What I loved about these guys is that they have found a way to take on a small project. It seems these days that contractors only want "the big job". I had a smaller project repairing a big hole in my drywall after an electrical project and they were willing to take it on. The finish was left great so that I could do painting, as I had planned, and matched the surface of the surrounding area. I would definitely call King's Drywall back for small OR bigger projects in the future. Sorry it took me so long to create a review, but I kind of lost track of this. :) My wife and I bought a house that was built in '76 back in October 2013. Although the house was in great shape, and well maintained, it was a 35+ year old house. First of all, it had popcorn ceilings throughout. It also had one of the bedrooms that had a water leak from the roof that had been fixed and patched by the homeowners that wasn't quite right. Last but not least, there were numerous imperfections on the walls throughout. My wife and I took it upon ourselves to remove all of the popcorn from the ceilings. It was a very tedious task, but we didn't want to pay for someone to do it. Stephen and his crew came through and patched holes in the walls, repaired the poorly owner-replaced ceiling drywall in the bedroom, smoothed out lots of walls and corners. They also textured everything including the ceiling. They were able to get us scheduled quickly (before we had already planned to get our new carpets installed even), and get the job done on time. We were very impressed with how quickly they got stuff done. Everyone we met with was very professional, and a treat to work with. Even at one point where there was a misunderstanding about a portion of work that was requested, Stephen made it right immediately, and both of us were happy. I would highly recommend them, and I will be using them again for any of our future projects we have planned. read more

All of the companies that have worked on my house this past year, King's drywall was the best. The work was done when they said they would do it and it was done correctly the first time, other than a small issue with overspray that the owner promptly took care of. My only complaint is that now the the major issues are fixed I'm noticing smaller defects in my drywall I wish I had fixed. If the estimated or worker had pointed them out I would likely have had them fixed . I may thought they were trying upsale me and declined but then I would know that I'm the cheapskate that decided an 90% perfect wall was good enough. read more

We needed a sanding job on a heavily mudded ceiling, but didn't want to rip it out. King's was the only company that suggested a sanding option, others wanted to put up a new ceiling. The process was professional. Installer arrived in a company truck. Nice people for quote and install. We had trouble with the mud drying and the installer (john) came back after the weekend to finish up. Would do further drywall projects with this company. read more

We had water damage from a leak in the chimney chase that penetrated our cathedral ceiling drywall and some cracks due to settling on two walls. King's was very responsive in scheduling an appointment for the estimate. The scope of the work was well explained and the estimate was reasonable for quality work. On the day of the scheduled repair I was contacted 20 minutes before the scheduled time to explain he would be 30 minutes late because of traffic. He arrived before the new appointment time, but I appreciated the courtesy. The work was completed as scheduled. Chris was very courteous, respectful of our home by laying plastic on floors and exposed furniture. Upon completion of the work he left the work area as clean as when he arrived. The repairs left the areas as good as new, not an easy task. The work done was outstanding, ready to prime and paint. read more

We hired King's Drywall Repair to do several small patches, but the main project we hired them for was to finish our master bathroom ceiling. They were not the lowest price, but my husband felt the most comfortable with them. Their schedule didn't allow them to come out for a few weeks so we had to move forward with the tiling prior to the drywalling and texturing of the ceiling. This is a bathroom we saved for three years to be able to remodel and we spent a lot of money on beautiful marble tile throughout the bathroom and were thrilled with the outcome. Four weeks after the tiling was complete, Erik came out to do the drywalling. He mudded everything and then I think on the second or third day sprayed the texture on the ceiling. We were not home when he completed this. Upon returning home, we went into our master bathroom and there was a large stain on our brand new marble floors. We contacted King's Drywall and the office manager, Hailey, asked us to text pictures. A few minutes later, she texted back "there wouldn't have been anything [Erik] could have done to cause that. He sealed everything off and all of our products are white. So sorry I couldn't help more. I hope you guys figure it out." Let's recap: perfect tile floors. Erik textures ceiling. Stained floors. There was no question he was the one who caused it as NO ONE else had been in the bathroom. We went back and forth like this for TWO MONTHS until this morning when the owner, Steve, finally returned my call and told me "It is not our problem. We will not fix it." He told me that it is the tile installer's problem and the stain is caused by water trapped below the tile. When I explained to him that we have NEVER used the shower and the only time water was ever run in there was to test the plumbing (a whole month prior to the drywalling), Steve said the water must have taken that long to rise to the surface. I asked him if he thought it was coincidence that the water just happened to rise to the surface, 4 weeks after the water was run, on the same day his drywall installer textured. He said yes. I mean how stupid is he thinking we are? Steve accused our tile installer of lying, was rude to me, and refused to even acknowledge his companies involvement in the staining of the tile. I will never recommend this company nor will I ever use them again. I was repeatedly told by the office manager "we are just a small family run business" as though I should not ask them to fix their mistake because of this. I have great appreciation for small family run businesses and love to support them but that is not an excuse you can hide behind for not taking care of your customers. Deeply disappointed in this company and devastated over the damage done to tile that was so long saved for and so carefully chosen. read more

We hired King's Drywall to hang Sheetrock and tape/mud our basement. It's a very large space and had lots of corners and nooks. They were incredibly quick, clean and professional. One team came to hang the drywall. A second team came to do the taping/mudding. Erik was lead of the taping/mudding and was the nicest guy. I'm 7 months pregnant with a very active almost 2 year old. He was courteous and warm to both my son and friendly lab. Cleaned up when they were done. I couldn't recommend them enough. read more

I am very pleased with the work that Steve did on two drywall patches. After numerous attempts to match the texturing myself, it became clear that this is best left to the professionals. The texture is nicely matched, and Steve noticed and repaired a couple of other small spots as well at no extra cost. All the areas where he worked were completely cleaned up when he was done. I am extremely happy with the work Kings did for us. We added an interior partition wall, so we had them drywall/tape/mud/prime it. They also repaired some holes in the ceiling left from running electrical for new can lights in another room. The work was spread over 3 days, and being a smaller project I was grateful they were able to squeeze me in between their larger jobs. I supplied my own drywall, and on day 1, their hanger Jasen was able to save me a sheet by finding a way to cut the others more efficiently than I'd planned for. On day 2, their taper/mudder Eric touched up some spots in our room that I hadn't even asked for! He just saw them and took care of it. On day 3, Chris and Sam came to do the final patching and sanding. They were SO careful! They covered everything with plastic, including the stairs and hall leading to the room with the work. They matched our existing texture perfectly and cleaned up everything before they left. At every step of the way, Hailey stayed in constant communication through phone and email. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. I will definitely use them again and will not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and neighbors. read more

Jon P came out to do several sizable patches for us in several areas of the house and we would recommend his work and use him again if we ever needed drywall. He was timely and professional. He did a great job covering up our furnishings, cabinets, carpet, and other areas he thought might become covered with drywall/dust. He cleaned up after himself. He even wiped off random spots where drywall had fallen, like on the kitchen garbage can. He did what they said they would do and within the allotted time frame. We are very happy with his work. The company does not do painting, but for our walls, you can barely notice the difference between the original walls and where Jon did the patches. My only constructive criticism is that the office staff could be a bit more communicative regarding confirming appointment days and times. I felt that I had to take the initiative to confirm appointments, whereas I feel that most companies these days will make the effort to confirm appointments a couple of days or a day before. read more
