We just opened the pool this week for the year and everything is perfect! They are very experienced and helpful. I highly recommend King's Pool & Spa. read more

These people are the worst! They messed up the appointment time, for a business that deals in customer service - you would think they would care... they don't. Our appointment was at 8:00 AM, I waited until 9:00 AM before calling and of course, no-one answered. Finally, we received a call back approximately 10:15 AM with a woman stating that they messed up the appointment times and that they wouldn't be here for another hour at least! When I asked if they were going to make an effort to compensate for the inconvenience by providing a discount or coming on another day that was convenient for us, she flat out said NO. That was it. When I told her that was not the way to build customer loyalty and that we likely would not use their service again with customer service like this, she said that she was going to CANCEL our appointment and that no-one was going to come. I wasted 3 hours this morning waiting for this SHAM company to come close the pool and they never showed - then CANCELLED! Unbelievable that a place like this is able to stay in business. If you're thinking about using them - DON'T DON'T DON'T. They will burn you. read more

So at first it took a week to get a call back on some pool service. Understandably it is the busy season, but atleast call and say " Hey I am on other jobs for the next week I will call you as soon as I can come out". So got the call guy came out (and when he arrived, no introduction, no hello he just walked straight past me and headed to the back of the house while i was sitting on the porch) He found that the pump housing was cracked (5mins diagnosis). They had one in stock at the store close by. He went to get it came back, installed it (30mins). Then the bill came. Got charged 1hr and 20mins which was fine by me, but the rate was $127.70/ hr! Holy F*&^. Then the pump housing was marked up by them at 72%! Now I understand you need to make money for stocking items, but that is ridiculous. Maybe 25% markup would have been OK. If I would have spent another $120 bucks I could have bought a whole brand new pump! The only reason i gave two stars instead of 1 was that both times i went into the store front they seemed decent, But as far as their field service is concerned that is a big thumbs down. read more
