Immediately, a staff member greeted me and introduced me to a group of people, encouraging me to exchange information with them. I was a bit too shy to join in that night, but I really appreciated the effort. You gotta love a place that goes that far to make a "noob" feel included. During a more recent visit without all the tables of people, it's still a cozy store with a warm and inviting environment. Upon walking in, I could tell the staff genuinely enjoyed being there. As I was browsing, a staff member told me about their puzzle trade. For a few bucks, you can trade the old puzzles you own with a selection of their used puzzles. I'll definitely be making the most of this deal. This is an Oakland gem that I can't recommend enough. If you're looking for a kind and welcoming community, this is a great one. They said they was told to tell me to contact Dennis the owner of DKing galleries,if he couldn't find them, they can't be found, so I messaged Dennis a few times and finally he told me to give him a call that he had something, so when I called he told me he had the ones I was looking for in front of him, later finding out, he had them in a personal stash and had gotthem from friends years ago. Now I did what many people would never do, I wired the money to someone I didn't know or ever met. Four days later I received 2 posters that looked like they had ever seen the light of day, and they were from July 12 1968. I brought the chair in and was able to pick it up in 2-3 weeks' time. The quality was excellent and the price reasonable. In June of 2025 another Henredon chair needed re-caning. This time I was not so fortunate. I finally got the chair back. Again, the work was excellent and the price reasonable, but it took them SIX MONTHS to finish the job. In the interim yet another chair needed re-caning. I took it elsewhere. I hate to write this as everyone there is so nice. But I feel that future customers should be forewarned.
