I ordered delivery as I do not drive. I had been wanting to try it since I moved here, but could not find anyone to go with. They post on a lot of the Facebook groups concerning Camden and always push you to their website to order delivery. Once you do, Uber Eats deliver the food. So I ordered an omelet and a bacon biscuit and went to check out. I always check the cart and double check it and this is why. There was going to be a $42 delivery fee. King's Kitchen is literally four miles away from me. $42. So I noped put of the transaction and posted about my experience in one of those Facebook groups and someone else said they had the same charge before. So if you order from their website, double and triple check that transaction carefully. About a week later, I did order from there, but went through Uber Eats directly. N o $42 charge this time. As far as the food goes, the omelet was fantastic and stuffed full. The side of grits was good, not great. I look forward to eating in house. The owners may want to work on that outrageous delivery fee. read more

Visiting our daughter and family and decided to have this as our celebratory lunch spot after our granddaughters pre-k graduation! Family operated and I did appreciate everyone was friendly, helpful and the owner/chef personally thanked us for the support! It's a rustic building under renovations with nearly no indoor dining but they have an expansive picnic table area and a couple tables right in front! The food was good! I ordered the corn beef hash with eggs n grits - the hash is straight out of a can but you can tell he did try to spruce it up a bit! The grits were creamy and rich and slightly salt forward! So I've been waiting for them to be added to Yelp so I could review! I am so excited for this town to have such a great "Togo" food option. My kids are CONSTANTLY asking to go back and the food was amazing! Pictures do NOT do it justice! I had the shrimp n grits, the girls had smothered French toast (I don't think that's what they call it, but they should ), and the boy had pancakes. Everything was great! Super hot, large portions, wonderful portions. Just know this place is to go. They have 2 tables inside but it is crowded inside. We were aware of this and expected it so no disappointment there. First off... this is a HIDDEN GEM on the downtown strip of Camden, South Carolina... The breakfast selections AND servings range from the best plates from Grandma's house to gut busting deliciousness from other big name eateries... I must admit.. I have been here before, and the food was good - but not to the point where I'd drive TWELVE city miles for it... on a regular basis... WelpYelp... let's just say - that will be changing - today I had the SHRIMP & GRITS and it was EVERYTHING... The grits perfectly cooked, seasoned with just the right amount of cheese and I DID NOT NEED TO ADD ANY SALT!! WHAT??? I feel like there was more than the typical 5 Shrimp you get at most places.. I lost count! I'm personally not a fan of the spicy Tasso gravy most places serve - so I was happy to see the meaty buttery sautéed goodness over my grits and It comes with the best piece of buttered toast I've had in a VERY long time! The owner Ms K, was so inviting and though the indoor seating is VERY limited & a few seats outside, Many of the regulars ordered to-go. The business is REgrowing fast & Ms K may be in a bigger spot soon - so call ahead to see about seats... Another impressive view.. customers came in looking for a seat, and asked for a recommendation to go elsewhere & Ms K - NAMED ANOTHER SMALL BUSINESS (with great classic breakfast), and gave directions!! It was after lunch today May 13th my husband and I decided to go to Camden to eat at King's Kitchen man it was delicious. Brittany our server was a friendly lady with a great attitude. She checked on us often, made sure we had everything we needed and then some. She was just a very pleasant person. I had decided on the Wings and Waffle both were hot and scrumptious . My husband ordered the Waffle cake with strawberry compote and onion sausage . My son, sister, & brother in law and my husband were there on Saturday May 10th and they all thought it was delicious. It may take a minute when they are really busy because he (Demonte) cooks your order when you order it, including my chicken today I ordered with the Waffle. I am so happy we finally have a GREAT place to eat breakfast, brunch, & lunch, it is so good it's worth the wait and to travel from Columbia, or Bishopville any place in the 30-40 mile range. Didn't bring me what I ordered, the sampler breakfast platter, and I had to show her the menu as to what was supposed to be on the plate. No sausage, no biscuit, and turkey bacon instead of real bacon. I was told,"sorry". I asked for the manager as was told he was at a catering event and no one from management was there. I asked what they were going to do to rectify the situation and was told to leave my phone # & the manager would call me to discuss the issue. No discount, no offer to give me the items left off. Terrible service and the food was so-so at best. I can't believe a resturant wouldn't have anyone there who had authority to handle customer issues or check and make sure the food delivered was what was ordered. read more

Really good and very friendly staff. Stopped in for brunch then a short walk through the farmers market next door. Food was very good and I'm looking forward to trying other things on the menu next time. read more

I took my family from out of town here because of the reviews, and boy, did we have a horrible experience. The cashier/hostess was so rude right from the beginning. She stood and watched as an elderly man with a cane struggled to get in the door to inform them that he still had not received his OJ. I had to help him in and out of the restaurant while she did nothing. I suspect that he had not received his drink because the waitress was so inattentive. It took her 30 minutes to take our order and an hour to get our food. In total we sat in the hot sun batting flies away waiting for an hour and a half. However, there were tables and patrons inside the restaurant that came after us that were served first. At one point I went to the restroom and saw our food sitting on the line in front of the waitress while she was texting away. Once it got to the point that my baby was crying from hunger I had to go in and ask for my food then it magically appeared. It was so cold my older child didn't even want to eat it and later cried in the car. A table across from the kitchen told me that our food had been sitting on the line for more than 30 mins. And our order was VERY simple. SHAME on all the staff here. Attitudes adjustments and customer service training is needed all around. read more

This was the first time coming and eating here. If you truly want your great grandma's cooking, not grandma, but great grandma, this is the place. Everything is prepared fresh. Our server was truly amazing. She made sure we had what we needed, and always had a smile. It's a little small, but very cozy. I truly recommend coming here. Oh my GOSH! This food is to die for. My boyfriend and I are visiting for an event and decided to stop in this cute place and got to choose the cutest little window seat!! We both ordered lemonades (his regular, mine strawberry) SO YUMMY! And then I ordered the breakfast bowl with potato's and turkey bacon. Holy cow it was like addictive.... I wish I could have had 8. My boyfriend ordered a fried pork chop, egg and grits and says the grits were incredibly creamy and delicious. The buttery pancake was also super fluffy and delicious. Everything is amazing! The owners are very nice people. Food is always fresh. My personal favorite is the French toast and shrimp and grits.

Food was excellent! Eggs & grits were already seasoned well so we didn't feel a need to use any extra salt or pepper (that's a first for us). The Frenchies (French toast) barely needed any syrup as they are already so delicious. Food served in to-go containers for dining in was a bit different but made taking leftovers home easy. Look forward to seeing how this restaurant grows. read more
