Dr. Reimer is awesome. He's more conservative when it comes to pain management. I'm pretty sure if I would've went somewhere else, they would've suggested surgery for my back by now. The waiting room is a bit cramped & the whole building is a bit outdated. There's only 1 elevator for the whole building, so if you're able take the stairs. The office is on the second floor. I never experienced a long wait time, even when I show up late to my appointment. I hate calling because the women who answer the phone can be kind of rude. I would suggest taking a cab or having someone else drive because parking over here is pretty much nonexistent. read more

I waited for our second follow up visit to post a review hoping what I experienced on the first was just a rare case but I'm sorry to say it wasn't. The waiting room is old and out dated. On the first visit it was so hot and they had one box fan sitting on a floor. The wait was over an hour. On the second visit, over two weeks later they had added a second box fan...no air conditioning on both days and each day was over 95 degrees outside. A large room with no windows and a lot of people. This time the wait was even longer and even thou they have over 35 chairs for people waiting they wasn't one seat available. The person I went with and myself had to sit on a bench outside in the hallway jumping up every time someone announced a name. This is a highly reviewed orthopedic, I think not. There was only two doctors there...talk about overbooking. Once you get inside all they do is rush you out to go to something called checkout. The women at checkout are very nice! I visited the imaging center twice for mri of my lumbar spine , i found the technicians who run the mri itself very competent and professional. The problem at this facility is the management of the office ! I requested a copy of both mri To take with me for another opinion as my pain has gotten worse. I was told the images would be put on one cd and it would cost $25 ! It is a crazy price for one cd but ok. I picked it up and went to a specialist . Actually only one image was on the disc and I could not get a full and complete opinion as the most recent mri was missing! I have to return again to show the Dr. the second MRI. I was very upset by this as im dealing with Pain! I called kings highway , they argued with me that both images are on the disc! Ridiculous! The manager told me i must return the disc so they can prove that both images are there! I spoke with Donna the manager who told me to be quiet and listen to her !! She was rude and has no idea how to talk to patients! I wound up bringing the disc in where they kept me waiting to search the disc for the missing MRI , which wasn't there! No apology and more rude comments! I was truly inconvenienced and mistreated especially when dealing with pain! Where is empathy and kindness especially working in a health care office! This review is only on the imaging center itself not the Orthopedic Drs , who I happen to think highly of. Find a more professional and patient friendly facility to have your diagnostics done. read more

