I was there 6 months and my experience was terrible. It's more like a rehab than a halfway house…read more The owner stays in your business. You have to be on life 360 at all times or you will be kicked out. She also plays favorites. Most leave within a few months due to her strict rules. You will go to 2 meetings a day 7 days a week and you will be mandated to go to intensive out patient for 5 months. My opinion is that she's in it for the money and every client knows this. She had to address the money hungry issue several times in house meetings while I was there. She charges $800 a month plus what you have to pay for gas. I paid a full months rent at the beginning of a month and on the 6th she discharged me because she went through my medicine when I wasn't there and she wasn't happy that I split my dose up ( my doctor told me to do it that way), so she discharged me on the 7th. She absolutely refused to refund me for the 3 weeks I had paid for in advance. She is all about money. I've had to start a small claims lawsuit against her to hopefully get it back. if I had been anywhere else I would have gotten a refund. Most people there leave as soon as they can because of the owner. I give one star because the staff are good for the most part. There's so much more I could say but I'll leave it at that. Do yourself a favor and steer clear from there. Find you a good Oxford house.
