Best birthday decision I've ever made (for him... and me)…read more It was my husband's birthday, and I figured: why celebrate one man when I can turn it into a two-for-one win? So I surprised him with a hot oil body massage for both of us at Karma Spa, and WOW! this place absolutely delivered. From the moment the massage started, it was clear this wasn't your average "nice, relaxing" spa experience. The attention to detail, muscle work, and overall body awareness was next level. Every muscle felt seen. Every knot felt personally offended and promptly dealt with. Huge shout-out to our massage techs Peter and Cindy, true professionals who clearly know the body inside and out. They worked our muscles like seasoned pros, with just the right balance of pressure, precision, and care. Hands down one of the best massages either of us has ever had, and we've been to plenty of spas. This was our first visit, but absolutely not our last. We're already talking about a monthly membership because once you experience this level of massage, there's no going back. Highly, highly recommend... But please don't steal Peter or Cindy. We need them.

That part was amazing. They definitely do a great job with add-ons. Mind you not each package is 185, my sisters was 95 if paid in cash.... That's $465 spent, the young lady that checked all of us in was amazing once again that's why I'm giving two stars...... Now where it all goes down the drain is , from here, the most IMPORTANT part that is why we booked, to enjoy, spend quality time and catch up. my sister and my mom are from South San Diego so we were all looking to catch up, We were excited to get together and spend time together, but this is where it goes wrong. I went in for a facial to a separate room where I had an OK facial, the young lady was good, but I wanted to relax, and in the beginning she kept talking...... I don't care much for her moms free massage or who's playing the Super Bowl ‍ facial was a two out of five.... Second, I then get put in another room where it was not even communicated to me, What to do. The communication here is horrible. My mom agreed! So then I sit down for a 15 min foot detox which was never communicated to me, I was asking do I said do I lay... once again communication barrier horrible. I later than figured out this was the detox, After that, I was brought to my 60 minute body massage which was OK but day after today I am so sore. I did ask for no elbows since she most definitely used elbows...... my biggest concern here is that they have no communication!! I then was taken to the 15 minute sauna, which was probably my favorite part!!! we then headed out we paid. They did ask my mom if she enjoyed her massage. She said yes she tipped..... for me. No one asked if I enjoyed it. I was going to say a few of my concerns why we were not all put together. We wanted to enjoy our massages together. Maybe we should've started with that all in one room but unfortunately, we were all put in different rooms. We never saw each other until the end....... I will definitely not be returning.

I'm used to a massage being a chore, but today I learned it can be both productive and deeply enjoyable. Beth used wonderful aromatherapy throughout the experience, was thorough yet very understanding of my problem areas. The room had the softest sheets, a cozy warm table, and Beth's warm, friendly energy set the scene for a perfect experience. I think my soul left my body on the table for a while there. I've never been so relaxed in my life - completely disassociated and was living in the moment in complete relaxation. Hours later my muscles feel fantastic and I am so grateful. Can't wait to see Beth again and will tell everyone I know about this great location! You get what you pay for. Very nice quaint location with beverage offerings, minimal shopping up front, and a warm welcoming environment from the moment you walk in. I'm so pleased and impressed with my experience and can't wait to return again.

The massage therapist asked me a couple questions, but it was not a super thorough intake (I was a first time client). She did focus where I asked and the pressure was great. Bed and linens were high quality. It's good value, although they did just raise prices, so check their website for the latest. They offered water, but no other amenities. Service was friendly. Cons: You could hear different music from other rooms plus your own, which was distracting. Headrest was so tight that I was in pain, but didn't realize until I turned over. Those are adjustable! Ask to have it adjusted if you are uncomfortable. Oils were supposed to be infused with eucalyptus, but I didn't smell anything. So there wasn't an aromatherapy aspect, which was disappointing. I'm on the fence about coming back.

