Oh no!…read more Contacting several glass shops on Yelp led me to JD Auto Glass, who gave me the best estimate and offered to come to my home to fix it the next day. David showed up on time, but knew at a glance that he wouldn't be able to fix the crack cleanly, as someone had already tried to do so, but had botched the job. Instead of trying to fake it, or upsell me on an immediate replacement of the whole windshield, he advised that, since it was small and out of the driver's line of sight, I should just wait to see if it got worse before taking further action. He then left without charging anything and later sent a quote for a full windshield replacement, should it become necessary. That kind of integrity goes a long way with me, so JD Auto Glass will be my first call when and if I do need that new windshield.

This was not how I planned to start my evening but nothing I can do when a tree attacks your car. I called around and sent messages on Yelp trying to get it fixed that same night, but no luck. However, I decided to hire JJ Windshield Repair and Replace because they provided a decent quote AND offered an OEM windshield. The other businesses didn't mention if it was OEM and I figured I would have to pay more money to get the window tinted after it's fixed. With JJ Windshields, I didn't have to worry about that. Eddie showed up at my house (9 minutes after the 2 hour appointment time which was the only downside) the very next morning. He took one look at all the broken glass and said, "What a mess!"
