Hmm ok. I love this Soopers...BUT. I don't know why they don't carry everything other Soopers do. For instance, Evol Burritos and Fage Greek Yogurt. Both are weekly buys for me much like eggs and bread would be for some people. I don't get it because I can get these items at any other KS stores. The staff here are beyond friendly, friendlier than I have seen at other stores. The only other grocery store I'll think about going to in the area is Sunflower, but I think that KS overall has the same quality of produce at much more lower prices. And there is a gas station. I can't even lie. The layout of this store is BAFFLING. And that nice whole-store directory they post over every 4th or 5th aisle? It never has what you're looking for. Today, for instance, I wanted a gallon of apple juice. Juice was on the directory three times, canned, frozen, and refrigerated. A gallon of apple juice is none of these things. It's hilarious. That said, it's the best grocery in the area. Their prices are fantastic, their staff is helpful, the store is clean and well organized (if not well laid out, at least the product is lined up and displayed nicely). If you can't find a darned thing, there is generally someone to ask, and they are generally quite warm and helpful. When I need meat, I go to another market, but for pretty much everything else, I come here. read more

This store is awful and downright fraudulent when it comes to fuel points....especially when they do 4x fuel points for gift cards. I often get items for the fuel points when they are advertised with digital coupons and regularly the coupons just don't work so Ive been cheated out of probably $100 in the last few years with that and prices ringing up higher than advertised. When you bring it to their attention they don't care or lie about why it rang up wrong and nothing ever changes. In fact, it's has gotten worse. Don't shop late either because stockmen have all their bundles blocking the aisles and products after about 10. Worst grocery store I've ever been to, of course it's the closest to my house. Never thought I'd write a review on a grocery store, but this place has my heart -- mostly due to the sushi man! I'm in multiple times a week for groceries, including once a week for a grab-and-go roll. It's fresh, delish and decently priced so not too sure what Kym B's talking about (unless they switched back, I started going here September 2014) I do wish they had a sushi special once a week or once every other week, but then I'd probably be concerned about the freshness :) I've been disappointed with cleanliness at other King Soopers locations, but this particular location is always clean and for the most part the employees are wonderful. There is one lady that works the meat & cheese slicer that must hate her life/job. She'll do pretty much anything to avoid filling your order, even if she's the only one working and you're the only one waiting. I've avoided her and the lines by taking advantage of grab-and-go sliced meats/cheeses (located right next to sushi bar, amazingly convenient if you're looking for typical deli orders) I've gotten two booklets of coupons mailed to me in the past 6 months, with a total savings well over $50 (they send a 10% off entire purchase right around Christmas! Unreal!) and save money on gas. Produce is always fresh. Wholly awesome. And there's a starbucks if you want to spoil yourself while you shop. read more

So much staff, so little assistance. As I was trying to navigate the less than intuitive store many times I ran into staff members chatting with other staff or a manager. Which, is fine..I don't expect much of anything from a low level grocery store. But after passing the same manager twice in the same aisle and him continuing to converse with his employees a nod, smile, hello, something is expected. I was going to ask him for assistance but it seemed like i would be inconveniencing him. Then when I went to checkout i walked past a few busy lanes and one empty lane with a cashier hand drumming on the counter, I decided not to inconvenience him either and went to self checkout. Then once I finally got to my car ready to go I found a cart crammed into my car, thanks King Soopers! Never again, Sprouts is just down the street :) I also want to note that I like other King Soopers, the one on Quebec in Highlands Ranch is amazing. read more

This location is rather small compared to other King Soopers, and it isn't my first choice, but it is fine. The employees are always friendly and I can always find what I'm looking for. An issue for me is that the cleanliness is pretty inconsistent and I've felt somewhat dirtier leaving the store at times. It is also not in a great neighborhood and walking through the parking lot can be pretty sketch at night. Other than that, however, it is another King Soopers. read more

This King Soopers is not in my hood but I which it were. Huge - it even has an outdoor furniture area. Good selection which included a great Italian isle stocked with the anchovies my hubby was looking for. I'd give it four stars if it had a better deli. Great place to fill up - the associated gas station gives a sizable discount for store shoppers. read more

It's the King Sooper closest to home. They are currently doing a revamp on the store and i think it will be great! Well, my prior review was written for the 17th/Sheridan location, but somehow Yelp moved it here. It was totally inapplicable to this location, because this location previously SUCKED. hard. But today you could have knocked me over with a feather. Because of the Dragon Boat Festival frenzy at Sloan's Lake, I avoided my favorite KS location, and went here. Well, they had somewhat of a makeover since I last visited. There is now: 1. An actual seafood counter. 2. An actual meat counter. 3. Great selection of in-house made prepared foods. 4. An international cheese selection that blew me away. 5. Management that is detail-oriented and improving morale. The parking lot is still a little dicey in that the proximity to the busy intersection seems to impact flow in this lot. Pleasantly surprised and will not avoid this location as I previously did. read more

