Inside there's Japaenese style benches and stools which seems a little out of place here and the last place you want to be social with strangers is when you're about to chow down on a whopping big burger. Cheap, cheerful and with a good selection of vegetarian dishes I can't fault Yoyo burger. It's not fine dining, but it is what it is, and what it is, is tasty, hearty and authentic.

They had all sorts of gourmet options available (ostrich, wild boar, etc) though I just went for a quick burger and fries, being in a rush. The food was okay, though the place itself was a bit surreal, trying to give you the full-on Japanese buger bar experience. I've never been but it seemed authentic enough with a large communal oval table split into individual booth-like eating areas, each of which has its own TV screen pumping out MTV. Despite my initial suspicions it's not a chain either and I definitely intend on going back, though perhaps on my way back from a night out on the beers next time rather than on the way out.

If you're trying to find the place look out for the guys smoking hookers and drinking Turkish coffee (which I highly recommend.) The food is just wonderful. This is a kebab shop, but about as far away as the row of greasy kebab selling places at the bottom of Park Street (Bristol's number one location for a fight on a Saturday night, incidentaly). Good quality meat, not horribly greasy, and excellently seasoned. This is somewhere to go for a meal, not just for a end of the night. Although, whilst the food's restaurant quality, there isn't really anywhere to sit, so it's probably best to order out. Go to the Cedar Express to get a proper kebab rather than something that'll clog your arteries.

The place itself is tiny so we were glad to find an outdoor table while we waited for our order. The boys were happy with their double beef burgers. I had the veggie-based "Legs Akimbo" (miso roasted mushrooms, miso aioli, shoestring fries, chipotle ketchup, cucumber and chili pickles, lettuce, with cheese on a brioche bun). Wow! It was messy to eat -- this is a knife and fork burger --- but really unique and delicious! We also shared some of their amazing fries and my son loved their lemonade. We felt this place was reasonably priced for the area and for what you get. We would definitely go back!

Seriousley though this is a pretty good place to pop for your fish and chip fix, it's got a good reputation that is gaining momentum. It sounds like such a simple thing to make some chips, but to keep up a good standard that everyone expects and keep giving a chip that will taste the same whatever time of day, in whatever month and year is pretty good. I shall swing by a year from now (probably next week to be honest!) and see if the chips still taste as good as I remembered.

The student meals are especially cost effective if you've run out of baked beans or fancy eating out for a change, and for Clifton, the prices for all are very reasonable. The food is great to takeaway too, and they will deliver if you're not up for braving the outdoors.

For fixed prices, you can customise your own sandwiches, baguettes, paninis, toasties, jackets, salads, wraps and rolls with a selection of standard sandwich fillings and sauces, all made freshly to order. As for value, the lunch items are averagely priced, not too expensive, but not too cheap. Whilst this is the only branch in Bristol, with the next nearest in Leicester, there is an abundance of stores in Scotland, so bear this in mind if you find yourself hungry when travelling up north.

The Baguette Express is a welcome addition to East Street's otherwise limited snack shops, and certainly beats Subway in terms of quality.

However, they do not sell any filter coffee, just an Americano which I find quite irritating! The entire place is very nicely designed, with lots of drift wood and beach like decor. Additionally on the back wall there is a huge picture of a tropical beach which is nice to look at! I didn't, however, like the uni sex toilets, although they were clean. The prices are reasonable considering the location. Breakfast is only £1.75 for some beans on toast, and a full English is £4.50. Smoothies are roughly £2.90 and they also do a very nice frozen yogurt for £1.50

Here, I found the colourful backed beach type outdoor chairs made the vibe of this cafe trail out onto the street in front of it, which is a good thing. Walking in, it feels light and airy, with light coloured furniture, and a great Palm Beach type mural at the back of the cafe. A glance at the food, made me surprised that a cafe in the busy center caters alot for a gluten free diet. Every category of food here has a gluten free option. They do sandwiches, paninis, ciabattas and big salads. Their fillings are generous, and one's that I found interesting were brie & pear, roast chicken with vegetables, and a chunky meat feast! Cakes served here are brownies, lemon polenta cake, honeybuns (all these three are gluten free), and more traditional deserts like apple pie and cheesecakes. If you want something sweet after your food that's not a cake, they do freshly made smoothies, frozen yoghurt and ice cream too, where you can choose your toppings. A very breezy relaxing cafe, accentuated by its location right next to the river and that beach mural behind you.
