So I'm not really a cider person but you can't help love this place. If I am drinking a cider, this is exactly what I'm hoping for. A nice variety of seemingly traditional ciders that aren't too sweet or too fussy. Love the frozen cider drinks and the specialty cocktail. Their Kingfish theme is carried tastefully throughout the space with memorabilia, photos, signage and more. It's a great summer (or anytime) destination for Friday night trivia at 7 but they've hosted a few fun events including burlesque and pride gatherings. I gotta say, I love the location of this place. There are so many gems popping up in Harahan and I am loving it! We came here on a chilly middle of the week night and I ordered both the sampler and the hot cider. That hot cider hit the spot! It was warm and had all the cozy feelings a hot toddy should have. I did mention, I wished they had a few more hot drink options but I am really glad I had that one to taste. On to the sampler. I honestly can't remember the tastes of each but I remember there were two with bubbles and I had no idea cider had bubbles! Fun! One was a bit floral. One had a earthy flavor to it. One tasted like cider, nothing much added. And there was one that really dry. I think everyone should try all of them in order to see what they like. The setting is in a giant warehouse and I love that they do special events here and there. The night we went, there was a dog adoption and a percentage of the sales went to the non profit. They have plenty of parking out front. They have a little stage set up on the side for live music. Another bonus here, they sell Parish Beer that is a Lafayette beer that happens to be amazing! They have a few tables inside, picnic table style. They don't have a kitchen, but they sell charcuterie ingredients there for you to put together your own charcuterie plate. Kingfish Cider is a hidden gem. There are tables to sit and drink, board games to play, corn hole, and a ping pong table. I have to admit cider is not my favorite, but there are a variety to choose from. I did not know what to order, but the owner assisted with suggestions and samples. I ended up with a flight and my favorite was the Huey. I will definitely check out Kingfish Cider again and explore the world of cider, cider cocktails, and cider slushies. read more

What a cute place! It's a lot closer than it seems if you live in the uptown area. Love all the open air seating but also all the fans and AC keeping the air constantly moving- very necessary! I appreciate that in addition to all the ciders, they also have 2 kinds of slushies, cider cocktails, and regular draft beer. Met some friends for trivia on a Friday night and it was fun. I can't believe this place was right down the road from me and I didn't know. I love fruity ciders and theirs is amazing. The owner is incredible. They have 4 large vats where they actually make the beer. There's a lot of spaces with cute seating but also standing room. I wouldn't ever hesitate to book a private party here. They specialize in cider but they have a few beers on top for other beer drinkers along with cocktails made with cider as ingredient. Soon they'll be making strawberry cider and judging from their blueberry, it will be amazing. You can order flights of all the ciders. The others are more plain but there's a variety. There's food options for snacks like a cheese plate from St. James Cheese. It is in an undeveloped area so you may have to look harder than you think to find it. read more

This is a great little place! In addition to trying a flight of delicious ciders, my husband and I also tried both slushie offerings. They were both so good. One was sweet and mild, the other like a mellow margarita. The atmosphere was relaxed and we felt comfortable just hanging out. I would definitely come back! read more

What a great spot! I love cider and really enjoyed the tasting flight of their four ciders - Prohibition is my favorite. They have mixed drinks as well as a great, fun atmosphere. There is a gorgeous long bar and plenty of table seating inside with standing space in their converted warehouse decorated with one of a kind reclaimed antiques along with picnic tables outside overlooking gorgeous murals. They really thought this look through and it shows. Thumbs up! They're dog friendly so we brought along our two leashed pups, and hung out in the corner enjoying our cheese plate (buy the cheese and crackers all a la carte - it was great!). There were people meeting up to chat and others sitting at the tables playing games. Very low key, and people tend to hang for a while, but it wasn't overly crowded (probably because people just don't know how awesome they are... just wait). The drink prices are super reasonable, too, to sit here for a while without feeling like you're racking up a huge bill. Overall amazing space with great service, products, and atmosphere. Parking can be tight in the small parking lot, but there's street parking - free. Can't wait to regularly come back here for the great drinks and get my cider fix. read more

By the time I took the pictures, I was already a little buzzed and forgot to take photos of the drinks. Sorry! For my birthday, I am really glad my friend brought me here. I have a gluten sensitivity, so I have to avoid all sorts of different alcoholic beverages. Cider isn't one of those! The cider of choice, for me, was the Huey Perry. It was sweet and had a slight pear taste to it. My second favorite was the Prohibition. I wasn't too fond of the Blanche, but to each their own. They're a smaller batch brewery, so they will probably be experimenting with flavors a bit, so keep an eye out. I sure will! As my own tradition, I bought a shirt and my friend bought a glass. As they are relatively new, I can't wait to go back and see what changes! Here's to small businesses. read more

Love the atmosphere. Went Saturday 7ish, and we were the only ones there. We shared a flight of 4 very tasty brews. We were to be somewhere but had time to kill, so decided to give this place a try on our way. Prices were a wee rich at $7-$8 for a 12 oz glass, so I wasn't too disappointed that we couldn't stay. But loved everything I tasted. The space is funky chic, made to look old with metal signs and cool pictures hung in a clean and organized warehouse space. Beautiful solid wood tables with wheels to move around and a decent size bar. There was a small menu to purchase charcuterie bites. I heard very faint music in the backgound playing some blues, which was nice, but you barely noticed it. The vibe I got was more of a tasting room and space for private parties. I can see going back with a couple of friends as an occasional day event. But it's not someplace my budget would allow to be a regular. I hope it survives. read more

Driving from DFW to NOLA for a long weekend, we decided to try the new cidery in Jefferson. What a great decision! I tried a flight of their ciders and perries while my wife tried their two slushees. All were awesome! In addition, Kingfish furnishes you a board to make your own cartoucherie platter from the St. James Cheese Co. offerings they have there for purchase. We had a great time trying all! Don't miss the pimento cheese. The staff was helpful and it was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Learned a lot about the Longs of Louisiana. This will be a regular stop on our trips to NOLA. read more