We had a great experience today shopping @ King Soopers on 38th and Sheridan! One employee really went above and beyond and I wanted to give him a special shout out! Jayden, who was restocking items and I asked him where the Parmesan cheese was after looking for it for a while. Jayden went to show me where it was and there were none left. I crossed it off my list and figured I'd get it my next trip. Minutes later, Jayden found me, several isles over, with the last Parmesan cheese (he searched for it) and was super warm and friendly. Really appreciated him going above and beyond. I noticed his name tag was yellow so he was likely a trainee - keep him around, he is great @ customer service! read more

Not my favorite grocery store. The produce is mostly sub par. I've had to completely reject all of the bell peppers because I couldn't find one that was appetizing. And I LOVE Peppers! The meat is good, we always buy from the deli. I have a particular infatuation with Boars head turkey because, it's the best. The seafood is the only cutlery I always take a hard pass from purchasing. I'm from Texas, and when you move to a landlocked state you think twice before you pick up a pack of not so opaque shrimp. The Alcohol content in beer at grocery stores is only 3.2% and that is just the worst. Come to think of it I need to decrease my rating by one star. Ok done. Hm okay what's good... This King Soopers has been my grocery store of choice since moving to the area in 2006 (pre Sunflower/Sprouts). I shopped here throughout the renovation and it is finally finished (mostly)! The place is all shiny and new. The aisles are wide and it's newly organized- which, as a veteran shopper, may take a few visits to get acclimated. There is more variety of products now...a made fresh daily sushi stand, a Starbucks if you're into it... This place does have lines at busy times, but I find that they go quickly and have lots of lines open. The makeover looks great and I will continue to shop here. read more

This store is a breath of fresh air having moved from the armpit of middle Aurora. They have a bunch of items for vegans that can require a trip to the high end health food stores. I appreciate that. I really like their selection overall. And the produce in the winter is not too shabby. Thank you. read more

One Friday morning, I decided I was going to take in the evening ball game with the Dodgers who were in town to play the Rockies. Wanting to take advantage of my special $8 Rockies tickets, I strolled into 'The King" to grab some ticketsfor the nights game. As I went up to the 'special services' line located near the front door, I stood behind 2 others. One employee stood behind that counter helping a gentleman trying to send oney via Western Union...or so it seemed to the untrained eye. 10 minutes later....I was still in the same place in line while one of the other check out clerks kept yelling to the ONE person helping out ANYONE in the store at the time "Yo......you got a call on one.....OH..yo and three" obviously not noticing he was doing nothing, and my guy was busy. He yelled that three more times. Needless to say......the line did not move in more than 15 minutes. Having time....I left. Later in the afternoon, I called the same store , asking about the same tickets. My response "yeah...good tickets...normally $30, and we have plenty left" Cool........I returned later in the day...around 5:00..same thing. I was third in line, the one clerk helping another guy sending a Western Union. Managers walked by at the line increased and did nothing to help. Long story short, after 20 minutes, a manager did come to help our clerk, then called the other clerk who was supossed to be behind the same counter, but was on break. 20 minutes...finally my turn. After informing the clerk of my needs, he took my reciept showing I 'earned' the discount tickets. (having accumulated a massive $50 in purchases). He walked around the corner....came back. "What night'. Tonight. Back around the corner. Back again 'How many?" Two tickets. A few moments later, the other clerk came back."did you EARN the discount ticket'? Again showing my reciept. A few moments later clerk #1 re-appears around the corner. 'Tonights game? yeah we don't have any of those left" I said 'thank you' and left after nearly 30 minutes in line. What do I make of this? Tried to get gas at 1030pm on a Tuesday and the pumps were off and the screen said "Station Closed". What kind of gas station in the 21st Century shuts their pumps off to credit card sales? Garbage. read more

Went for the Dinner time Deli chicken rush, waited to get chicken with several customers that wanted multiple pieces of fresh dropped fried chicken. I requested two pieces of the recently dropped chicken, and the attendant proceeded to give me two pieces that have been sitting under the light for who knows how long. I live 5 minutes or less from this location, and came home to luke warm core temp fried chicken at best. I get that you have to sell it or pitch it at the end of the night, but don't grab older pieces in front of the handful of people that waited for fresh. read more

