I've been a customer of theirs for a few years now and I can't say enough good things about them. I've bought an Xbox360 and Xbox One, a couple of guitars and many various other odds and ends and I always get a great deal. Ric, Logan, Nick, Alex and John (guitar guru) are all very polite and will work hard with you to find you what you are looking for. If there is a problem, they'll make it right. As far as selling, I have only sold one big ticket item to them I no longer needed and got a very fair price and it was no hassle at all. Agree on a price, show driver's license, sign a form and they hand you your cash. Like all pawn shops they do short term loans too on items. Anyhow, I've always been treated very well by them and I highly recommend them. Lastly, they have dedicated parking spots right out front of their door. I've been in this shop many times over the years, not frequently but extensively over time. Plenty of variety and nice products. Always friendly, greeted you upon entering the store and made sure you were helped quickly and they were very knowledgeable, upfront and honest to me. It's been a couple of years since my last visit until today. I wasn't even thinking about it but drove passed it and turned around w a grin and a Lil excitement to see what surprises await. I walk in and 3 people,(for identification purposes) all in there 20's to maybe early 30's, Latino features. (Didn't catch any names, as I never was spoken to) behind the counter standing damn near shoulder to shoulder. No one looked at me or said a peep to me. One was on speaker phone w a customer having a discussion about business and directions. The other two were just standing there acting like they all were completely commited and focused on listening to the phone conversation, but only the one was speaking. I walk around for 4-5 minutes looking and waiting to be acknowledged. Another customer approached the door hands full, and no one budged, so I quickly went to the door to assist. Not a peep to the other customer as he walked right up to the counter and put his stuff down. I browsed for several more minutes and finally walked up right in front of them and beside the other customer, and not even eye contact was given. Customer spoke a greeting and I responded in kind. I just walked to the exit and still not a word. Aside from cust service, they had an inventory that couldn't compete with a weak yard sale. Few Musical instruments, a small corner of tools in plastic storage boxes unlabeled. Had no idea what 85% was. Jewelry is all they have a decent inventory of probably 80-90% of the stores inventory. It's sad really. Has to be new ownership or management. This store will fade away unless they provide items people might want and have the staff to buy and sell merchandise for them. 10/13/2026 5pm read more

Beware of pawning sentimental expensive jewelry with this shop. I had an older item pawned over 8 months ago, I thought it was long gone. I had pawned other items since and never heard a word about it! I went in to pick up my recent items and was told I must pay up of this older item first. I was surprised he still had it! I owed months of interest which I paid and I agreed it would be difficult to sell. I was out of work and just getting back on my feet, I did not have enough to pay for all the items! Alex stated as long as I took care of this older item today he would hold on to the expensive items I was there to pickup! I called to get the total I owed to pick up my recent items today! I was told the expensive sentimental jewelry was sold because I was so behind on the extension payments and that must buy back the new lap top for $800. My mother recently passed and the sentimental value was priceless to me. Alex totally mislead me and I was not allowed to pick up or pay up on the expensive items until I had settled up on the older item. I had no idea they held item for 8 months. Do not trust this pawn shop, they are not trustworthy! They hold on to older items for over 8 months without hearing a word and if you are a couple weeks late on expensive items they sell it, even when you make an arrangements with Alex. The jewelry was easily worth over $2,000 and the Apple laptop was new and I paid $1050. I pawned the jewelry for about $250 and the laptop for $200. He totally set me up. Alex gave me his word and that is obvious not worth anything! I am a window, mom with 4 kids and I was out of work, back to school time. I had budgeted for the recent items, I had no idea they still had that older one from 8 months ago! They take advantage of people in a tough time, I thought this pawn shop was different. It is a horrible business and they are looking for ways take anything you have of value! Do not trust a word they say! The worst part of all this is that they know this is my daughter's laptop, we needed food and she offered to pawn it this for the family. She had to come in and enter her passwords. They still have this yet are requiring $800 to get it back now! They are just about the money, they do not care how they do it! I tried to get current but Alex insisted I pay for this older item I forgot they even had and never mentioned to me for 8 months, He promised he would hold the jewelry for me if I took care of this! read more

Been buying from these guys for about 6 years, yet after purchasing my 3rd "new" product from them it's clear to me their products are never new. They will lie and tell you it's just opened for testing. A brand new game system should not be squeaking loud enough for me to hear out from outside the room it's in. I've never had a game system give off a sound this loud and I've had plenty of systems over the years that I'd also transport to other places for play, yet none of them ever gave me problems like this. These guys sell polished crap, have some self respect and don't open the door to someone lying in your face to make a few bucks off you. It had been sitting around for two years and I kept forgetting to go look at chains for it. Simple and straight forward set up. A lot of antiques and a great DVD/Blu-Ray collection. The staff were frank but reasonable with their offer. Very relaxed atmosphere. Awful! Two dishonest younger guys with no manners or knowledge of customer service. Thanks for trying to rip me off. Not only did you not see or mention my one gold chain being 18kt and not 14kt. You also failed to have proper knowledge of the worth of a Rolex. Maybe because you two dummies can't afford one? I was offered triple the amount from another nearby store, by people who actually took the time to research the worth of the watch. They also were the ones who told me my one gold chain wasn't 14kt but instead 18kt. Not only were they honest and knowledgeable, but also FRIENDLY and knew how to SMILE. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I took my mom into Royal Pawn today to get a appraisel on her wedding ring. She is getting divorced and exploring diffrent options for her wedding ring. I took her to Royal Pawn because I have done several transactions with them and believed them to be honest. Upon appraisel they told her they could only offer her 275 for her wedding ring,band and anniversary band. They clamied the MOST they could sell it for was 1000 dollars and they would go as low as 500 for the sale. We did not do business with them but instead took it to a jewelry store where we learned the true value is 4000 dollars. I am aware that no pawn shop could pay even half the retail value and make money but a 275 maximum offer on a ring they would of sold for ATLEAST 2000 dollars is down right pathetic and criminal. I will not be doing business with them again. I urge other customers to get there jewelry appraised by a real jeweler before taking anything there. This may give u a CHANCE but probably not with Royal Pawn. read more

So, I am originally from Augusta Georgia by way of Baltimore for 30 years, (Yeah you can imagine the pawn shops I am used to dealing with from that neck of the woods). Save it to say that when I read the many reviews that said Royal Pawn was an honest Pawn shop I felt they were over stating things. I went in to sell two items one being a computer I had never used only took out of the box to photograph as i was attempting, unsuccessfully to sell it on my own. I had price in mind of what I wanted for these items, but, being from the Baltimore area, was realistic about what I was sure they would give me, (after all I knew where I was). For the computer they quickly got the make and type and looked it up to see what it would sell for new today. The other item they tested for quality etc, as they should. I was very impressed with their thoroughness. I was gobsmacked when they not only offered me what I wanted, but two times that amount. When I express my surprise and pleasure the older gentleman said to me "I do not want your business for just today but for the next ten, to twenty years, so I try to do thing the right way".
