Having moved to this area of Bristol 6 months ago I have been yet to find something with the quirky, alternative edge often found on my beloved Gloucester road, until now! I think the Kingfisher may have done it!!
The bunting and fairy lights drew my attention to it a while ago and with a lazy Sunday morning ahead we decided to pay a visit.
I loved the layout, loads of different tables and chairs set up to make some cosy seating areas.
They have some menus on the table but the main breakfast menu was up on a board next to the counter, we perused the menu then ordered at the counter.
The staff were really friendly and agreed to tweak our order, adding extra mushrooms to the bacon sarnie.
We sat on one of the sofas in the window and had a flick through the papers they provided, whilst waiting for our food which was only about 10 minutes.
I had the smoked Salmon, cream cheese and cucumber bagel and my husband had a bacon sandwich with mushrooms.
My bagel was really good, just the right amount of everything, there was a kind of sweet coating on the bagel which was really nice albeit a bit different! I am told the bacon sandwich was good too!
With the food and a pot of tea for two it came to just over £8 so it was very reasonable.
I am so glad to find this place, I think I'll be a regular. read more