Worst Starbucks service ever. If I can give this Starbucks location in this King Soopers 0 stars, I would in a heartbeat. The register was broken, so they were giving away free drinks. The guy behind the counter said I was greedy for ordering two drinks. He made the assumption that I was just getting the other drink just for me, not knowing my mom was shopping and that I would give it to her. He could have been more polite rather than saying, "you're just being greedy." After I heard that, he asked if I still wanted that second drink. I said no. Rude customer service. This place has quite the atmosohere. It has a good selection of groceries but the croud makes for fun experience with every trip. I would def recommend hitting up sunflower market a few blocks away instead but they do have a pretty good baked goods section! read more

I shop here weekly, they are always out of something we need, the produce is ok but sometimes it is nasty, we were buying chicken and I seen a lot of packs that were to expire the next day. And to top it all off almost every time we go I have to bag my own groceries while employees stand around talking and doing nothing. This place is awful. I'm a regular customer, well I was a regular customer. They are disrespectful and they make me feel like I am inconveniencing them. I bought a money order here and had to return it. They would not except it despite the fact that I had the transaction receipt and the money order receipt. Furthermore the guy that sold it to me was still working the counter and he recognized me. So they made me pay three dollars to cash it. I have never been treated so badly by a manager...Katie or Kate, the one that was working on 5/25/17 needs some customer service training or should just be fired. She pretty much discredited anything I had to say by scoffing, smirking and laughing. I tried to exchange an onion chopper that I purchased for KS about 3 months ago. She didn't even let me finish and said "I have never seen that in this store". I told her well I bought here, she said in her best smartass way, "show me where you would have found it" Then the smirk came...asked her why she was smirking and she replied "I have worked here for 2 years and never seen that...". I told her I have been shopping there for 7 years and I bought it here...let me talk to your boss....is she or he around? So Kenzie, her boss, assisted me and was a breath of fresh air!!! Told her what happened, she apologized and said she was going to have a talk with her. Kenzie offered a gift card right off the bat after I told her it cost about $15. I need an intervention, as you can see by my check-ins I have a serious problem with this King Soopers and their discount bakery rack. It's grown to the point where I'm buying so much stale bread it just molds before I can even get to it. And it's grossing me out. But it's so tempting and full of unique rolls, bagels, mini bagels, buns, loaves, pitas, muffins and donuts. Things that don't catch my eye in the normal section of the bakery where regular people shop. On the rack, you can't sense the age of this already-going-bad bread (unless of course you read the label but why ruin the surprise?), it just looks fresh and yummy all heaped together like Willy Wonka's bread factory probably looks like. But I'm cutting myself off. Saving a few pennies at the store just to waste a few bucks at home with an entire bag of moldy bread that I never eat in time is just silly. And disappointing and disgusting like this morning when the mini whole wheat bagels I'd been looking forward to for breakfast had already completely molded over in three days :( Here's hoping my slider buns (actually regular burger buns but definitely the smallest I've even seen) are still edible for dinner when I get home tonight... read more

I have shopped at this king soopers for years. My grandfather who is elderly has me take him here to shop 2 times a week. Now i am not aloud in this store to even shop as a consumer, just for asking a question to the manager George. I was working with a vendor stocking and a conversation took place and i asked 1 simple question didnt say anything else, i was not rude and did not use any foul language. George then told me i was no longer aloud in there. So i no longer help the vendor at this store but i assumed i could just go in to shop or grab a coffee. HOWEVER i was told i am not aloud in the store even as a consumer. I think this is absurd and poor business for a king soopers. They need a new manager who isnt on their high horse so much to get upset over a simple question. Now i will be shopping at Safeway down the street. This is so petty, i use to think higher of king soopers as they have always been my go to. Good luck shoppers dont ask any questions. read more

Dirty and disorganized. Staff are often rude and disrespectful, especially in the pharmacy. Pharmacy always says my prescription doesn't exist and then I get a text 10 minutes later saying it's ready. I go through self-checkout and the attendant is often missing and when they are there, they are incredibly slow. Had to leave my checkout to go find someone several times. NOT GOING BACK. read more

I believe that this King Soopers has the most unfriendly, unattentive staff of any KS I have ever been to. Stopped in last week and found construction and no signage directing you to the correct aisle and the store a complete MESS. When I did the self checkout, I was continually prompted to "wait for assistance", there were 2 clerks there chatting to each other and not one said one word to me. They came to the machine , cleared the "assistance" and walked back and resume chatting. This is the 2nd time I have been to this store to be met by employees that do no speak one word to you during checkout! Not , hello, goodbye, thank you .... anything.
