Although this facility is cleaner than most, it's just as inadequate, incompetent and lacking then any other. We were directly lied to by the in-take administration and promised services that the facility does not and has no intention on providing. You always need to go into directly speak to someone. Forget calling. When you call you are put on hold for always at least 20 minutes waiting before someone answers and it's usually an aide who has no clue as to what is what. I think this may be a tactic though. The dietary staff is also amateurish and unprofessional, inattentive to patients and the food NEVER matches what is on the patient tray. I have seen patients unable to feed themselves literally ignored by the staff and then wheeled back to their rooms without having eaten. PT and OT is a joke and they do the very minimum, the very, very minimum. The activities are also lacking in variety, interest, and planning, completely scattered and disorganized. There are no real activities as the are represented on the activity schedule. Everyone there is expert in passing the blame and flashing a big smile and doing a little jig to give you the impression that your loved ones are in caring, capable hands. THEY ARE NOT! Everyone there lies. They will look you in the eyes and lie directly to your face. It's very much a plantation mentality between the staff and family members with the actual patient being looked over and ignored. It's shameful. If your loved one must be in this facility, make sure that you go in and check on them often, if not you are leaving them at the whim and discretion of aides who are usually more concerned with their phone or laughing and gossiping with each other than they are with caring for your loved one.
