The prices to buy are very reasonable and if you want to hire you can get a bike for the day from about £7 to £10. They also stock a heap of accessories including helmets, tag-a-longs, and wheels etc etc and these can be hired too. Last time I checked you could even get a multi-coloured rickshaw as well and to hire that was about £50 and was used for weddings, events and carnivals. So whether you want to explore Felixstowe for the day or fix a flat tire, Flynnstar Bicycles will take care of you.

These guys really…read moreknow what they are talking about, no bullshit they wiill not sell you what they have in stock they will sell you what you really need that will improve your cycling experience and performance no matter what your discipline. Let me explain. I went in on a busy Sunday morning in order to purchase a new frame for racing. Rob the shop owner took a huge amount of time using his considerable experience to put me at ease. His recommendation was to have a Cyfac postural bike fitting. This fitting has proved to be the best money I have ever spent on cycling. The measurements are detailed and it uses algorithms to assess you best cycling position. The appliance of science. Good enough for Thor Hushovd then good enough for me. Rob is now researching the best frame to meet my requirements. In the mean time he set up my old bike according to the new geometry from the measurements. What a revelation I am now more comforatble and producing more power. I felt like Eddi Merckx on my way home the difference was noticeable and almost instant. Before you buy anything go and get a bike fit at Lifecycle. Rob and his team are brilliant. I am really looking forward to seeing what sort of a frame they can come up with. Chapeau Rob and the boys at Lifecycle

They also have a good selection of accessories such as baskets, lights, locks and helmets for sale, again at good value for money. The guys that run the shop are very knowledgeable about all cycle-related matters. They are happy to install extras (such as lights and locks) without charging extra for the labour and carry out repairs reliably and promptly.

They've fixed so many minor things for free that I've lost count! That's why I don't mind paying out for the bigger things such as annual services and tyre changes because they're that good - and I buy all my accessories from there too! Because I am useless with bikes they always oil the chain for me and pump the tyres up for free, so I make sure to donate some money to the charity box they have in the shop - I think it's a fair exchange!
