This review is about Kroger delivery services only A basic boost membership cost 899 a month. I have been a boost member for many years. The payment comes out automatically. My last delivery order was made June 7, 2025. They charged me $3.95 for delivery I called Customer Service and all they told me was that my boost membership had expired. How does an automatic renewal membership expire you say? In my humble opinion this is a scam by Kroger. They got four dollars of free money by just not taking my payment one month I advise everybody to make sure that your delivery orders are pristine and undamaged when they are damaged which they always are. Make sure you get your boost membership money back on your orders. read more

It's rather embarrassing to admit that I frequent this store more than weekly (don't even bother asking, I won't disclose the number of visits). Over the past year I've gotten to know at least one person in each department. Many have been with King Soopers for over 10 years, some at this very location for the whole 10+ years. Everyone is very prideful of their job, friendly, and fun to have a chat with. There's always a display at customer service for the Friday Free item (yes, you read correctly, each Friday King Soopers announces one product for free that you can load via logging into their website or app. Sometimes it's cat treats, sometimes it's mashed potatoes, most recently it was a candle - you never know). The Cheese department features small cuts of lots of fine cheese so go ahead and splurge on a small chunk before going for the whole shebang. There's an awesome variety of cracker and hummus to boot! The produce department boasts a great selection of organics as well as conventional. Sometimes they even have a section for Misfits (those that may have a little bruise or otherwise be considered imperfect) at a discount. Great way to stock up on some things - particularly if you are a juicer like me. The clearance racks (yes, there is more than one) are located near the restroom and are typically overflowing with bakery items, flowers/plants and some odds and ends from grocery (vitamins, canned goods, it varies). More often than not things are in perfect condition and I've always seen everything to be in date (i.e. not expired or even close to expiry). The meat department often features samples of sausage, salmon and other goods. While they don't sell suet in the meat case you can call ahead and request that they hold some fat aside for you from their morning cuttings (it's getting cold out, those wild birds need their suet!). The dairy department has often surprised me with a great selection of products I'd typically only expect to find at Whole Foods (Malk, Vegan cheeses, etc.). Whatever your shopping needs I definitely recommend this store. Let them know what you think after your visit and earn 50 points towards gas savings in the King Soopers app by completing a visit survey (the invite will be on your receipt). Oh, and last but certainly not least - check the back of that receipt! There's a FREE Yoga class at the Yoga Loft just a few steps away from the store. read more

I frequent this kings often. The sugar tax is ridiculous but that's a Boulder City thing so I can't fault them but that really dictates if I'm going to go there or drive into Longmont. But the experience I had last week is what is prompting me to write this review. It wasn't necessarily king soopers but they allowed it so I do hold them somewhat accountable. The community food share was our front and the man who was very aggressively pushing people to buy groceries. I found it so inappropriate it took a lot to not say something to him and the people with him. Right now so many people are struggling to put food on their own tables. Food, rent, gas, cars, utilities and so many more things have increased but you know what hasn't? Pay. He reminded me of a panhandler getting upset that you don't give them money. I imagine I was not the only person completely appalled by him. read more

The hardworking people here are great, both friendly and patient. The selection is amazing. It is a clean place and parking lot. The manager from April 2020 was pretty mean if you cross her. Sometimes the self-serve granola area does not work and needs to be replaced, and the prices weirdly fluctuate. The staff gets overwhelmed when it gets busy, sometimes. Compared to most grocery chains I feel like this place is more of a friendly neighborhood market. The staff are very friendly and attentive and they seem to know the regulars. They'll usually greet you and ask if you need help. They actually seem to take pride in their jobs which is rare in a grocery store. The layout is very easy to navigate: even for someone that just moved here. Some of the items they have on display are great: I found a frozen ready to-go chicken tikka mesala meal that you throw in a pan and voila! Also they have coconut water on sale which is the best if you're looking for an all natural fruit drink. I'll keep coming back. read more

It is rare to for me to rate a chain grocery store this high. But then again, if you visit this place you'd understand why. I am used to the lower-rated King Soopers, filled with rudeness near my house. However, when I get a chance to grocery shop, I choose this location. The staff here is very friendly, I consistently get a random "good morning" and "have a good day," out of the blue. I can easily access any staff member with a question, without feeling poopy about it. In addition to that, this store has some of the best clearance items, they have great samples for people to try, and there's a super friendly group of people working at the Starbucks, where I have become a regular. Some complain about missing items, but if you ask any staff members, they're always on it. This is what a neighborhood market feels like! Everyone is friendly. Also, not their fault Boulder has a stupid bag tax, the staff is just doing their jobs monitoring bags being taken, so don't take it personal. read more

