Went to Jansen with a cracked windshield. Before starting, he explains what he does and what to expect. With that in mind, there was still minor imperfections when he finished the job, but it is drastically improved and he finished in less time than estimated. He repairs the glass by sealing the crack with resin, preventing it from spreading. Jansen is personable and will keep you up to date on his progress. Great work. I am not sure why so many negative reviews regarding his customer service. I was recommended by a friend that Jansen fix his windshield about 10 years ago. I called Jansen and he asked me to text a picture and text him, which I did. He quoted me $70 to fix the crack and I agreed to meet him at his house. As soon as I arrived, he greeted me with a smile and started the process. Around 20 minutes later, my windshield was complete done and there are no more cracks and the glass was smooth. I take very good care of my 2021 vehicle. While driving down the street a small object hit and chipped my windshield. I was not happy. I don't even have anyone to blame, as I have no idea where that object came from. I wasn't near anyone. Looking at YELP , I found Jansen. He was less than a mile from my home. The repair person is responsive when initially wanting your business, but don't expect him to respond if you have issues down the line with the work. There were a few things that bothered me about about this business, I will list them out. Overall I would not recommend. 1. He quoted one price over the phone after seeing the photos I sent him, but once I got there he said he would need to charge more since the crack was bigger than he thought. I said ok and still paid, but the point is you should stand by a quote you provide. 2. Around a month goes by and the crack got bigger. I texted him and called because he said there was a 1 year warranty. No response from him. I should have just changed my windshield out instead of trying to come here to fix it. read more

Jansen does mobile windshield repairs ONLY, he does not replace windshields. This is actually an advantage because 1, you keep your higher quality OEM windshield, 2, he will FIX your windshield like it was new. I had a half dollar sized star crack, with 4 cracks from the hit (pictured), I had someone TRY to fix it but failed miserably, so that's when I found Jansen. He is super professional, and with the best attitude. My windshield on my brand new 2013 VW CC is back, good as new with no visible cracks. Jansen fixed my crack in less than 20 minutes and cured the resin, I was back on the road and already able to get a car wash. Thank you Jansen! read more

First thing people need to know when looking to have this type of service done is the difference between having a windshield repaired and replaced. I bring this up because while I was doing my research, I found a lot of folks giving companies low star ratings because they did not know the difference between the two. Many companies that replace your windshield, will not provide an OEM windshield as the replacement. If keeping your original windshield is crucial, then call up Jansen right away! Don't let the crack sit there too long. However, keep in mind, he provides repair services...NOT REPLACEMENT. That being said, don't expect your windshield to look brand new when he is done. I think in this line of work, you can't really guarantee anything until it is done. So don't be a jerk when he is done and say something on the lines of "hey, I can still see the crack". Remember, the service offered is REPAIR. Also, if you have financial limits and your comprehensive coverage does not cover this issue, then I would say it's worth paying $80 to repair it, than pay approximately $250 to have it replaced. Jansen gets 5 stars because not only did he save me $$$, but he even came to me. For us folks in LA who know how painful traffic can be, that made the experience even better. read more

I'm satisfied that the crack will probably not grow (as it had started to)--but time will tell. I have say, that I'm disappointed that the crack is still visible--but $80 is better than $300, on a car I expect to sell in 12 months.
