I'm eternally grateful for Mrs.Wendy Adams. She's one of the best teachers I've ever had in my life. She explained everything throughly to me and my classmates. She was very supportive, understanding encouraging and most importantly patient with us as a class. I can speak for everyone in our class that we'll miss her but she'll never be forgotten in our hearts. I cannot rave enough about this place. I thank the staff for making the hardest time in my life the easiest time. My Mom had Pulmonary Fibrosis which in the end takes on the same characteristics as dementia so I was saying good bye for 2 years but it was still so shocking to hear the doctor say it was time and thankfully I had many nurses throughout my journey recommend The Retreat so when the doctor ask how I felt about the Retreat I said yes without having checked it out even online. From the beginning the staff was great answered my questions honestly and quickly. And, also laughed with my family as this is how we all deal with hard times. There was no judgment on how we dealt with this situation. My brothers flew in from out of state and were so impressed as well with all of it. From the entrance to the staff and it all was so great. The after process is also so amazing. Take part in it all if you chose palliative care for your loved one. Last I hope the staff reads these because again I want to say Thank-you for everything making this process so much easier for us read more

Dear Phillip, We can not thank you enough for having the vision and heart to create such a beautiful and compassionate environment for our mother to spend her last days in. After caring for my mother at home and realizing that I had become a caretaker, not a daughter who was scared and just wanted to love her mom and make her feel safe, I reached out to your facility and very quickly realized the blessing it would be. As they were bringing my mother into the building on a stretcher she was looking up at the sunlight Beaming through the windows along the very tall ceilings with beams and kept telling everyone how beautiful this place was and that it look like paradise to her. Several times she called it a mountain retreat and a heavenly mansion ... it warmed my heart and brought happy tears to my eyes to know that she was finally comfortable and felt safe. There are some very special CNA's and nurses here to name a few who really stood out; Amy, Marlene, Savannah, Jason, Dana and Cameron who were very compassionate and went above and beyond. There were days where we were over filled with sadness and needed a shoulder to cry on and Amy, Marlene and Savannah were there willing to console and "love" us. There were others who where kind and sweet, but "Wow" these 6 are truly doing what they are meant to do! It takes a very special person to keep it together and be there for these families what a blessing they were to us! I hope you will continue to build more "Homegoing Retreats" such as this one. There is such a need for the type of facility you have created here. I fully intend to make everyone I know aware of Saad's Hospice Retreat! I actually have another family member at your faculty as I write this letter and Sadly another will be there soon, but the family, like us, is so grateful to you for creating this beautiful place filled with wonderful caring people. Saad Healthcare is a bit of high and low. The people (nurses and support staff) are wonderful. Everyone has been kind and professional. Nursing and physical therapy staff are outstanding. That said, scheduling is horrible! We were assured we could have early weekday/early morning visits with phone calls in the morning no matter when the nurse visits. This has not happened at all. We usually get a call about an hour before the nurse wants to arrive. And we have always been end of the week, late in the day. If schedules back up (and I completely understand that can happen), we have NOT been contacted to let us know this. Last week we were told we were a Friday am appt. We finally got a call Saturday afternoon. We waited 36 hours to have any communication from anyone. I would still recommend the care of Saad Healthcare, but manage your expectations. read more