We were able to snag the last massages of the night. We didn't know we were supposed to book ahead, but we at least got in one service. I also did ear seeding for my lower back, hips, sciatica, and piriformis muscle. I also got chocolate samples, some had mushrooms in them. I also got a sample of red light therapy, which was relaxing, but the wine didn't mix well with it because I got a little nauseous afterwards. Overall this was a great event and I look forward to coming again to their next event!

They have showers and a steam room which weren't working when I went. They also have cute instagram worthy vanities to get ready. If you want to come here, I'd suggest coming really early so you can enjoy all the things like the pool, the food, showers etc, to make it really worth the price. In my opinion, the prenatal massage felt overpriced it started late and then finished early, and just felt rushed. I felt like by the time I was barely relaxing, it ended. The staff was really nice, but it felt insincere like if they were trying to make up for it The worst part was when I was rung up. They had included the tip without my knowledge until I hesitated to pay and she told me she added a 30% tip to each person who took care of me I felt really really pressured even though I was planning to tip regardless. When I asked to change it, things got weird and awkward This interaction really turned me off especially since their website says how tipping is absolutely optional. I did leave feeling a bit refreshed but It just felt SUPER rushed and I left feeling dissatisfied. I felt like for the price I paid, I could've gotten a lot better elsewhere.

My country send me to U-S-and-A to become educate great American alcohol novelists F. Scotts Fitzgerald and Ernie Hemingways. HIGH FIVE! Today I go to village bars to learn drinking American alcohols just like F. Scotts and Ernie Hemingways. I walk in beauty bar name "Sweat Cheeks". At first I am so confuse -- no smell of ox urines, no knife-fight with ugly named Igor, and worst of all... no horse beer tastes like Chernobyl! In my country, beauty bar is place belching mens with fermented-yak-milk cologne smoke beer and drink cigarette. Sometimes marry cousin by accident. Happiness Hour Cocktail is 2 vodkas in same cup. Always Lynyrd Skynyrd jukebox. Next to neon Baywatch pinballs machine. THIS American beauty bar is a place to give skincares, massage, and waxings?!? WAWAWEWA!! I call wife who was reading fairy tale to childrens where all characters execute. She say I need this kind of beauty bar because my skin folds like accordion and I smell like sister after wedding night. Here... woman without mustache use a steam machine... just like secret-police interrogation... and scrub face like it's floor of bus station. Make my face tight, like young goat. Very niice! At home we only clean face with toes-of-camel, potato yogurt, and grandmother bathwater. Next she rips hair from jungle of national forest. I scream like first-time chicken at plucking festival! Lucky she didn't removed Soviet microchip. At end give me sample of lotion made from gypsy tears. Now I look glowing like traditional disco ball in funeral tent {*gives two thumbs up*}! If you want be soft like sheep-after-winter-shave, smooth for romance, and not smelling like a cabbage... come to American beauty bar! Though you may lose dignity, gain rash, and sober like priest on Tuesday... maybe... if lucky... you receive free sample lotion. Greatest country in world! Pro tip: Sweet Cheeks is a hidden gem of a day spa and retail boutique. Came here for wife's birthday and haven't stopped returning! We've had consistently great treatment(s) at a fair price. The skincare line they use is Eminence of which I have received many sample lotions. HIGH FIVE!

The outdoor pool and hot tub are great -- they even have sunscreen there for guests, and poolside service. There's also a co-ed lounge with snacks, tea, and infused water for self-serve. In the locker areas, there is a dry sauna, steam room, and two salt rooms, along with an indoor Roman bath. They have hair dryers for use, as well as disposable hair brushes, mouthwash, lotion. It's such a great value for the money and I always feel so pampered. My favorite part is the Luxe Lounge, which unfortunately was closed for renovations during my last visit. The relaxation chair and calm ambiance of that room is worth the visit alone for me. Excited to see the improvements during my next visit. I haven't requested a service during my two visits, but hopefully will indulge in a massage in the future! I'm a fan of Glen Ivy but Omni La Costa is smaller and less crowded with a greater value for the amenities to use. Plus, it's a faster drive from San Diego so it makes for an easier daycation recharge. The spa will be back to 5 stars for me once it's open for sure.
