Really liked this place.
As some of the other reviews allude to, the owner is VERY rough around the edges, but not in an unpleasant way in my personal experience - he just 'calls it as he sees it' and doesn't accept any bullshit. If you're reasonable and respectful then he's a friendly, helpful guy who knows his bikes. If you come off as abrasive or entitled then I imagine the customer service won't be what you're used to :).
Bought a bike back in September for the start of uni, had a couple of things that needed fixing or replacing in that time and they went out of their way to sort it for me. For free, as well, as it was under the warranty, with no attitude like some places I've dealt with. Just helpful friendliness. They also offer general maintenance stuff like refilling your tyres, tightening up the parts etc for free indefinitely, even after the warranty expires. They don't have to do that, and I certainly appreciate it as I don't have the tools to do it myself.
I can't vouch for the selection, as when I bought mine it was during the tail end of the start of term, so there weren't very many left, but in the months I've gone in since it's always seemed pretty packed.
Overall, yeah. I'd encourage you to at least check them out if you're thinking of buying a bike. read more