The Wallace family can not say thank you enough for everything the staff at Saad has done for our family. They were so gentle and caring not only to my grandfather in his last days but to my grandmother who never left his side. They continuously made sure our family was comfortable each day & truly made these process as smooth as possible. Losing a loved one is never easy but knowing that he was as comfortable as possible and had his closest relatives around him brings me so much joy at the same time. He deserved to be cared for in this way and we are so thankful that we were able to properly bid our farewells and spend those very precious moments with him, without worrying about anything else. My grandmother was extremely pleased with the level of service we received and I'd also like to acknowledge the cafeteria staff who were always so accommodating! Very well stocked store and employees are helpful and pleasant. We needed a specific kind of commode and called ahead. The young man checked that they had one and held it for us. We were over an hour away. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately. The commode was exactly what we were looking for. It was worth the drive from Pensacola. This has been one of the worst experiences a family could have experience. On February 2,2022 my daddy came home from the Behavioral center at a local hospital. We contracted SAAD to assist in care for our father a Vietnam vet suffering from PTSD and dementia. We have had the worst time with these people from having us over medicate our father until he was in almost a vegetative state. All we need was something to calm him not to cause him, not to talk, move or even speak. After we decided to lower the medicine dosages, he was Diagnosed with pneumonia. After the nurse practitioner wrote a five day prescription for pneumonia and my father still showed signs of pneumonia they refused to write any additional prescriptions. Trying to talk us into doing a DNR but my father only suffers from high blood pressure other than dementia PTSD. The nurse tried to convince us that he's close to the end of life so we discontinue the services and took my father to the hospital. My father has been admitted and given antibiotics for pneumonia. My father came home from the hospital walking and talking other than dementia. Now he can't even get out of bed!!! Visited him at the hospital today he's up talking as open and alert not like he was when he was under SAAD care. My option if your family members are not really sick just needed assistance for daily living DO NOT CALL THEM THE WILL FILL THEM WITH DRUGS THAT WILL CAUSE YOUR LOVE ONES RO EXPIRE Prematurely! So far I have been receiving highly qualified people come out to see an 86 y/o with dementia and loss of cognitive skills. Ashley RN for admit assessment and Michele for PT assessment. I have been happy with the response and service. Qualified personnel. Other than they call with little advance notice for a visit and am not always available within an hour time frame. Seems like they should have their schedules the day before and give you a 24 hour time frame to visit. I will update as the care proceeds. read more

If you are truly disabled you are out of luck with this company. Staff are incompetent and have no clue what it means to be in a wheelchair and unable to walk. If you cannot transfer on your own to try out the lift chairs you are out of luck. With a zero return policy, they offer no real service to those unable to try out a chair in the store. With a pricetag of over $1500 for one of these chairs its a disgrace they cannot offer a way for those that truly need this a way to help and serve people with disabilities. Try living a day in a chair, maybe it would give some some real insight on the people you claim to serve. read more

For years prior to my retirement I referred patients to Saads. Now, post retirement I have had the misfortune of twice in one year requiring medical devices supplies and services. I found it surprising that when I mentioned Saads either the physicians, therapists, case managers etc always seemed to shun this company. For example, they highly recommended Eleos for a hospital bed walker etc etc, and Infirmary Home Health for home therapy both of which were in fact really responsive and the people knowledgeable and professional. Today I had to get a simple set of support hose (about $14.00) for outpatient wear by my wife and called Saads. On the phone I received instructions that I had to measure her for these but the person on the phone although very pleasant was unsure and constantly checking with someone as to the accuracy of the measurements he was having me made. Then I went over to the office where again the person serving me (although really very nice and polite) was equally unsure as to which size I needed. Unfortunately the person he checked with did little to instill confidence as to whether she really knew whether the size chosen would be correct. I must say they were polite and pleasant but I was hoping they would consult with someone who KNEW for sure what I needed. . Finally I am checking out and the last thing I am told at the stage where I am about to sign the credit slip is that they are of course NOT RETURNABLE!. Hmmmm....Fortunately they did fit but..... I think this is the last time I will visit this office. They really need to improve their interface with the consumer... Wow...all I could think of is the hundreds of patient I referred to this company.... never again...... read more

I have had and my father is currently receiving the services of Saad's Healthcare. I can't say enough about the skilled, compassionate and gentle care of each and everyone of the staff that we have encountered: especially, with my dad, who is battling a progressive disease. SAAD'S Healthcare's home care division has been doing physical therapy and speech therapy with my father-in-law for the past 5 months, who has Parkinson's and dementia. Many of their excellent therapists are trained in the LSVT Big & Loud physical and speech therapy specifically tailored for Parkinson's patients. They have a carefully integrated program than involves regular nurse visits and therapists, and occasionally social workers. They maintained very good communication with Dad's primary doctor, and also handle insurance issues. All the employees are very detailed with keeping up with medicine changes, and any health issues. Many hands really does make work light, and a lot of people looking at your situation is extremely helpful. A number of physical therapists worked with Dad. They were all very respectful, kind, and helpful to him, and each provided us with unique techniques to helping him understand and treat characteristics of his Parkinson's. The speech therapist was very kind, made Dad feel comfortable with her, and worked with him carefully on speech and cognitive issues. It is my impression that these people are both very professional and have a passion for their work. I could not more highly recommend them. read more
