This store is well organized, clean, and well-lit -- better than the dicey areas in the parking lot outside. It's got a discount gas station as well. Produce area is kept clean and organized and seems a bit larger than at some other King Soopers. There's a Starbuck's nook here as well. I can't put a finger on it exactly, but it *seems* better organized than the store at S. Colorado and Yale. I didn't see any discounted goods area here though that is in the back of the store at the aforementioned location, so...don't know if this location has one. Anyways, one of the better KS locations in SE Denver. read more

One of the biggest king soopers I've visited. Lovely selection on Hillshire Snacking, protein bars, and cheaper prices on their grapes and cheese combo platters. Very busy during lunch hour, very hectic in the parking lot. read more

Went in today to pay my rent and Tom seemed like he had never had to deal with anyone doing this before even though I go in every month to pay my rent as I'm sure other people do as well. A couple of his co-workers explained to him what to do and was still unable to assist me. I had to go to a different Kings Soopers which was a big inconvenience. Tom needs to be retrained. read more

This is just your typical local grocery store, it also has a gas station on site by the store. Parking lot is pretty tiny and the roads leading to the spots are very narrow so you have to be very careful as it's a 2-way street in the parking lot. This store is huge, probably one of the biggest King Soopers in Metro Denver area. I usually don't shop at this store, but I had some fuel points and needed to use it by the end of the month before it expires. The gas station only has entry and an exit, just like Costco. I think that's good for safety issues so people don't hit each other. Overall service was good, would definitely recommend. read more

Holy crap. My boyfriend and I went shopping here last night. I have been sober for a while now and I swear I was hallucinating about the other shoppers. I had one man come up to my boyfriend and say hey guys did you know that meth gives you voices in your head?! And another woman followed us until she found an opportunity to hit on us and acted disappointed when we told her we were gay. Seriously we were the only two people who are not on drugs. read more

I like King Soopers and I like the staff at this particular store. My review is solely based off my shopping trips to this King Soopers. Every time I shop there in the afternoon I witness kids from the nearby high school stealing from this store. I honestly have seen it happen a half dozen times in the last 3 months. Just the other day a young kid walked out the in entry doors with a hand basket filled with junk food. I mentioned it to a very nice female manager and her reply was It happens all the time and all we can do is hope the security personnel catch them. It's unfortunate as it raises the prices for the consumers and I know Kroger employees hourly wages can kind of suck. Parents of those young high school kids need to engrave some morals about not stealing into their kids. The kids basket was full of junk food and cookies so I can only hope the sugar, fats and carbs catch up to him and he becomes obese which pays him back for stealing to begin with. Worst King supers I've been to two checkouts open, my cashier Kurt was unwilling to figure out why one of my coupons wouldn't work and didn't seem to care at all when I said I spent $10 or more and produce and he said he didn't know, my suggestion to Kurt is to figure it out, they were so slow well I had two baggers that took me over five minutes to bag my groceries. She avoids eye contact, she does not speak and she seems to think its more important to socialize with co workers vs helping customers. How do you get in to the store after 7 pm? Confusing to go in through the cashiers to shop. Very weird, like they don't really want me to shop there. I used to frequent this King Soopers as it is so conveniently located right off of the highway on Hampden; mostly to get gas, but also with the occasional pop-in to grab something on my way home. Unfortunately, I have had my fair share of "close calls" when trying to maneuver my way over to the gas station, that I have stopped going there for the time being. The main problem being the five way cluster when pulling in off of Hampden. First off, people have no reception to seeing cars pulling into the parking lot off of the highway. It is like merging into a five way intersection with no stop signs, and with everyone under the assumption that they have the right of way. Next, to make your way over to the gas station, you have to steer clear of a giant light post that seemingly is in the middle of the lane you are attempting to merge into. God forbid another car is attempting to exit the lot and is coming down the same lane you are driving in to make it over to the gas station. Lastly, I know there are giant arrows that are supposed to steer the flow of traffic into the gas station to the pumps, but are totally disregarded. I have had many a time, trialing my patience, as I wait for the free-for-all to calm down and for a spot to open up. So for now, King Soopers, I bid you farewell until the time comes when I really need to stop for gas or when the quick convenience trumps the headache of pulling into your parking lot. read more

