I had just bought a bike for 30 pounds and after a few weeks of using it I had my first flat tire. I carried it all the way from Huntington Road to Light Blue Cycle Center because they had good reviews. Once I got there, one of the repair guys, Ben, looked at it and told me that he can't just fix my tube. He will have to put on a totally new tire as the current one has lost most of its profile. Although I was annoyed that I have to pay another 20+ pounds on my 30 pounds bike, Ben seemed nice and I trusted his expertise.
Literally 4 days later that exact wheel stopped turning through the frame, since it was too heavily bent. I went to the nearest bike store and asked them if there was anything I could do about it, especially since I had just bought a new tire and tube for it. He told me that there was nothing to be done, that both wheels were pretty much useless, and that he could get me new wheels but that would just be a rip off and not worth the money. He also asked me why I would spend 20+ pounds on a broken wheel. He told me that this should have been very obvious to anyone who knows a thing or two about bikes. That's when I realized that Ben sold me his products even though he should have probably advised me differently.