Bought Bison here and it literally gave my friend food poisoning 5 hours after eating. He started to violently throw up continuously for 3 hours. Had to go to the ER at 1:30 am and returned home at 5 am after 3 IV bags and lots of drugs. Another time I bought salami and ate two slices the first day, and the second day I opened the packaging more to discover that the salami had white, black, and green mold covering one entire side. Switching to Pharmaca where atleast they treat their customers with respect. Just got hung-up on by a pharmacist, who thinks I should switch to a generic drug because my doctor hasn't spelled it out in their system that I cannot tolerate it. I don't do well with one of the fillers in the generic one. My doctor especially called for the brand name. This has happened before as well, everytime I have a dose change I need to have this spelled out for the same drug. It's not the logistics that bother me... it's the attitude. They can simply say they can't supply the brandname drug anymore and I can go elsewhere instead of arguing with me and hanging-up on me. Patients are are also extremely intelligent humans. Stop treating us like senseless abnormal species who just need to tolerate a generic drug that they don't do well on. read more

Great selection of cheeses and meats, my grandmother called ahead to have them reserve the lamb and they did just that, the price was rather expensive but this was good lamb, so you can't expect it to be cheap. The people know my grandparents very well and they all converse by name. Rather cool. Wide selections of fruits, honey, and veggies, can't complain. read more

This place is the jam. Yes, it's a grocery store - so I won't list all the departments and stuff. The point is that it's a clean place with nice peeps who just want you to fill your shopping cart with watermelons and jam. I stop by when I don't want to pay $9 for lunch at surrounding restaurants. They have little self-checkout things at the front of the store, which is the best thing on Earth when you're just buying, like, hair curlers and you don't want to wait in line forever. The store is ok. Lots of variety and diversity when it comes to food choices. Staff are friendly. However, their Starbucks is horrible---one staff at the cashier, same staff makes the drinks, same staff heats the breakfast. Imagine that during morning rush hour! Really poor management planning. This morning, there were 2 staff BUT only one was working---the other one informed the long line of customers that she is on a break! Regarding the in store Starbucks; No idea who hired Wednesday Adams to be a barista, but she is soul sucking and unnecessary before your daily dose of caffeine. Just make the coffee how it's suppose to be made. Don't scald it, don't jip me on syrup because your little arm couldn't handle one more pump. And when I ask you to remake my coffee because I can tell the difference between soy and cow milk, and I graciously say thank you multiple times, just freaking smile and say your welcome. Don't ignore your customer who are talking directly to you. It literally will not kill you to act human. I intentionally avoid this Starbucks because there is only one quality worker there. In Gunbarrel, this store has a captive audience. As others have said, King Soopers is the best place to buy reasonably priced groceries and still enjoy variety - so for that reason, I'll keep doing some general shopping there. However, their pharmacy, despite being the only pharmacy in Gunbarrel will NEVER get my business again because their pharmacy manager treated me abominably. I went in to fill a prescription (which happens to be for a BCP that I take for medical reasons, not as a contraceptive) and asked if it was possible to wait and get it filled then. As they had no line and seemed like staff were not busy, I thought it was reasonable to at least ask. The pharmacy manager and lead pharmacist happened to be on duty, looked over my prescription and agreed that I could come back in 20 minutes. When I returned (25 minutes later, 6:45 pm) his assistant had been tasked with telling me, "your doctor mis-wrote your prescription and we can't fill it until we talk to them." Well, it was after hours. Also, important to note, at this time I looked over the counter and asked to speak to the pharmacist who instead of looking up, coming around the counter, or even meeting eye contact simply raised his voice and said, "Your prescription doesn't exist!" I tried, more than once, to explain that we had picked the prescription off of a list of generics covered by my insurance plan. He, still not being willing to come over and talk to me, make eye contact, or even let me finish a sentence, repeated no fewer than 5 times, "that dosage doesn't exist so I can't fill it. It doesn't exist at that dosage." FIVE. TIMES. I left disgusted, and called my doctor the next day to make sure her office was working with the pharmacy. I was told by her office, and I quote, "We're still not sure what his issue was because all we did was to read the prescription notes as they were written and confirm, 'Yes, it's generic for ___ which is also at 35 mcg." I called the pharmacy to check that they had accepted this information and were now filling my prescription and was told, "Yes, we talked to your doctor, but now we're out of stock and won't get it in until tomorrow." When I expressed concern and dismay I was told, "Well, it's your doctor's fault for not writing the prescription right." This was the point at which I asked to get the store manager involved, and though she assured me she would speak to the pharmacist, have them call around area stores so they could find supply for my prescription that day, instead what happened that afternoon was that I received three different calls from three different pharmacy assistants giving me ever later estimates of when they would have supply of my prescription. "We'll get it tomorrow." "Maybe Friday." "Possibly on Saturday." (It's important to note that the store manager was compassionate and professional, but as she handed back responsibility for resolving this to the pharmacy, and since they continued to not communicate with me well and to confuse the issue . . . ) When I mentioned my talk with the store manager and my concern that this was, indeed, actually due to their error and that I really needed this prescription sooner instead of presenting me with solutions, one of the assistants said, cavalierly, "This is just for birth control!" Uhh, actually, no. I take this prescription to control medical issues so thanks for being casual with my health. Finally, I laid all of this out for yet ANOTHER pharmacy assistant who wrote down all of my questions and concerns, and assured me that the pharmacy and store manager would call me the next morning to discuss this situation and how it had gotten out of control Guess who didn't get a call the next day. At all. That's right - this lady right here. They finally filled my prescription, just in time for me to move it to Safeway's pharmacy. And guess what - it does, indeed, have a dosage of 35mcg! What?! I thought that dosage didn't exist! I heard it at least 5 times from a real live "pharmacist." Buh-bye KS pharmacies - Safeway can get my over $150 in co-pays for prescriptions every month instead. read more