The only reason they are getting two stars is because of the lady who I talked to afterwards on my way out in the floral department! Went to pick up my moms birthday cake (my dad had put in the order on Tuesday) and at first the one woman said ( I think she was the decorator) I don't have one with that on it. We don't have it. Didn't even hardly look or have an order sheet. Called my dad to confirm it was this king Soopers and they kept asking is he sure. Almost walked off and less then 1 minute later they said "oh, it's right here". Just seemed super incompetent and disorganized. We love this king Soopers but today I was very disappointed with the customer service in the bakery department. I have talked to the manager numerous times, the district manager lots of times, and even The regional manager a few times, yet, the customer service desk still has issues. And the last time I was in and asked for a manager, no manager responded to the page. This is not the first time that this has happened. I don't think the manager that runs the store has a clue on how to run a store. Thank god, I am moving to a new area, and will not have to put up with their poor customer service any more. And I have no clue what it will take to get David Savages attention and get the customer service in the store back up to what other King Sooper's stores have. read more

Its a normal King Soopers. Nothing special or exceptional ever about any of them - ever. The check out lines are all too long and the check out area is just crammed and packed up tight. The parking is crammed, and no one looks happy to be working there either. I only stop in here if I forget something and this is my last chance before I hit the interstate. read more

This is probably the worst King Soopers in the Denver area. They always seem to be out of normal items (lettuce, vinegar for example), and the staff is BEYOND rude. Good luck if you actually need help at the self check out, they'll be condescending and make you feel like you're inconveniencing them. read more

Typical grocery store. This location has the low prices and varied selection that I've come to expect from King Soopers. I often get gas from this location. I don't usually shop here, except when I need a few things here and there and I don't feel like walking through a superstore (such as Walmart). For a while this was the only place near my house that carried my favorite flavor of Celestial Seasonings tea. As an added bonus, it was on sale for a very long time. I'd probably shop here more often if it was closer to my house and offered price match like Walmart does. read more

Every time I call to ask if my prescription is ready they put me on hold forever! I have been on hold for 12 minutes can't you just check if my prescription is ready this is ridiculous. You can't be that busy that u can't answer the phone. Ppl there are always slow. Maybe if you would work a little faster things would get done! read more

I love my king soopers. I shop almost daily because I carry it home on the bus, and they all know me. They have great sales from time to time, and sometimes the organic produce section has some great stuff. Most of the time I can get everything I need from there. Its clean, and the staff is friendly. There is a bus stop right near the store, and also a light rail near by. read more

Surprise surprise. After being helped in pharmacy many times by the older shorter lady pharmacist with glasses to fill my prescription with price match, today I got Shelby. Proved the price match through Kroger but since my phone wouldn't load the code, guess who paid full price. I never yelp anything so you know it's exceptionally bad as I wrote my second yelp review ever....Literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced from Shelby in the pharmacy. She was rude at the drop off throwing paper I handed her, telling me they don't call insurance companies and don't even have phone numbers to them (I just started a new job and didn't have my new insurance cards yet)...which as a pharmacy is slightly shocking. Then when she says it will be ready in 30 minutes and I show up over 2 hours later she says my ID number is wrong. Never bothered to call never bothered to text or send any kind of communication to me to ask a simple question. The only reason why I am giving 1 Star is because Maggie was checking me out and was actually courteous and helpful. Shelby does not belong in a customer facing role and should be fired. read more

