As the primary care Dr they are the only ones who can put the referral in. I disagreed with this statement and it finally came out it's because it was diagnosed in urgent care and they "don't trust urgent cares". How can you not trust other Doctors and radiologists and want me to use up resources in the emergency room Instead? Then to tell me tricare won't pay for it if they do? I know that my child had broken a bone before and we went to urgent care and then called our primary in GA and they put a referral in immediately. Instead wanting me to come in for another appointment with them to go to another facility to get an X-ray (because they don't have X-ray services) then get a referral. I refused as that would bill my insurance twice for the same thing and cause delays in care for my child with a broken bone. The pediatrician put the referral in (reluctantly), But they coded it as routine for ankle swelling and pain. Not as urgent and that there is a fracture. Then called me the next day while I was talking to the insurance company about 30 min after they submitted the referral to let me know it wasn't approved yet. (Pettiness has no place in a pediatric office)

He did not believe I had had surgery for SMAS 40 years ago which saved my life, not the following surgeries.. He was rude, insulted my integrity as a legal assistant with great knowledge of my conditions.. He did not ask to see my scar to examine any current conditions, but rather to prove I had had those SMAS surgeries.. Then he commenced to argue with me that the surgeon ever e even existed.. Still I have the MALS getting worse and causing severe emergency room attacks.. By the grace of God I was sent to a real vascular surgeon Dr. Michael Do.. I will never recommend this doctor to anyone because I have not one good words to say about him.. He is very unethical in his claimed title.. Genuinely face to face unethical..

I got my hard headed husband to the ER after his complaints of SOB and chest pain. The front…read moreregistration was wonderful and the triage nurse came and took him immediately back. They had a code blue almost immediately after we got there so I tried to give grace. My husband was placed on machines and an IV started . They ran cardiac labs and his troponin levels were fine and EKG and he had elevated BP the whole time. He has extensive cardiac family history on both sides . We were discharged after they gave Zofran and morphine saying it wasn't cardiac related it was just high BP. When I questioned this I was told it's high BP not cardiac, I'm not sure when we stopped treating high BP as a cardiac issue but ok. I questioned if there was anything else they could do like possibly CT was told no to go home and take BP meds. At DC my husband was still having active chest pain andhis BP was 155/106. We got in with the cardiologist as recommended and awaiting further testing. So for almost 2 weeks my husband has continued to have chest pain but refuses to go to another ER as the last one did nothing for him.