This store truly transformed. Feels so good, emphasis on organic and natural. Organic Produce is up to par with whole foods. People who work their are genuinely nice and helpful. I had one conflict and the manager helped me and I felt very taken care of. I witnesses the way emplyees were being treated, very sincere and thoughtful. I truly enjoy my experience at this location. They are constantly trying to improve, totally rearranging, often new products and emphasis on organic and natural. read more

Well, i got my meal and when she asked for sides i was like "boulder slaw and potato wedges" chick behind counter got all sassy and was like "yeah we dont allow people to get those sides anymore even without the meat. I have been shopping at this king soopers for fifteen years, and I am happy that it is so close to my house. I usually use self check out, but today I had to go through a cashiers line. My disabled child was sitting in the cart, and I couldn't easily pick her up out of it and still continue to check out as she can't stand, so I just set my 12-15 small items on the check stand myself and pulled the cart around front. By the time I was done with this, I had to show ID and use two different cards. I was never asked if I wanted to purchase bags, and I forgot to mention it. I was too busy to bag during the whole transaction, and there was no bagger and the cashier didn't help out at all either. If he was so worried about time, he could have helped. By the time the transaction was over, I started bagging everything up quickly. I realized I wasn't asked to purchase bags, so I offered to give the cashier 30 cents. He responds with "you need to hurry this along, mam". Excuse me? I'm shopping with a disabled child, you see that I have been busy during this whole transaction, you don't offer to help me at all, and then you tell me that I need to hurry things along? I only had a few items, and you could have helped. But you didn't, and I couldn't have rushed more. The whole transaction just rubbed me the wrong way. I should not be told to hurry. If you see that a customer is struggling, you should help them instead of worrying about the next person in line. read more

Luckily for myself this grocery store sits close by my office so I frequent it often. The staff is friendly. The choices in inventory are plenty. For me the reason I love this location is for the deli. The deli although sometimes short staffed, is the best place for a well priced lunch, when you dont want to have the usual artery clogging burger from BK. There's plenty of good choices at the deli and a lot of interesting culinary creations that I would have never thought of. I would much rather wait here for my lunch than wait in line at Burger King just across the parking lot. read more

I love this location. I do not live in Boulder but I work here and every time I go in the staff is amazing and friendly. We use a lot of Dry Ice and they are always so helpful and fast to get it. If this location wasn't so far from my house I would always shop here except where I live I don't have to pay for a bag or extra sugar tax. Still, I love this location. read more

Friendly people. It's on the smallish side so it doesn't have everything that, say, the Safeway on 28th has. That said, they have a really good selection. The coupons they give you with your purchase actually make sense - if you buy Naked Juice, they give you a Naked Juice coupon, not something for some off-brand juice that you've never heard of. The pharmacy is almost always PACKED but it's efficient and clean. For a neighborhood grocery store, it's pretty darned nice. read more

This review is for the pharmacy: Do not use this pharmacy. I was recently prescribed drops for a sight-threatening eye ailment that I've taken for the the past 30-years. After a week of waiting for the prescription to be filled, I went in and was told they don't stock this medication and they never had any intention of filling it. Despite having my contact information and that of the prescribing doctor, the pharmacy just ignored me and my request for medication. read more
