I rarely leave negative reviews; however, my recent experience at Riverton Jewelers was…read moredisappointing and warrants sharing. I initially visited the store to have a ring resized. While waiting, I browsed their jewelry and tried on a ring priced at $259.00 (10k gold, per the owner at that time). I liked the ring but decided to think it over. Two days later, I returned to the store ready to purchase. I tried on the same ring again, confirmed that I wanted it, and stated that I was prepared to buy it at the listed price of $259.00, which was still clearly displayed on the tag. At that point, the owner checked her iPad and phone and then told me, "The best I can do is $329.00. The price of gold went up." I questioned how the price could increase by $70 in just two days--especially when the price tag still reflected $259.00 and I had been quoted that same price during my prior visit. I asked if the store would honor the posted price since I was ready to purchase immediately. She refused, stating she would "lose money" and said she would instead send the ring back to the manufacturer. The ring was then tossed aside rather than returned to the display case. In my opinion, this was poor customer service. I was willing and prepared to purchase the ring at the clearly marked price, but I was not comfortable paying an unposted amount that contradicted the displayed price. This experience left a very negative impression. Had this situation been handled differently, they would have earned a loyal customer, as I frequently purchase gold jewelry. Unfortunately, due to how this was handled, I will not be returning.

I've been a customer of theirs for a few years now and I can't say enough good things about them…read more I've bought an Xbox360 and Xbox One, a couple of guitars and many various other odds and ends and I always get a great deal. Ric, Logan, Nick, Alex and John (guitar guru) are all very polite and will work hard with you to find you what you are looking for. If there is a problem, they'll make it right. As far as selling, I have only sold one big ticket item to them I no longer needed and got a very fair price and it was no hassle at all. Agree on a price, show driver's license, sign a form and they hand you your cash. Like all pawn shops they do short term loans too on items. Anyhow, I've always been treated very well by them and I highly recommend them. Lastly, they have dedicated parking spots right out front of their door. There is a Wells Fargo, and 7-11 a few storefronts down. Convenient location, just watch out for the kids going into the dance studio next door.

Always friendly, greeted you upon entering the store and made sure you were helped quickly and they were very knowledgeable, upfront and honest to me. It's been a couple of years since my last visit until today. I wasn't even thinking about it but drove passed it and turned around w a grin and a Lil excitement to see what surprises await. I walk in and 3 people,(for identification purposes) all in there 20's to maybe early 30's, Latino features. (Didn't catch any names, as I never was spoken to) behind the counter standing damn near shoulder to shoulder. No one looked at me or said a peep to me. One was on speaker phone w a customer having a discussion about business and directions. The other two were just standing there acting like they all were completely commited and focused on listening to the phone conversation, but only the one was speaking. I walk around for 4-5 minutes looking and waiting to be acknowledged. Another customer approached the door hands full, and no one budged, so I quickly went to the door to assist. Not a peep to the other customer as he walked right up to the counter and put his stuff down. I browsed for several more minutes and finally walked up right in front of them and beside the other customer, and not even eye contact was given. Customer spoke a greeting and I responded in kind. I just walked to the exit and still not a word. Aside from cust service, they had an inventory that couldn't compete with a weak yard sale. Few Musical instruments, a small corner of tools in plastic storage boxes unlabeled. Had no idea what 85% was. Jewelry is all they have a decent inventory of probably 80-90% of the stores inventory. It's sad really. Has to be new ownership or management. This store will fade away unless they provide items people might want and have the staff to buy and sell merchandise for them. 10/13/2026 5pm

Located on 14th street so the space is small, but there's still plenty of variety. As an example, we went to FOUR other pawn shops looking for a simple gold band. It sounds easy but no one else had the right size (all huge or tiny) or they only had huge stones. Crown to the rescue! Beside jewelry, there's tools, electronics, musical instruments. The whole gamut. 2. Awesome customer service. 3. Great return policy. The only con for me is that beside normal business hours Monday through Friday, they are only open on the first Saturday out of each month. I mean, I get it, from what I've seen the owners are always there taking care of business, and they deserve their weekend as well. Also my wallet probably appreciates it.
