I have just had the most professional experience I have ever had in a bike shop. These guys really…read moreknow what they are talking about, no bullshit they wiill not sell you what they have in stock they will sell you what you really need that will improve your cycling experience and performance no matter what your discipline. Let me explain. I went in on a busy Sunday morning in order to purchase a new frame for racing. Rob the shop owner took a huge amount of time using his considerable experience to put me at ease. His recommendation was to have a Cyfac postural bike fitting. This fitting has proved to be the best money I have ever spent on cycling. The measurements are detailed and it uses algorithms to assess you best cycling position. The appliance of science. Good enough for Thor Hushovd then good enough for me. Rob is now researching the best frame to meet my requirements. In the mean time he set up my old bike according to the new geometry from the measurements. What a revelation I am now more comforatble and producing more power. I felt like Eddi Merckx on my way home the difference was noticeable and almost instant. Before you buy anything go and get a bike fit at Lifecycle. Rob and his team are brilliant. I am really looking forward to seeing what sort of a frame they can come up with. Chapeau Rob and the boys at Lifecycle

I ended up with one of the Light Blue cycles BUT they did not pressure me into anything, as soon as the better weather comes I think I will be back there (just before we moved someone stole both my bike and my husbands!)

I had just bought a bike for 30 pounds and after a few weeks of using it I had my first flat tire…read more I carried it all the way from Huntington Road to Light Blue Cycle Center because they had good reviews. Once I got there, one of the repair guys, Ben, looked at it and told me that he can't just fix my tube. He will have to put on a totally new tire as the current one has lost most of its profile. Although I was annoyed that I have to pay another 20+ pounds on my 30 pounds bike, Ben seemed nice and I trusted his expertise. Literally 4 days later that exact wheel stopped turning through the frame, since it was too heavily bent. I went to the nearest bike store and asked them if there was anything I could do about it, especially since I had just bought a new tire and tube for it. He told me that there was nothing to be done, that both wheels were pretty much useless, and that he could get me new wheels but that would just be a rip off and not worth the money. He also asked me why I would spend 20+ pounds on a broken wheel. He told me that this should have been very obvious to anyone who knows a thing or two about bikes. That's when I realized that Ben sold me his products even though he should have probably advised me differently. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." -- I am not going there again!