I agree with Shea S. who talked about the layout of this store...no bueno! The gas station is VERY hard to navigate, but I will suffer through for cheap gas. The WORST part about this King Soopers is the pharmacy. The staff here are quite good EXCEPT Maggie. I have been coming here for years and CRINGE when I see her behind the desk. She is consistently rude to me (and I bet others), knows nothing about GOOD customer service, and should not be working with the public. This last time I went in, she treated me like I didn't know how to read a scanner (I have an MBA!), tried to swat my King Soopers card out of my hand, then pretended like she was HELPING me! Never has any baggers- if I wanted to bag my own groceries I would get a job there. I once called a manager about this situation and I was told that "good help is hard to get." I also stated that when I do bag my own stuff, I almost never get a thank you. The manager, I felt, didn't take my concern seriously. The Starbucks in there has cheated me out of drinks- I had a gift card and asked to put the balance of that gift card on my Starbucks card and she refused to do it. This place is a mile away from me so i go there, there is also a Safeway within proximity of me but this place has more options, so i come here instead. It is a little more pricey than king soopers in Brighton or Henderson but not by much and they do have some good sales occasionally. My complaint is that their sushi isn't as good as the other locations, and they skimp you badly on the wasabi and ginger. Their deli has good food options so i just grab food from there instead. They have been sold out on a few items i always buy like HALO TOP ice cream need more flavors besides chocolate and strawberry and the Himalayan Alkaline water was completely out. Also the isles have blind turns last time an old man was racing around the corner and nearly ran into me, I told him to calm down and he just kept speed walking up and down the isles aimlessly trying to remember why he came to the store to begin with. read more

This store is always a mess, reminds me of a flea market. Unreliable inventory, SO overpriced, lazy lazy lazy employees, dirty, mean deli workers. Ask a deli worker for the meat sliced a certain way? No, you will get it however they feel like preparing it. Last time I went, I asked for a certain turkey and the woman pulled it from various lunch meat bags behind the counter that had already been sliced and even put a different label on it....okay?? After, a very trying day already I had to stop at my local Kings to get some dinner and formula for my son. God forbid you pay with WIC benefits bc you're apparently seen as a scumbag in the eyes of the employees/clerks. I, out of human error forgot my debit card at home. PROBLEM bc I had a remaining balance. Oh no.....now, I've already embarrassed myself enough on my own here, I DO NOT need the clerk to do so, but he did anyway. Steve H. went out of his way completely to humiliate me in front of fellow customers. THANKS Steve! I left and retuned for my groceries (after all babies have to eat right?) within about 15 minutes, my groceries were sent back bc I am sure I'm not the 1st person to say "I'll be back"....lol OK...I get it...not a problem however I did have frozen items in my order....bummer....after being pierced with one snide remark following an even better and more condescending one after the next I was in no way shape or form going to ask to replace the partly thawed items. After all misery loves company right? Well you find plenty of it here at this location thats for sure... I was in FULL BLOWN disbelief at how utterly and COMPLETELY humiliated I was by this representative of good 'ol KROGER. This King Soopers location is great for occasional shopping and quick and easy self-checkout. This store seems pretty normal to me compared to the other in Denver so I have no complaints. It tends to be very busy and crowded so if that is not your thing then I would probably go someplace else. read more

It's 7 PM not sure of all the friendly people are off work now but apparently nobody's happy. Waited five minutes for service in the deli just for them to have half to nothing available. There are lots of King Soopers supermarkets in the Denver area. This one is the pits. The only occasions on which I have been to the store have been morning, between 6:30 and 7:30. This is not an unreasonable hour to be shopping, but there are no cashier at all at this time of day. A single clerk manages the self-checkout lanes, and there are enough customers that he/she cannot attend to them all in a timely manner. And unfortunately there are generally things to attend to... the system does not seem to be able to properly recognize when you have brought your own cloth bags, so the clerk must rest the system for you. Additionally, the store seems to do all its stocking at this time. A 24hr/day store must do its stocking during business hours. But due to extremely poor management at this store, they manage to do it in a way that is totally disruptive for shoppers. On a number of occasions entire aisles are blocked and inaccessible for shopping. Even in the best of circumstances pallets are placed in spots that may totally obscure shelf space for items you are looking for. Broken down cardboard boxes scattered on the floor... Other stores seem to be able to manage the stocking of shelves in a way that still provides customer access to groceries. Not this one!!! Time for a new manager. read more
