They came a hour later and didn't have a battery to replace the old one After a jump while the car was running she drove to auto zone and the guy puts in the battery for her. Not a good idea. The guy from auto zone put the old battery on top of the accelerator wire and broke a part. I called Jeff at 7:30 am and told me to tell her to go straight over and he would help her. My daughter could barely drive with the accelerator not working properly. But she got the car to Jeff and he found out the problem right away and fixed it for $10.00 I should have just gone to Mt Hope for the battery. I was glad to know they have a place to service the car when in need and before they make the 5 drive home they will take it to MT Hope for service.

My exhaust was the first thing I've had done and I'm scheduled to get my struts and breaks fixed a little later! I just want to start off with how much they are working with me to get these things done. I'm not rich at all and if I had a stable job I would have loved to take them up on there offer with the credit options. But luckily, they know how to prioritize what needs fixing and scheduled me out for when I'll have the money to have those things fixed. Secondly, I want to point out how fast they got the job done! Julie had told me to bring it in so that they could diagnose the problem for me and that they could schedule me next week if I decided to get it fixed with them. Well, sure enough I bought it in on Friday morning, that same morning they were able to tell me what was wrong and the same day they ordered the parts and got it fixed! I literally got my car back at 3pm and genuinely did not expect that! I saw a sign in their shop and it said that they value their time, well I guess they also value everyone else's time too! I don't want to get into the free things that they did for me because I don't want anyone trying to come rip these lovely people off, but I do want to say the things that they did for me, that they had every right to charge me for, has let me know that I'm dealing with some really good people and has made this place my go-to spot! These are good hard working people who respects the customers that comes through their shop, no matter if you have a lot of money or not! The prices are absolutely doable and they don't pressure you if you can't do everything right then in there! Lastly, I just want to point out that I am a single black woman and the reason I bring up my race and gender is because we all know it matters, especially when it comes to mechanics! But Temstad didn't make me feel judged nor taking advantage of whatsoever! They were so welcoming and knowledgeable! Not only did they triple check my car but they explained every decision & priority to me. I really love that they weren't condescending because I don't know a thing about cars. We have been using this mechanic for a couple of years now and have always been happy with Jon and…read morehis work. We own a Kia Soul and a Volkswagen EOS. Jon has a knack for knowing what's up with our vehicles off the smallest clue which is pretty cool. My Kia had an ongoing issue that stumped a few other mechanics and he immediately knew what the issue was and fixed it. He's also proven to be honest with what our vehicles need and what maintenance/repairs can wait. Prices are very fair and Jon will go through an itemized list of every cost of repair over the phone with you before doing any work. Our vehicles are always done on time and a loaner is provided when needed which is convenient. Him and his staff are also super nice and personable - always a plus I absolutely recommend this mechanic.

He was able to look at my car that day & diagnose it & give me an estimate within an hour. Cool, so I ok'd the work. He wanted to wait until he got a check so it took me 1 week to get him a check for over $900. About a week and a half after that I had a bit of difficulty getting ahold of Jon so get an update on my car but I did eventually get ahold of him and he gave me an estimate for when my car would be ready. Those days passed & I didn't get my car back when he said I'd have it back by. 3 weeks after he got my car & 2 weeks after he was basically paid in full I told him if my car was not done that day then I wanted to cancel the oil change & wiper blades replacement (he didn't cancel it & charged me more than what he told me). He offered me a loaner vehicle so I waked 2 miles to pick up the loaner vehicle & it was a nice gesture but the van was pretty dirty even having rubbish in it & the gas light was already on like it was past E. So then I finally got a call 4 weeks & 4 days after he got my vehicle & 3 weeks after he was paid over $900 saying my car was ready. I gave him his van back with more gas then he gave me. My driver side door had a big scuff on it which he wiped off with a rag. He charged me for the oil change & wiper blades that I told him I was canceling $57. He told me the wiper blades were $8 each but charged me $10.99 each. And on the way home I got grease all over my hands because he didn't bother wiping off the steering wheel. I asked him why it took so long & he said he wasn't busy when he got my car but then got slammed after he was basically paid in full. He was paid & had my car for 3 more weeks after being paid over $900 so I guess paying in advance doesn't make it a priority. Other than that Jon seems like a nice guy but idk if I'd use him again. Their motto is "home if the honest mechanic" but I didn't find him to be upfront about it having to take so long or why it took so long & I got no apology for it taking more than 4 weeks or no thank you for my patience. Honestly I think he messed something up & it took him a lot more time to fix his mistake but who knows. What I do know is I've never had a mechanic hold my car for 1 week let alone 4 freaking weeks! Seriously 4 weeks & 4 days... that's almost 5 weeks!