The doctors are really great but I won't be returning because of the horrible office staff. Unprofessional, rude, and demeaning are just a few words I can use to describe my experiences when dealing with the office staff. Trying to call is nearly impossible, and almost everyone speaks down to you. Forget trying to get documents filled out in a timely manner, it's a nightmare. This is totally unacceptable behavior for people to have when dealing with the public, let alone people that are ill. The office needs to be restaffed with people that actually want to do their job and care about the patients. What a disgrace to Prohealth & the wonderful doctors here. It was my first time today there and I had 2 appointments with 2 different doctors. I noticed my first appointment was running 40 mins late so I asked nicely the front desk lady (brownish/marron curly hair) if it will effect my 2nd appointment. She didn't really answer my question but instead had a super attitude with me as if I attacked her or something. I replied that I was only asking a question and she snapped back at me "well that's your answer". She only explained to me that no one is cutting me and some issue with the doctors which I asked her to clarify what she meant but she didn't and instead raised her voice. It was humiliating. I explained again that I only was curious about the 2nd appointment (not to be late). I didn't complain at all about them being late! It was only a simple question. She continued to snap at me and said I was a problem since I got there! It was not clear what problem. I only spoke to her before to give her my paper work and I forgot to fill out the back. She had an attitude about my mistake and raised her voice asking me about my work history (the questions on the back). I was embarrassed because I don't work. Everyone can hear her. I didn't need her to yell it out, this info is private. But I didn't even say anything about it. So I have no idea what "problem" she claims I had but it definitely seemed she had a problem with me and not just me but with others too. She took her stress out on me though and I ended up near tears. I already came there for bad news on my injuries. And I ended up waiting up to 2 hours! And she was the one that asked for a manager for me. Was she telling on me!? The manager seemed to have understood me but I hope she will talk to the desk lady to get her to calm down when she talks to people and how to be appropriate and professional. Then...the staff lost my documents. I had to keep asking different assistants for my mri and X-ray info that I came to my appointment with and they misplaced it. Plus they ignored me when I asked for them to give it back to me and each staff member had their own excuse not to help me. It took time to get all of my things together. What if I didn't ask for them and ended up going home without my documents! Ridiculous! Plus it was super chaotic in there! So many people had issues of a late appointment and were being ignored by staff and I saw some were also yelled at. A lot of handicapped elderly people that at times didn't have a chair to sit in because of too many people with late appointments still waiting. So wrong! Also what's with that place! It's so messy and the hallway to the doctor is confusing as there are random open offices you walk through with staff everywhere freaking out about something. What a mess! I wasn't even sure which room was the bathroom. The place is run down. The main entrance did not have a sign to explain where the office was located (on the 2nd floor through a long hallway past other offices). Did not look like a doctor's facility. However, in no way at all does this review reflect the doctors that helped me that were completely professional, helpful, and respectful. However, they should perhaps get the staff to organize better and the staff really needs to work on people skills, respect, and communication. I also did not like that Dr.Simon had me redo x-rays. I've been coming to Kings Highway Orthopedic Associates for years. They have the best Orthopedic Doctors, in my opinion. All you have to remember is to have patience when you come here. The doctors give each patient their undivided attention...therefore, the wait may be a bit long. It's not the staff's fault..I recently injured my ankle and saw Dr. Simon.. All I can say is..he's great.. Dr. Simon explains, in detail, your injury and the various treatments..such as surgery or PT... GROSS NEGLIGENCE resulting in a DEFORMITY. My mother came to see dr. Soifer to get a cast for a finger that had a minor fracture and no displacement. Several weeks later, after the cast was taken of, the finger was crooked and deformed. At that point doctor's response was to offer surgery. Handed in paperwork that I need to go back to work over 2 weeks ago and still not completed. I knew it will take them a long time to fill out form, I made sure to fax them in at least a week and a half in advance. When I told the person in charge of filling out forms that I could lose my job if I don't have the forms done, she basically told me too bad. This isn't the first time this happened, every time I hand them forms to fill it's always like pulling teeth. Unacceptable service that costs $10 a page. read more

Dr. Soifer is a great doctor, but he works at the wrong office!!! The staff is unhelpful, rude, lazy, and they LIE like they get a check for it!!!! I was told that I need services, which required authorization from my insurance company. Dr. Soifer called me personally to tell me who to reach out to in order to get this done. I did exactly as I was instructed to do. when two weeks passed I decided to call my insurance company myself, just to see what obtaining authorization entails. So, it is basically finding out if the insurance company will pay for the treatments/services that a patient needs. I gave them the information, and 15 minutes later I knew that I was INDEED covered for the treatments!! 15 MINUTES WAS ALL THE TIME THAT IT TOOK ME!!! It has been ONE MONTH, and I have YET to receive a call from "The person who handles authorizations!!" When i called back a few minutes ago, they gave me the run around... translation... THEY LIED!!! Told me that authorizations take 3-weeks and longer. i wish that I could give ZERO STARS!! read more

Dr. Jaspreet Sekhon is the fourth and last orthopedic doctor I went to for help with shoulder pain in both shoulders. I knew about a tear in my right shoulder from an old injury but didn't know what was going on with the left. The first doctor I went to never even suggested surgery for the right, even though I had a complete tear. The second doctor I went to hooked me up to an EMG machine for nerve damage and sent me home with a prescription for an anti-inflammatory. They never even took an X-ray. The third doctor sent me for MRI's on both my shoulders and found I had a complete tear in my left shoulder and the right shoulder got significantly worse from the first MRI. This doctor painted a pretty bleak picture of how it is probably too late to do anything with the right shoulder and said I should have had surgery when it first happened. As far as the left shoulder, he thought I should see a shoulder specialist and see if it is salvageable. This is where Dr. Jaspreet Sekhon comes in. I met with him and after he read my MRI reports the new ones and the old one, he immediately walked over to my right shoulder and talked about how he was going to fix it. He explained thoroughly what was involved, how long the healing would be, and what I should expect from it. He was very confident and had no reservations or hesitations about doing the repair. One month later I had the surgery and because of his gifted talent and surgical skill, it was a total success. On a more personal level, he is very approachable for questions and in fact encourages it. I am forever grateful to Dr. Sekhon for giving me back my right arm when no other doctor would or could. I strongly recommend anyone who has any orthopedic issues to seek this doctor out first because you won't have to keep searching and suffer with pain any longer. read more
